What am I doing in Silverton? I sort of wonder the same thing when I got here. Train ride. What can I say. The place is retaining its charm and appeal from 1912. Actually, it is pretty nice with that old kitsch from the ages. Service was fast, I'll give them that. There was a couple in front of us, when we told the host we were three, boom, in we went. The tables have menus as the table cloth so that made it quick. Service is fast and efficient. The food it self was decent and okay. Could be what I ordered.

I have a second home in Silverton, so I visit multiple times a year for weeks at a time. When I'm NOT in town, I get mouth-watering CRAAAVINGS for Natalia's Philly chicken sandwich! It's a very simple dish, but the bread is always fresh, the chicken is tender and juicy with no gristle. Add melty cheese and seasoned, sautéed veggies. *Sluuurp* Is the service slow? Yeah, sometimes. But as a "local" whose schedule is not dictated by the train timetable, I don't really care if I have to wait a bit (within reason, of course). A few summers in a row, Natalia's has hired back the same servers who are non-native English speakers. I always show patience when they're taking my order, and I let the servers know they can help the tourists first since they're the ones on a more rigid time schedule. Listen, Silverton is BEAUTIFUL, but it's frickin' remote and "small towny" as hell. It's not an easy place for ANYONE to live, much less someone who isn't born-and-bred American. What an incredible opportunity it is for Natalia's servers to get to know this magnificent place WHILE working a service industry job (sometimes more than one!) and BRAVELY immersing themselves in not only a new language, but in what is surely a crazy culture shock.

Date of visit was 09/03/22. Nice looking place in historic Silverton. Ambiance is typical old west. Very relaxing. Unfortunately, our food was not that good. We shared a burger and fries. Menu states burger is 1/2 pound cooked medium. NOT! Pattie was 1/3 of a pound, overcooked! Fries were from freezer to fryer. Yuck! Beers were the best things we had. Yikes!

Do not order the roast grisly beef. If I could give it a zero star that is to high. On the plus side the fries were edible.

Food was disgusting. Two meals had to be sent back, completely inedible. Wish we had checked the reviews before going.

Pour on a little salsa and boom! So here's what went down...I was throwing a bday bash at my house and wanted a taco truck/trailer that catered. Spotted El Agave Azul's food trailer in Montrose, so tried them out and it was a done deal! Since their flagship restaurant was in Ridgway, we decided to drive out and grab some lunch so we could personally meet the owners. Again the food was super good, flavorful and delish...not to mention the fresh and yummy margs! The owners, Jose and Lucia were an absolute pleasure to meet and work with for our party. They arrived early to set-up, were very professional, meticulous and took great care of our guests. We ordered street tacos (naturally the carne asada as well as grilled chicken), rice, refried beans, chips & salsa, and quesidillas. Everyone ranted and raved about the food and loved every bit of it...in fact there were very little leftovers which is always a good sign! ;-) I cannot say enough about El Agave Azul. Their food and catering services are top notch! Highly recommend for your next party or just head on over to their restaurant, and be sure to say "hi" to Jose and Lucia!

The Burrito and Carne Asada tacos were very good! The food is served on hot plates which is great, yet the food itself was only warm. Not hot. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered a couple of entrees togo, for dinner later.
