Lucky Bastards Saloon during CMA weekend

We visited in Nashville during CMA weekend, so this place was packed by the time we passed through the area. Quick stop here to check it out, but we wisely kept it moving til the next visit.

We've been to lots of bars on Broadway in Nashville, but last week was the first time we stopped in at Lucky Bastard. Walking down the street on a Friday afternoon, the band inside drew us in. The place was hopping but we found a table up by the band. When there's a good band playing, the vibe in these bars is electric and that was definitely the case here. I forget the name of the band, but the girl playing violin in Devil Went Down to Georgia was amazing! Drinks were great and we also ordered the pretzel and queso appetizers which were very good. Lucky Bastard will definitely be on our list of bars to visit next time we're back in Nashville!

Service was great! Drinks were good and decent band for so early. No to big of crowd at open hours.

We were looking for a spot to have lunch after a line dance lesson and happened to see the giant "Hot Chicken" sign on the building. I loved how the time we went it was slower. We were able to get our food quickly and we had a front row seat to watch local country singers. The people we saw were great. (Thank you for taking my Brad Paisley request). At first I thought the food was insanely priced but I was wrong once the food arrived. I got the 2 piece tenders with fries and coleslaw. The tenders were basically cutlets. They were massive. They also gave us a giant portion of the fries. The food was great. The tenders were pretty spicy even at a mild level. The fries were covered in seasoned salt which I wish more places provided. All of the food came out to 20 dollars so I thought it ended up being worth it. If the name Lucky Bastard doesn't make you want to stop in, go for the food!

I was lured into Lucky Bastard Saloon purely by their giant 'Hot Chicken' sign, as that was exactly what I was looking for after a line dancing class nearby. Maybe it's because we came in around noon, but this bar seems to be a lot more chill than some of its neighbors, and I like that. We were practically the only ones upstairs at the time and felt like we were getting a private concert! I was not expecting to have some of the best hot chicken I've ever had at this bar, but I sure did... It was fantastic!! Very spicy, tender and juicy. and you get a LOT! Our server was very friendly too and quick with everything. Do not sleep on this place for some good food. You won't be disappointed!

While walking along Broadway, we were looking for a place to eat lunch. Finally, I asked Diane to "pick a place--any place," after which she soon brushed by the barker in front of this establishment. He looked pleased and beckoned us to enter the packed place. To our delight we secured seats near the bar at the only open booth available. While a live band churned out a series of covers of rock and country hits, we were handed menus that featured numerous offerings of comfort food. For appetizers we ordered White Cheddar Bites and Fried Pickles that from a distance looked like wiggling French Fries. And, while Diane opted for a medium rare plain Greasy Bastard Burger with Crinkle Cut Fries, I chose a Lucky Philly Steak Sandwich with a side of Onion Rings that were overcooked. My Philly Steak Sandwich with Mushrooms was tasty and filling. Diane's burger was more medium than medium rare as ordered but she still found it to be okay. And, we clearly had ordered more food than we could realistically eat. So, some Cheddar Bites and Fried Pickles were left behind. We stayed for about an hour enjoying our food and the live music before leaving.

Friendly staff, quick service, great music, clean bar & bathroom! There are some great photo opp spots within the bar which I love for the mementos on a trip.

Great bar to have a few drinks and dance the night away. Bar food is available if you're hungry as well. Upstairs there is live DJ and you have live music downstairs. It is very spacious, clean and a great time overall. Wasn't overcrowded and plenty of space to sit down or dance. The service was also great!

The Lucky Bastard Saloon was one of the first places we stopped at on Broadway and we had an amazing time! As soon as we walked in, we went straight to the bar and grabbed a drink before heading to enjoy the band. The good thing about this spot was that it had two bar areas; one near the entrance and the other near the band area, which made it easy to get drinks all night! The bartenders were fun and the specialty drinks were great! The band was amazing!!! They were singing hit after hit and definitely kept the crowd going! People were sending song recommendations for $20 and they had a tip box for anyone that wanted to give extra. I highly recommend checking this spot out. Definitely a great bar to listen to live music while grabbing great drinks!!!

