In the two short days that I was in Nashville I was lucky enough to visit Nashville Crossroads three times. That's because they have bomb sauce music artists playing. Each time I went there there was a little bit country.. a little bit Bluegrass... a little bit rock and roll. Each band was awesome. This place may just be the most fun on all the Honky Tonk! Was walking past the area looking for a fun music scene and Nashville Crossroads surely delivers. They often have great music and great service to go along with it. Truly a memorable time while visiting over thanksgiving weekend :) There is a "curfew" during the pandemic, where everything needs to be closed and cleared by 10:30pm. Not half as bad as many other cities! Social distancing is enforced and promoted as often as possible and of course, as adults, each is responsible for keeping safe, without ruining the fun that is! :) read more

Absolutely loved this Honky Tonk! The bartenders were friendly and accommodating. Lots of good whiskey and bourbon, although they don't carry bitters which is kind of odd. But other than that, the drinks and beer selection were good. But of course, when you come to Nashville, it's all about the music. This is where this place stands out, which is hard to do considering the talent up and down Broadway. On a Friday night in Music City we were treated to many excellent musicians but Lauren Fitts and her band, who happened to be playing at Nashville Crossroads, at least on this night, were in a league of their own. The band played extremely well together; Lauren Fitts has an amazing voice. They were extremely versatile in regards to the Covers that they played and their original works were excellent as well. Hope we get to catch them again sometime. Will still be in Nashville for a couple of more days, I'm sure we'll head back here. Am looking forward to seeing what other talent shows up. read more

We stumbled upon this bar while roaming downtown on Easter Sunday. They had an amazing band performing which lured us in. Well drinks were 8$, servers were super attentive. Lively crowd, some folks dancing. We stayed for hours just enjoying the scene... nice spot! read more

Like a lot of other bars on Broadway the band is up front so you can hear them from the street. Bands play for tips. The drink prices are decent and the bartenders are serious; they keep bottle openers in their wrist bands. The band was okay (they seemed to do original songs) but the talking between songs wasn't that great. read more

Got a seat at the bar and quickly realized we found a gem of a place. Cheapest Shiner Bock we found on Broadway, also the coldest! Our bartender was fun, friendly and worked fast with a smile. Went in seeking this "honky-tonk" that everyone speaks of, came out loving Nashville. This bar single handedly gave us the quintessential Nashville experience. From the guys in cowboy boots and hats, to the friendly bartenders, to Mark the bouncer (apparently in the south Mark has three syllables and sounds strangely like Martin). We danced all night to the band The Detonators. They were really good, and I think that we entertained them as much as they entertained us. We stopped in for a drink at ended up being the final customers to leave when they closed at 3! It is a great little bar to cut loose and be yourself, no pretension, no sqeezy guys trying to pick you up. Just normal people looking to have a good time! This little bar did have a few quirks the first being the enormous wooden sign from the Alton Belle Casino.- See we are from St. Louis outside of Alton and can't quite figure out how a sign for a casino that no longer exists ended up in Nashville, no where near the Mississippi. But it was our first sign that this was the bar for us. Secondly, strangely Ab Lincoln hung out for a while. Honestly a guy dressed as Ab Lincoln, make-up and all visited the bar, for no apparent reason. Broadway in Nashville felt a lot like Bourbon Street, the Vegas Strip on a Saturday night: plenty of neon, lots of woo girls, broskis, and lots and lots of AC/DC. My wife and I wanted to check out Nashville Crossroads but the hordes of partygoers packing every single spot veered us away from Broadway. Broadway on a Sunday night seemed to be a lot more subdued and thankfully we didn't see elbow-to-elbow crowds. Nashville Crossroads turned out being the exact experience we were hoping to come across on our visit to the country music capital of the world where until we came to this venue, we came across bands playing Ricky Martin and Bon Jovi more than country music. The band performing when we came in was great, they took requests, but wouldn't play anything other than country; me wife and I aren't particularly familiar with country music, but this was a totally fun experience for us both. We can listen to a cover band playing classic rock or top 40 hits in any given city, so it was great get a taste of something new. You have your basic domestic bottles for $4, some imported stuff in bottles for $5, but get yourself a Yazoo pale ale and enjoy the show, and then follow up with some bourbon (of which there are plenty of selections). Simple, fun, and somewhere we would definitely go back to when in Nashville. read more

If you have been to one Honky Tonk bar you have truly seen them all, but hey we all like to be adventurous and try something new. The band was pretty good; of course you know they work for tips and the moment you walk in the door and haven't heard a full song; they will come up to you and want to know if you want to tip the band. Here is my tip; wait till I have heard a full song before you ask! Bartender was efficient and had a decent pour; drink prices are average. In all the bars I went to Nashville Crossroads is my favorite! The venue is set up perfectly! As soon as you walk in the band is to your right so you can tell immediately if you are going to enjoy their music, or the crowd. I do not know who was playing on Sat. 6/17/17 however, the lady was amazing! She played everything from Cranberries to Stevie Nicks and everything in-between! Our group did not wait long to get served, in fact we were in and out pretty quickly as we were doing our own little pub crawl! The thing I love about Crossroads is, you're not going to here fake twangy Florida Georgia Line music. You hear real honky tonk country. We come to Crossroads a lot! Should have known when asking the bouncer where should we make sure to visit and he didn't list his own bar that we should have stayed away. 12/28/18 Went in, not busy at all, open spaces at the bar, no wait for 6 of us and we got beers immediately. For the other two, they waited 10 min for the single female bartender to bounce all over the bar serving and hugging people. She finally gets to our friends and they only order one beer because the rest of us are almost done. Our friends gives her flack for bouncing all over and not serving him and that he was leaving the bar after the single beer. She grabbed his already paid for beer took it to the sink and said "bye bye" as she poured it down the sink. Poor service, off key band. Would not go back. read more

