One of my favorite bars for NYE on broadway in Nashville. There was a 10$ cover, but had excellent drink specials. The band was amazing! The bartender was super nice and made an excellent moonshine margarita which was a first for me (from Alabama). I liked that the vibe was more adult than 21 years old. We stopped into Bootleggers Inn after spending a few hours at Whiskey Bent Saloon. We actually followed the musician over so we could continue listening to him. We grabbed a two top by the stage and across from the bar and ordered up a couple of cold snacks. The snacks were cold and the music was great. Bootleggers inn is a shotgun type bar, skinny and deep like a New Orleans house. The bar area is packed and they sell some neat T Shirts as well. The bartenders were attentive and quick with service and the music was excellent. Bootleggers Inn has clean bathrooms, and is a very lovely spot that was full of people for early afternoon on a Saturday. The drinks were very reasonable price wise and the overall ambience was great. This is a good spot to just chill with a beer and listen to good Music. Oatmeal cookie, watermelon , banana pudding & pickle , the flavors we tried in that order the oatmeal cookie is wild as it taste like a cookie it was good, watermelon & banana pudding also great tasting as you would image. the pickle ahh guess it depends on u I wasn't a fan my friend loved it. This is Nashville... and we are moving j to swamp ass summer season. Hydration is key if you want your customers to continue to party. My colleagues and I stumbled upon Bootleggers after making a few laps on Broadway looking for a place to land. It wasn't too crowded inside so we figured we had nothing to lose - so off we went. From a visual standpoint, Bootleggers is like most of the other bars on the strip - super casual, live music playing, and a variety of drinks. What set this place apart from its peers for me the most though was the fact that moonshine was prominently displayed on their menu. Is it real moonshine? I doubt it because I thought it was illegal in most states - but whatever it was they have a variety of flavors and drinks made with it. We had one round - I got one of the moonshine flavors, I think root beer but don't quote me. It was pretty good, the liquor was strong and not my favorite, but that's more of a me thing. Live music was good, and overall Bootleggers was fine. It's worth a stop as you're going up and down the strip - I wouldn't be against returning myself but I'm not running back here. read more

Found Bootleggers In on Groupon because they offer line dancing classes in their upstairs portion. I mean when on Broadway in Nashville country line dancing is a must right? It was easy to find and upon entering it's a nice small space with a small stage upfront and then a long bar. This bar specializes in moonshine and they have quite a number of specialty flavors. It's a full service so if moonshine isn't your thing you can choose something else. The day I went it was during the day so it was on the slower side but the bartender was very friendly while I waited for the instructor to show up. The upstairs is spacious and they have a stage and bar up there but the upstairs bar only opens when busy or an event is going on. Cute little place in Nashville. read more

Worst front door security EVER!! I tried to come in and the dude tried to ID me. Ok I get it. Safety first, but I'm 53 and when I laughed. He told me not to be a bitch. Seriously! I put Bootlegger's Inn on the list after someone told me I must try the moonshine shots. BI is basically like any ol' honky tonk on Broadway. Kinda seedy, kinda sticky, kinda stinky. It wasn't crowded on a Thursday evening compared to some of the other bars in the neighboring area. Maybe that was an indication of how good (or not good?) it was. I'm reaching out regarding a serious incident that occurred at the bar on Friday, June 21st around 3 PM. I was trying to enter with my friends when one of the male bouncers aggressively shoulder-checked me for absolutely no reason. I was not being disruptive or causing any issue, and the way I was handled was completely uncalled for. It was humiliating in front of my friends and has left me with a sore shoulder that still hurts days later. What's even more concerning is that after checking some of the online reviews, it appears I'm not the only one who has had an experience like this. If this kind of aggressive behavior is a recurring issue, something needs to be done. I've attempted to call the bar multiple times to speak with someone, but the line has been busy. I reached out directly because I would like a response and to know what steps will be taken to address this. This has got to stop so nobody else gets hurt. read more

Best variety of moonshine in Nashville under one roof. They do not sell food here. They carry Forge and Old Smokey Mountain here and have an array of ones to try. My favorite was the oatmeal cookie and strawberry creamsicle. They were yummy like a dessert. read more

This place was recommended to us from a friend. I loved it. It was old-school country. The solo performer played old time country songs with twang and attitude. He was awesome. We got there as he was setting up so we got a table near the stage before people started coming in off the street. It's a rather small bar and the performer knew everyone. This bar would have been a 5 star but the guy outside checking ID's smoking was obnoxious and the smoke while you are waiting was just not necessary. The band was fantastic, we were there around 9 on the Thursday and they killed it, the girl with the fiddle was outstanding. Really good drinks and they weren't served in flimsy plastic cups. Rating this a five for just what it is. You don't go into Bootleggers with a bachelorette party of glittery pink youngsters. You go there for a mellow solo musician playing music to a bunch of people that just want to have a drink and listen to music. This is not the party place. This is the country music soloist, dark, semi-clean, moody, bar that you need sometimes. Take it for what it is. I am not comparing it to other places on Broadway. They have a bar that sits about 10 ppl and a few top tables and each have 4 stools. They have a couple of TVs by the bar and a small stage where they offer live music. They don't have beer on tab but they do have a variety of bottles to choose from. They have different flavors of moonshine and liquors. With all the jam packs places on Broadway, Bootleggers was a little Slice of Heaven with some Hometown loving! This place had such a great vibe that it brought us back twice during our short visit to Nashville. That says a lot with all of the bars on that street. Both times the music was fantastic and the second time the band was so gracious to accommodate all my friend's request. That gave me plenty of times to sample all the crazy flavors of moonshine that this bar had. Who knew that you could get a moonshine that came with a bloody mary back! Both times the servers were beyond friendly and the place just had this cool kick back vibe. Don't miss this place if you were on Broadway.
