Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich
Jessica S.

My boyfriend and I came and sat at the bar for a quick bite to eat and drink and I really enjoyed my food & the moscato they serve is flavorful! The hot honey on the hot honey chicken sandwhich was dripping off and it was delicious. The sweet potato tater tots were small but mighty in flavor & great with ranch - which I will say, coming from a ranch lover, they have great ranch!! The bartenders and food service were both quick which we appreciated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is very cute inside & would be a great date spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It really saddens me to see how down hill Walnut Grill has gone. The food quality declined since COVID and the service is horrendous. Tonight was the third night we ordered take out and our order was WRONG. I specifically asked for no cheese and even said the last time we ordered no cheese, it was still put on the sandwich and we were disappointed. The girl that took my order ensured me she'd double check that there was no cheese, but guess what? THERE WAS. And they forgot the French dip. Also, I called three times to place my order and they put me on hold and kept forgetting about me, so I had to call back. I thought maybe they were just busy but when I went to go pick up the food there were only four tables seated in the restaurant! Literally no one who works here cares either. After tonight, my family is done with this place.

Came here for brunch and had a good experience. Service was good, a little slow considering the place was empty (although the Taste of Settlers Ridge). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got chocolate chip pancakes, veggie frittata, and the WG lil bite. Besides a little bit too much cheese on the frittata, the food tasted really good and portions sizes were good. Would want to come back to try their lunch dishes!

Farmer's Flatbread

Service was excellent. Waitress was attentive, and orders arrived fairly quick. Chicken pear flatbread was tasty. Bbq salmon Korean bowl was not the best -- too much rice and teriyaki sauce, mango pieces, not salsa. Didn't finish,

I had never heard of this restaurant so I checked it out on Yelp. Didn't have a high star rating but we decided to try it out anyway. The service considerably slow. The arrangement and ambiance of the restaurant were nice enough. With that said, i want to finish up with saying that the food was EXCELLENT! Would definitely go back.

My friends and I went here for dinner and drinks before going to the movies and had the best time! The restaurant is very well kept and looks beautiful, and our waitress was so nice. The food is a bit pricy, but it was so good and they have really nice specials as well! We went on Sunday and I was so happy to see that bloody Mary's were on of their special drinks for the day, $6. I LOVED the Bloody Mary! The chicken Cobb salad was also really good.

A great, more relaxing alternative than nearby First Watch and Deluca's. We hopped over to Walnut after we arrived to Deluca's at a 10am rush with a wait, and we were able to get into Walnut with ease. We sat at a wonderful open air section of the restaurant which was able to be enjoyed in the rain, as it has an overhang! Even though you're looking out at the parking lot, you do feel like you're perhaps on vacation out there. It's quite peaceful! We enjoyed the Crème Brûlée French Toast and the Eggs Benedict. We asked to substitute fresh fruit for breakfast potatoes that comes with the French Toast. We also ordered a side of bacon. We were unimpressed by the bacon. We overheard it's cooked in the oven and perhaps the bacon can be improved with griddle top cooking. The service was efficient and kind. We'll absolutely return for future breakfast outings!

We stopped before the movies for a drink and some apps. We sat at the bar, and the two bartenders were great and super friendly. We ordered the cauliflower and Buffalo chicken flatbread. The cauliflower was great. The flatbread had a great flavor but way too much cheese. My husband had a Bells Oberon beer, actually two, he said it was a wonderful and light drink. The only thing we thought negative was the flatbread was $19.00. We were actually happy with the beer being only $5.00.

Downey's House provided the local spot I needed. An ice cold Yuengling on draft went down very well, and while I didn't find pierogis on the menu, I settled for a phenomenal bowl of spaghetti & meatballs. Local marinara & meatballs made with the same recipe of the old Main Hotel that was in Carnegie for nearly 100 years. That bowl of pasta was SCRUMPTIOUS and just what I was after. I even talked my lovely wife into doing up her salad 'Pittsburgh style', which means adorning the salad with fries. And yes, it's as good as it sounds. Thrown in a protein like grilled chicken and that is a banger of a meal. Great dining area with a square-shaped bar and TVs with sight-lines in any direction. The service is friendly and helpful, and prices are probably lower than at some chain-y eatery that just makes your food via assembly line. It's local and sensational!

Not bad. Still edible. Later, when he asked about the manicotti & I said it was amazing, he asked if it was better than the soup. I said it was much much better and that I knew next time I visited I'd get the Caesar salad instead of the soup. He said he'd bring one to go, since their Caesar dressing is amazing. I said that wasn't necessary, but he brought one anyway. Wow. Portions are very large (without the extra salad, my manicotti would still be three meals for me) & the food is delicious. I like the look of the restaurant and was surprised to see that they had TV's & a bar. Much nicer than I expected given the location.

I finally just called right before they opened and the one that answer the phone, quite frankly, was incredibly rude. I explained that I was not from the area and where I was sitting and she barked "we don't really have a sign! Just park and walk around you'll find it."... when I try to explain to her that I'm in a walking cast could she just let me know which business she was closest to? She snapped back." we're only doing takeout today anyway." At that point, I figured if she was gonna be about as friendly as a rattlesnake then I was not going to give them my business. I have no clue what their food taste like, but their service is beyond awful.

We stopped before going to an event at the Roxian Theater. The place is big. they have a decent size bar. There's a darts game and some other games, outdoor covered patio, they also have a banquet room besides their main dining room. Our waitress was really sweet but service was slow. The menu is huge. Lots of options for all ages crowd, families and there were some vegetarian options as well. We ordered food to share. the calamari appetizer which tasted OK, but some of the pieces weren't cooked thoroughly so they were really rubbery. We also ordered the blackberry salmon which again was tasty, but the salmon was overcooked. And both of our side salads were drenched with dressing and must've sat in the back for at least 20 min. to the point the lettuce was soggy. I don't know if this was just an for the kitchen staff but food wise was not the best especially for a $45 bill!