This place is pretty standard. A few good beers on tap, but not many. Drinks were moderately priced and fairly well mixed. There was live music. The problem I had with the music was that it was way too loud. I couldn't hear my friends unless they yelled directly in my ear. Also, the singer of the band when I went was horrible. Why I gave it 4 stars instead of the average 3: One of the bartenders did some amazing tricks with bottles that was quite entertaining. Also, the crowd was really nice. It was busy without being overcrowded. Most of the people were the type to kick back with a beer and have a good time. No one cared what you were wearing or who you were with. The fun atmosphere was enhanced by people getting up and dancing all over the place when a good song came on. Overall, not the best bar in Nashville. But if you are bar hopping on Broadway, it is worth checking out. read more

I've been to the Crossroads twice. On both occasions, a country singer named Tim McDonald was playing. From now on when I go honky tonkin', the Crossroads will be my first stop to see if Tim is playing. He's a great performer and makes the entire experience fun for everyone. The actual Crossroads bar is nice. It has a very old west feel to it. The bar is long and they have an okay selection of beer. For the most part, there is little seating. Most of the real estate is dedicated to standing room only. My advice is to go early. Do some day drinking. The bands are good, there is no cover, and there is no crowd. For my money the best joint on Broadway. Unpretentious, excellent service, crowd made it seem like a neighborhood bar. But the best thing was the band. Don't know who they were (that's them in the photo) but they were amazing musicians. The front man played fantastic guitar, sang beautifully (he has a range like Raul Malo) and kept up a truly funny dialog with the crowd. These were not kids they were pro musicians who could play country, blues, you name it (the pedal steel player is a better blues guitarist than most "regular" players - unreal!). I have been coming to Nashville for 3 years, ever since my husband Richard left me, or as I called him, Dick. I love stopping into Crossroads as they have the most talented bands, my favorite being the Outliers on Friday nights, and the Eskimo Brothers on Sundays!! I love all of the bartenders, they are such sweet girls and always make great conversation while giving quick service. They are top notch, certainly among the best I've ever seen! I LOVE the little red head on Wednesdays, I want to say her name is Gabby? She is just the sweetest thing, and takes exceptional care of all of her bar guests! Management, if you're reading this, Gabby is amazing at her job, and will go very far in hospitality/customer service!! I just visited tonight, 3/11, and Gabby was as quick and charming as ever! So I've been here twice now and think the Crossroads is an A-OK honky tonk on the lower Broadway circuit. Actually, the first time I came here I only remember dancing to the band while one of the members winked at my brother's girlfriend. Good times! This last time I remember a little more clearly. Inexpensive drinks compared to the rest of Broadway. Drunk tourists and locals all mingled together. Good band. Seats in the back. Smoke 'em if you got 'em. Bathrooms not too hideous. Bottom line: put the Crossroads on the regular rotation - this is a true honky tonk! read more

Band was great! Drink was weak and did not taste good, so I nicely asked the blonde bar tender to remake it and she was very rude, refused and got an attitude. So I closed out my ticket and told her that we would have stayed all night drinking as we loved the band. I did not leave her a tip upon closing out our ticket, I tried to take her picture and she made very aggressive faces and like here I am jerk, shaking her arms and head all childish like! VERY unprofessional!! Then had the doorman come ask my wife and I to leave before we could even finish our drinks, which we did without a creating a scene or saying a word. We were minding our own business and sitting there enjoying the band. I guess she did not like the tip section on the bill that had a $0 in it! This was a fun space along our honky tonk walking tour. The music was more rock and blues, which suited us fine after a day filled with mostly C&W. The bartenders are very attentive and the space is comfortable for dancing or just kicking back to listen. I've been to Nashville several times as I travel for a living. I've always had an amazing time. While walking down the street, the drummer if the band was on break and invited us in. We had a destination in mind and said we would come back to have a listen..and so we did. We walked in, and sat at a small table. The place was empty. There were 6 people at the bar. 2 at a table and us (2 people) During the 10 minutes I sat there, the bartender made eye contact with me 2 times, but was unable to acknowledge us or come to our table. Instead she made conversation with a co-worker behind the bar (sound guy? security?) intentionally ignoring us. So, I looked around the room for any sign that said, 'no table service', there was none. I approached the bar after making eye contact with and being ignored by the bartender. I stated that while I appreciated that they were understaffed if the place was full, I didn't understand why we were being ignored after making eye with the bartender 2 times, with only 8 other people in the building. She said if I wanted something, I could have come to the bar asked her for it.??? I stated that there was no sign that said table service only, nor did she inform me of that the 2 times she made eye contact with, and chose to ignore me. I told her her customer service left much to be desired. I returned to my table to wait for my friend who was in the lavatory. The bartender spoke to me from a cross the room, in an aggressive manner. I told her to F**k off. She told me to leave. (gladly!) There is a reason that, of all of the over packed places on Broadway this establishment has 6 people at the bar. Hint, it's not the band. They were great. The management decision to understaff this establishment, and leave, as the only front end staff, a bartender that could not be less interested in customer service speaks to why there is a lack of customers. The friend I was with had been here several weeks ago, sat AT THE BAR, and had a similar experience with the same bartender. Management, if you're reading this, you really need to do something about your staffing, your customer service training, and particularly the bartender behind the bar at 5pm on 3/11/2020. It's not a one time occurance. I will be informing all of my travel partners, that when in Nashville, this is the last place to go. read more

Love this Honkey Tonk! Incredible music every night we went on our 5 day trip! What's unique is the musicians here felt much more authentic, not playing to crazy crowds and your typical cover songs.
