I love Nathans hot dogs, so when I saw this restaurant in Orlando "Old Town" I knew I had to have lunch there. So many options, their burgers looked tasty and the pictures their store, just makes you want to order everything on the menu. BUT, who would order a burger in a hot dog place, my son did, but he devoured his burger before I could take a picture, but he did say it was good. I ordered a chili dog with sauerkraut, and chili cheese fries. Man, it was good, I enjoyed every bite. You can either order via their cashiers or the 2 kiosks they have in the store. There is parking all around, but parking can be a bit difficult since the location seems to be popular due to the Amusement Park featuring old-time carnivals rides, shopping, and dining in that area. This location of Nathan's is located in the Old Town strip. It's a small place with about 5 tables inside and 2 outside. There are lots of places to eat in the area, all offer indoor and outdoor seating. We each had a hot dog, I had a chili cheese dog and my dad and daughter both had a sauerkraut dog w/ onions and a side of fries. The hot dogs are smaller and skinnier than I remember, but they hit the spot. The crinkle fries were hot and pretty good. The service was decent. First time trying out this restaurant. I made my order thru the machine they have by the counter. Once it was ready I picked up my order. The dining room was closed due that they were mopping the floors. So we ate outside. The burgers and the fries were delicious. I will definitely eat here again. read more

Tried this place since I had time to spare while waiting for someone. Unfortunately I can't say I'm a fan or suggest people eat here. Food was mediocre at best. Prices were a pretty ridiculous! Like beyond overpriced!! Honestly I'd say the McDonald's filet of fish is better tasting & quality than Nathens fish plate. Definitely bigger too, that's pretty sad!! So I ordered the fish & chips lunch/meal (no drink included) which came to a total of over $14.00 with tax. I was expecting a descent serving of fish pieces. Instead I got two triangle shaped halves that when put together are roughly the size of "ONE" McCrapols filet of fish, a touch bigger. I got extra fries instead of the slaw. Then I had already ate the two small hush puppies before I decided to take a photo. To be fair, I also ate 3 French fries as well. No matter you can see what this establishments gives you for a bit more than $14.00 total. Definitely save your money and go spend it elsewhere. Chilis is just a touch down the road, like walking distance basically. They will give you 4-5 times the amount of food with their 3 for me $10.99 value meals including a drink. They will also bring it to you curbside if you don't halve time to sit down and eat which then makes it as quick as a fast food drive through, with far superior quality, like not comparable and cheaper!! :) On a positive note, the employees were nice, accurate and prompt. That's the only reason I'm giving this establishment two stars instead of one. Sams club is a good place to go enjoy a Nathens dog if that's what you're after. $1.50 for a dog & drink. read more

Nathan's famous has finally made its way to tourist central. If you're a fan of the hot dog this is the place for you, however they do have other food items available Like chicken or burgers. They have one register and to self service kiosks so I decided to try out the key. We have always enjoyed a good Nathan's hot dog so I opted on purchasing 2, 1 for me and one for my mom and I or also ordered a 5 piece chicken wing with honey barbecue Sauce to save for my lunch The next day. When my order finally came up, Alexis was super friendly and made sure I had what I ordered before I headed out the door to take it home. When I arrived and Mom and I were able to indulge in our hot dogs, sadly I found them to be greasy. The buns were new a soft but the flavor of the dog was too much for me and so I gave the rest to mom to finish it. She also agreed they tasted greasy and Nathan's wont be a first choice in the future. The saving grace for me was the next day when I ate the wings. They were tasty and really quite enjoyable so if I am jonesing for wings, they would definitely be a stand by. Happy dining! read more

First time eating at a Nathan's restaurant and didn't have a clue on what to try. Paola who was the extremely helpful cashier that helped me that day recommended one of the chopped chicken & cheese. I took her word for it and loved it! The bread was nicely toasted the chicken was designed perfectly and fries were amazing and I don't even like crinkle cutt fries! 10/10. The service was fine and the surroundings were serviceable. The prices were reasonable. The takeaway is that we saw an old fashioned Nathan's, and it was worth it. I usually don't write reviews but this time I thought I should to prevent a family from having a horrible night we are having. We are a family of 5 on vacation from DC who went to this location at 8:30pm last night and it's 4:38am as I write this review. when we were driving back from the place after 20-30 minutes walk my 4 year old said she felt like throwing up and we opened the window and as we prepare to stop she said it's okay now she doesn't have to but as soon as she said that I felt the same too but I thought it was just the mention of it that made me feel like that. However I felt uncomfortable threw out the night and it finally made me run to the bathroom and threw up. Then at 4:30 I heard my four year old throw up on the bed. We had 4 orders and thought the 4 and 2 year old would share fried chicken strips but the 2 year old refused to eat the chicken and just ate the fries. since there was left over I ate about half a strip so I am guessing it's the chicken strip that messed us up although I had also shared some of the hot dog that was on my burger with my 4 and 7 year old but 7 year old hasn't complained or throw up yet. so people please stay away from this place, I just hope & pray it doesn't mess up the rest of our vacation. read more

Awful. The prices were ridiculously high for the food we got. Not even Disney chain food is this expensive. The taste of the food was highly mediocre, super greasy, and anything with sauce on a hotdog equated to them pour half a gallon on a puny dog n' bun. My "Half Chicken" was a whole piece of chicken dipped in BBQ sauce. You could not rip any of the piece's apart!!! It was that solid, not very practical for a "fast food" type chain. Lucky readers of Yelp I have returned from a self imposed break from such endeavors. Like many of you I wax nostalgic from time to time and was Uber excited to see that a staple from my youthful diet back in NY was coming close to where I live. I first heard that Nathan's was coming last July but decided to prudently wait until the humidity and tourists left before I ventured over to this tourist trap(old town). I was not a fan of the self ordering system as I prefer human interaction and I am a tad of a germaphobe. While it has been 20 years or so since I used to go to Coram and Hicksville and enjoyed playing in their arcades in between eating a few Nathan's Famous and especially the cheese fries I also buy the frozen ones at Publix. I was dismayed to first see from the comfort of my home after my excursion that the fries were sans cheese and even more perturbed to taste the sodium that overwhelmed the flavor of this Hot Dog. I did not terribly mind that the staff there apparently do not speak English. I remain hopeful that when my other staple of my childhood comes to town at the end of this year(think belly bombers) that it will remain true to the flavor of my past. read more

This place is not fun to well. They closed of a part of the restaurant for no reason so there were two tables. The service was bad too. We put our orders in and they had to ask us what we ordered. If there was a zero star option that would be the rating my experience got. About a week ago, I came to this restaurant with a friend and we both ordered some chicken tenders. Right off the bat the service was mediocre at best (The cashier didn't look me in the eye once). My friend and I sat down and waited for our food to be ready. The food arrived relatively quickly and I was rather hungry so i started eating with haste. Halfway through my third chicken tender i noticed the texture was not normal. I spit out what i had in my mouth and looked at the raw, wet, disgusting center of the strip. It was EXTREMELY UNDERCOOKED. Absolutely disgusted, I got up from my table, took the chicken to the serving counter (If not for the long line, I would have asked for my money back), and asked for assistance. When confronted I told them that my food was undercooked. Without a single word, the employee took the chicken basket from my hand, showed the cook in the back, and threw it in the trash. I watched as the cook made two more strips and they were put on my table. No apology, no refund, nothing. Absolutely nothing. I left the building and threw away the two free tenders outside, as not to offend anyone. Luckily, I did not get sick but the feeling i got when I bit into the undercooked, crunchy, wet strip still haunts me to this day. -A.P read more
