My family and I enjoyed our visit here today. We were lucky it wasn't busy day today. The place is pretty nice and the staff were very attentive. The food choices were amazing and the price is good. Ambiance is great! We ordered two plates of chimichanga and they were delicious. I had the chonguito in beef fajita and it was good. The guacamole was tasty, sadly they gave you little rice to enjoy your plate. I recommend this place if you are looking for a good Mexican food.

I really wanted Tex-Mex so I chose this place because it had the best reviews and was on my way to my next stop. It's here I should say my review is only as high as it is because of the staff. They were incredible from start to finish-welcoming, attentive and fast. The food however left a lot to be desired. If you are looking for "Mexican" food that looks and tastes just like it came out of a large can and the kitchen never put a single speck of seasoning, this is your place. I was initially happy to see that the salsa and chips were accompanied by some complimentary queso blanco and I thought that was a nice touch. I ordered one of the daily specials that was supposed to feature a cheese enchilada, ground beef taco and fajita chicken taco. The meal was supposed to come with one other item that was supposed to be chile con carne but when they brought my taco out (within 5 mins of ordering) it had a queso puff and I never saw the chile con carne item. The salsa was probably the best part of the experience. The red has a great flavor with the slightest kick and is possibly the most seasoned thing I ate. Because of the cheese puff I can say the queso blanco and queso are a toss-up -neither edges the other out. My beef taco was watery but thankfully the taco shell was crispy and held up to the task. I started eating my enchilada, rice and beans and it had no flavor so I asked the waiter for Cholula and waited until I could add it to my food before I started eating again. I then opened my chicken fajita taco and saw it was just meat. No onions, no dressing, just tortilla and meat. I dumped the meat on top of my rice and beans, added more Cholula and ate a few more bites before deciding I'd had enough and didn't want to eat more of something I didn't enjoy. This place is for someone who isn't a true Tex-Mex lover and doesn't like seasoning. If that isn't you, try somewhere else.

The service and overall vibe here is good. Everybody seemed to be smiling the entire time I was there. I was drawn in by the menu prices (they make no sense mathematically, which is always funny to me) but was unfortunately very disappointed by the food. The queso is Not good at all - I had to mix my salsas into it to make it edible. I love my share of pre-made and homemade quesos, but this was just nasty and had very little flavor. The chicken flautas were also pretty disappointing. They were presented nicely, but the chicken was ground very finely so the mouth feel was not appealing. I ate half of one and gave up. The other thing that wasn't great is their table menus. They show the daily specials but don't specify they're only for 5pm-close. I wouldn't have ordered queso if I knew that was the case. I pointed out that the daily specials menu printed out doesn't indicate any time limitations, but my waiter didn't honor that because there's a separate sign by the cashier that specifies the timings. Not a great experience but probably good on a budget if you order the right food

I am a fan. We spent many years in San Antonio and were used to going to a local Tex-Mex restaurant and getting a good plate of food for about 11 bucks. This is still that place. Sadly, these places aren't as common in the Houston area, and Just a few blocks from this Restaurant's location you are in the woodlands, and you'd be paying about double that. This really should be called Natalita's number two because that's the sign outside. number one's in Jersey Village and Natalita's number three's in Tomball. Dinner for two with drinks is under 40 bucks. And that's with food to spare. I ordered the carnitas, which was a good value. Combo plates are a good value. They have lots of different Mexican beers and late-night Happy Hour with cocktails under six bucks. Staff are friendly native Spanish speakers. Everybody's welcoming. Comfortable place, very homey. What's not to love? This is not an "impressive" place. This is a 1980s Mexican restaurant. It's more like your regular place when you don't want to spend a lot of money. Very standard, fare, no surprises.

We have been coming here for many years for launch. What we like the most is the queso Blanco, and the chicken tacos. Diego is our server and he always presents professionalism and never disappoints! The food is delicious and well prepared HOT.

Always have a great time. The bartender knows his Rita's, and the food is always top notch. it's the only Tapas place around, and not enough people venture to try it. Also, the music sets a mood. My spouse and I always come here before a movie date. Give it a try!

Totes came back... didn't take long before the craving kicked in hah! Their perfectly crisp chips (with just the right thickness) and salsa were on the brain, and we wanted to try more of their menu. Behold, the Queso Flameado - a cool spectacle of a dish brought the table en fuego!!! (And super yummy, topped with meaty & smoky chorizo - served with fresh tortillas.) HIT THE SPOT.

Y'all are awesome on customer service skills (managers only). Unfortunately for me, I am a latina and this place caters mostly to American palates. The Cheese tastes like it comes out of a can on the enchiladas. It was a quite unpalatable. The simple elements like the beans and rice weren't quite right as well. The one thing I did find here that is spot on is the caldo de res. That should be the star of the show! I'll give it another shot. read more

Natalita's is our absolute favorite Mexican restaurant. Their salsas, quest and chips are fantastic and we have yet to order anything from the menu we don't love. The service is always fantastic. We hate it when we eat with friends and have to eat at any other Mexican restaurant . My favorite dish is the fajita enchiladas. read more

House chips and salsas (tomatillo and tomato) are YUM! The Chicken Diablos was delicious and the margaritas are simple yet amazing. Check the menu before you go cause there are so many tasty choices that you may be overwhelmed and fill up on the chips and margarita before you can decide. :) read more

