Chicken plate

Here's what you need to know. It's a nice cafeteria and it has a great view of the Parliament buildings. The food is quite good and the prices are reasonable. Average nine dollars per sandwich. The basic selections are sandwiches and a few plates. They also have a good salad bar and a couple of soups on the go as well as hotdogs, poutine and pizza. See pic of menu board. Calories are posted also. Our table had a salmon plate, a chicken plate, a club sandwich that we shared because it was so ample, a Philly cheese sandwich and finally, a veggie burger. All were very good. The ciabatta rolls were super duper fresh. If u want a beer though, that will be 8 dollars amigo!

Well you cannot beat the view outside the Ottawa river and above you this glorious glass ceiling. After a wonderful morning viewing the art, I really had to eat something before I could walk any more! I had the pricey Canadian cheese plate, it came in a lovely presentation With fresh and candied fruits and nuts and toasts. Along with a sparkling badoit it made a wonderful pick me up! I forgot to take a picture of the food but here is the ceiling!

Service was great, matcha latte good (for once I could get it without sweeteners), ambiance okay but the food not as tasty as it looked.

Great location in the great hall of the gallery with one of the best views of parliament. Simple but pricey menu.

The Short Version: Popular hipstery cafe that's co-located…read morewith a bicycle shop that sells bikes, bike accessories and fixes bikes. I found the decaf Americano had too sour an aftertaste for me, but the orange chocolate chip cookie was good. The Long Version: I've heard of the Ottawa Bike Cafe and have been meaning to try it for some time now and have finally gotten around to it. My husband and I were on one of our "food and drink weekend adventures" where we go to a bunch of places that are new-to-us and get a little something to share at each place. Like a food crawl, lol. Anyway the Ottawa Bike Cafe was one of our stops. We got a medium decaf Americano ($3.70) and an Orange Chocolate Chip Cookie ($4). My husband liked the coffee and he rated it 4/5. He's more of a coffee connoisseur than I am, so his assessment on coffee is likely more trustworthy than mine, lol. I found the coffee bitter with too much of a sour aftertaste, but I'm one of those people who like flavoured syrup in my coffee (whereas my husband thinks flavoured coffee is gross and drinks his coffee black. We got the coffee black by the way). I enjoyed the Orange Chocolate Chip Cookie, although I only had a few small bites as the hubby ate most of it, haha. I liked that the orange flavour was noticeable. It was a nice twist on the traditional chocolate chip cookie. It was a bit too buttery for my preference and a tad too crumbly, but otherwise a pretty good cookie. Service was pleasant. The place was packed. Decor and ambiance I would describe as hipster cool. If you like popular places that are bustling, this is the place to be. I personally like quieter places with fewer people (although sadly this usually means that places I like don't always stick around). Our visit was in March. I imagine that this place is even busier in the summer. It's on the stretch of Sparks Street that is pedestrian only, so great for people watching if you sit by the window or on the patio during the warmer months when they have outdoor seating. Street parking only. Review #54 (2026)

Overall: A // 5 stars…read more I love the duality of this establishment with a full on bike shop, but also paired with intriguing speciality drinks such at the Blueberry Matcha Latte I ordered. The contrastive intensity of flavors from the rich bluebbery to the earthy matcha works incredibly well as neither element was watered down and held its own. Very impressive drink, would recommend.
