One of my new favorite mom and pop spots, food was delicious and their drinks are huge, this is one of those spots where you grab a menu and seat yourself. Our server was very friendly and helpful with food recommendations and the history of the diner. I have a weekend routine that has me in the general area of Nate's on either Saturday or Sunday. A few months back, I stopped at Nate's for the first time to grab breakfast with my son. He loved it; I loved it. We've tried several of the breakfast and lunch options. No matter what I've ordered, Nate's exceeds my expectations. It either lands on the table looking better than I anticipated or tasting better than I imagined. Oh yeah, when possible, I prefer family owned/ran restaurants. This place is definitely mom and pop. Great food for a great price! Interior needs some remodeling and some deep cleaning needs to happen, but otherwise food is fresh and delicious. This place appears to be family owned but the staff looks overworked and tired! Service wasn't bad, but it came across as the server was just going through the motions. Love finding mom and pop's like this! It was such a pleasure having breakfast here on a quiet Sunday morning. My brother and I both enjoyed omelettes on our visit--I got the bacon queso and it was ahhhmazing. Huge portions and the queso was wonderful. My brother was extremely happy with his steak omelette (can't remember the menu name for it) as well, and our waitress actually allowed us to substitute French toast (with a very small upcharge) for the plain toast that came with our orders. I went in thinking this was going to be fabulous because of the reviews. It was OK but 3 stars is pretty generous. My waiter had no personality whatsoever, barely even spoke, never gave his name. I ordered biscuits and gravy, over medium eggs and Breakfast potatoes. The biscuits were swimming in a very loose gravy, my eggs were well done and my potatoes had a strange after taste. My daughter ordered pancakes and bacon which she enjoyed but said was average. I feel like most of those things could have been overlooked but my main issue was with the cleanliness of the place. It really needs a good deep cleaning. I could see the grime under the appliances in the serving area and and my shoes basically stuck to the floor. Listen I love a good dive restaurant, don't care if it's in a strip mall, but cleanliness is a must. read more

Terrible service and long wait!! We've been here before and decided to treat the in-laws to breakfast . Mistake!! We literally waited over an hour while other tables were served. We said something to one of the younger staff members who had taken our order but I honestly think the order was never put in. Rather than expedite our order, the female waitress justified the long wait because she wasn't keeping track of which tables came in first/last. I'm not argumentative nor do I treat servers disrespectfully but I think anyone would be upset after waiting over an hour for some pancakes and scrambled eggs. No need to argue with us. There is simply no organization in that place and we regret not walking out. Be warned, don't go when there is more than a small group of tables unless you are prepared for the long wait!!! We were spoiled from having been frequent guests at Frank's Grill in Bear Creek, and we tried several others in our neighborhood, but none compared to Frank's. However, after trying Nate's, our search is over! Nate's is GREAT! We've only had breakfast, but everything we've ordered has exceeded our expectations. We order pick up, and we've been very well served. Freshly cooked, plentiful, deliciously seasoned food. We've tried their crepes, their chicken and waffles, their big breakfast, their French toast. The place is small and you might miss it but you would want to make sure you find it. The dining area is small but there's a good amount of seating, probably not great for huge parties. This place is family run and the staff is friendly and work really hard to make your meal experience a good one. The food is tasty and really hardy. The sleeper hit was the chicken bites.