Tried out this little spot at the recommendation of another Yelper. Did not disappoint!! We started with the queso which was hot & fresh, alongside their chips which I liked quite a bit. I had a house margarita; perfect ratio of mix to tequila. I had the beef fajita chimichanga, which was delish! My bf got the burrito supreme and said it was great. My daughter got the kid's chicken tenders & she liked that as well. Didn't save room for dessert, but definitely will go back!! Service was wonderful. Highly recommend!! read more

customer service was at an all time high 10/10. as soon as we walked in we were greeted by the host- whom sat us down in our booth. waters came quickly and were filled constantly (did not have to ask once). menu had a lot to offer- ambiance was very intimate and peaceful. employees were observing very efficiently (through observation). host was great- took our orders warned us about HOT plates- now to the food.. the food?... the "food"... well lets just say i purposely took some home so that i can eat it later. 10/10 cooks are very talented, i will be coming back again for lunch (lunch special). still have the taste of enchiladas, and churros. amazing. thank you, read more

When I typed in Barbacoa into the a Yelp search field I expected to see it on the menu when I walked in, but they don't even serve it on the menu. Err. Next time. I order the Carne Guisada, which I like to think I've got a good taste for authentic Tex-Mex style but this was straight up Mexican style salsa used on the beef tips, which btw were tender. The salsa of the Guiso was more of a heavy tomato taste and well that affected the taste experience. The rice and beans, good, the tortillas, likely store bought. Overall the place is nice, they give free queso blanco which was very tasty. I don't see myself returning but that doesn't mean it's not worth exploring. read more

My husband and I came here for lunch and it was pretty good. The chips and salsa were amazing! He had chicken fajitas which turned out great. I had cheese enchiladas with rice and beans and it was quite tasty. The only thing we disagreed upon were the frijoles, rice, and queso dip. The beans and cheese looked and tasted like they came from a can. If you mix it with other flavors, you do not taste it as much as when you eat it by itself. The rice did not taste authentic. But, everything else was great! read more

OMG! This is hands-down, the best Mexican food in town. My husband and I ate here as a late lunch/early dinner entree and we were hesitant at first however this was soon replaced with great admiration. The service was attentive and came at the right time. The food was fast, hot, and delicious. My only complaint was the taste of the refried beans and once this was brought to the Managers attention he promptly threw it out and made a new batch. I will eat here a million times over. read more

I have been now 5 times every time was great, from the Chilly Rellenos to the fajitas. There house margaritas are good too excellent the cheese Sauce appetizer. I am a fan! Excellent food. Friendly service. My only complaint is that they served a shameful bowl of broken up chips to me. No man likes a broken chip! Other than that, I thought it was all superb. Loved the warmed salsa. I had three enchiladas; a cheese, a beef, and a spicy chicken. I thought they were exceptional. The plate was nicely presented and I promptly cleaned it. Ordered food to be delivered with Waitr. Food arrived very promptly and was very hot! I ordered the chicken soup and chicken quesadilla. Both were very delicious. The soup had so much chicken in it that it could have been a meal on its own and the quesadilla was over flowing with cheese and chicken. One of the best quesadillas I've ever had. We stopped in for a late lunch. We have only had their take out before which was very good! I was happy to see they have a FULL MENU!!!! We haven't been able to get Beef Fajita Nachos at the place (chain) that we normally go because they are still using a limited menu, so we had a full order & a queso! I really enjoy this place for lunch, they bring out the food really fast. The waiters are very attentive and make you feel very comfortable, they recognize you if you've been there more than once. They remember what you order from the first few times you go in. I work nearby so I go once or twice a week, they have good lunch specials and happy hour. The food is not really Mexican food it's more of Tex-Mex but the flavor is good nonetheless. I really enjoy the music and the amount of TVs they have to watch sports. I definitely recommend this place for a quick hour lunch. read more

Customer service was great. The waitor however seemed like he was really rushed, could have just been the fact it was mothers day. The food was good however the stuffed avocado was drowning in cheese. The food would have been excellent if it wasn't overpowered with all that cheese. The fish platter was also delicious. This place has become my most recent go-to when that little voice says - "pssst....Dave....Dave....i know you hear me....you want fajitas." Admittedly, I hear that voice a lot. In any case, I usually order the fajitas. They give you a decent quantity that tastes great. The meet is tender and flavorful and those tortillas had me at hello. I love this stuff! My son elects to go for the cheese enchiladas. I don't have to ask him how much he likes them because is a super picky eater and this is the one place where he actually cleans his plate. The margaritas are solid as well and when you glance around the restaurant, you'll see them on most tables. This place is a well oiled machine. There are plenty of staff and they all work unison to bring drinks / chips / salsa / refills / orders / food -- and that food usually comes out before I can feel guilty for eating chips, salsa, and queso. I found this trick that works for me. Since I 100% of the time feel guilty for leaving the place feeling so full, I started parking on the other end of the parking lot. This allows my to burn off 2.7 calories of the food that just ate so I feel 2.7 percent less guilty. On a serious note - this place is the real deal. While some of my previous favorites have either closed down or gone downhill a bit - Julio's has remained strong. ¡Salud!

Very Disappointed! I've patronized this restaurant for years, but can no longer eat there because the servers do not wear masks during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Not wearing masks to protect their customers is not responsible and dangerous. When we asked why they don't wear masks, the response was "we don't need to, they don't protect us." Possibly, they should talk to a medical professional to understand they are protecting other people by wearing a mask. Especially in their restaurant as their customers must remove their masks to eat, leaving them very vulnerable to being exposed by a server. My doctor has advised to avoid this restaurant. So disappointed at their attitude, but this group of 6 will no longer be dining there. read more