This place was great! The live music was awesome and the food excellent, especially the hot chicken nachos.

We are here now. The band is awesome - playing a lot of classic rock and alternative covers which is a welcome break from the non stop country. Apparently the singer was from season 15 of The Voice which is cool. Kayla is awesome and really good. She treated us well. We didn't eat here, but the drinks were good. Happy and will return!

This is one my favorite places to take people from out of town when they want to hit broadway. It's fairly easygoing and usually has a great band playing. We sat at one of the tables closer to the stage and our server took great care of us, making sure we had all the drinks and food we needed. The band was rocking, but the music is super loud if you're up near the stage.

Stoke Haus Brewing & BBQ is hands down the best BBQ experience of my life!…read more A few helpful tips before you go: parking is a little limited right in front and the entrance is easy to miss. There is additional parking around the side in an open lot that felt safe, was free (at least currently), and was super convenient. Once you arrive, walk around the left side of the building and order inside at the bar. They'll give you a pager, and when your food is ready, you'll head outside to the food truck for pickup. When we first walked in, I have to admit I thought, "What is that smell?" Then I realized it was the giant brewing vats and the smell of the beer-making process. Once I connected the dots, I actually started appreciating it and felt it added to the experience and the authenticity of the brewery. We tried their signature beer, a quality dark ale that paired perfectly with our meal. It had a great depth of flavor and was the perfect complement to the BBQ. For food, we ordered and split: Half order of ribs: incredibly tender with a crispy, flavorful top. They were packed with flavor and came with two dipping sauces. I preferred the BBQ sauce over the Carolina-style sauce, but both were enjoyable. Brussels sprouts: OH MY GOODNESS. I genuinely did not know vegetables could taste this good. Even my veggie-hating partner loved them, which honestly says everything. These were a standout. Mac & cheese: visually, this was beautiful and looked like it was going to be a favorite. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the way I expected and wasn't as satisfying as I hoped. THE BRISKET BURGER = THE STAR OF THE SHOW! I have never had a brisket burger before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was phenomenal. The Gouda cheese was incredible, and the combination of the mayo, pickles, and sauce created the perfect balance of flavors. It was everything you want in a burger and more. This is the dish I will be telling everyone about. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was fantastic. They have board games in the back, and it looks like they host karaoke nights, which gives the space a really fun, community-oriented feel. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, welcoming, and helpful. Honestly, there was nothing to complain about. Great food, great beer, great people, and a unique experience. Stoke Haus is a must-visit and if you go, do yourself a favor and order the brisket burger. You won't regret it.

You know the places I'm talking about. No, I wanted somewhere authentic. In a neighborhood, not near the mall. A place most people would drive past. Stoke Haus is all this and more. Much more. 2pm on Sunday and the parking lot was full. (I'm sure a good handful was for the liquor store next door). The first issue - how do you get in?? There is no front door. There is a tall wooden fence on the side of the building. I peek through the gap between the fence and the wall. A long smoker, a pile of wood, a small food truck (what???). I see a couple leaving the building by a side door. This must be it. There is a sign taped to the door: order at the bar and pick up at the truck. Following instructions, we approach the bar. The couple next to me just got their food. OMG. That looks so good. I ask what they have...brisket, a pulled pork sandwich, German potato salad, cole slaw, fried okra and a little pile of pickles and marinated onions. I don't even look at the menu. "I want that" I tell the bartender. We each order a beer (I forgot to mention that this is a brewery too). We received our beer and a buzzer, found a table and proceeded to play on our phones until the buzzer went off. My husband went outside to the food truck and came in with a metal tray nearly overflowing with food. We didn't waste a second digging in. The brisket was incredibly tender with a most amazing bark. A little too fatty, even for brisket, but still a "must order". The sandwich was absolutely stuffed with tender, juicy pulled pork. Perfection. The sides, especially the potato salad were excellent (though the okra wasn't made from scratch, it was still worthy). The pickles? That final little "oomph". Our meal wasn't just a home run, it was a grand slam! I've written a lot of reviews. I've written a lot of 5 star reviews. I'd love to be able to give Stoke Haus 10 stars. This is definitely a don't miss!!
