The good news is we finally made it to South Lake Tahoe. So, all is well. The pool is indoors. It looks dated as the whole resort does. But it's still nice. The water is cool, but not cold like it is at the lake. They had a lifeguard on duty while we were here. The outdoor space is really run down. Someone also needs to work on the landscape as it's over run by weeds. The room is dated. We do like it for the size and location. It doesn't have an odd smell to it. It doesn't smell old or stale so that is good. It is a very good size room. The 2 queen option was cheaper then the king do we got it. The downside of the room is they don't have a loveseat or couch to sit and watch tv. They do have a single desk chair. The gym is good, we didn't use it, but it is a good size and many pieces of equipment. They even have a recumbent bike which my husband loves. They have one restaurant on site. A diner of sorts that serves all day long. Including bottomless mimosas for brunch, happy hour tacos, and a special $19.99 or approximately priced prime rib dinners. We've eaten there. Nothing special, but works. For us location really matters. We want to be close to the Heavenly village and South of North.

On top of that, they charge a $25 parking fee, an additional resort fee, and the casino slots felt extremely tight. To make matters worse, the elevator wasn't working, which made getting around the property even more frustrating. When you're already paying resort and parking fees, you expect better service, functioning facilities, and an overall experience that feels worth the money. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience here. Overall, very disappointing and not a place I would be in a hurry to return to.

I've given this place too many chances to redeem themselves but I always walk out of here irritated. They have an arcade on the second floor for kids. We ended up finding several machines that were broken so we got some free play out of it, which was fun. The arcade seems to be open 24/7 but redeeming rewards may be during limited hours. The spa was great! The gym area was also pretty good as well, many machines to use. They also have yoga mats to use, but my only critique is there is not much space to lay your yoga mat in without feeling like you're in someone's way. However, the gym was not very busy at all in the morning time when I went. In the gym, they had a water refill station, towels, and fruit offered. Remember to bring your hotel card because they will ask that it's scanned at the entrance. Service was friendly at the front desk at check in and check out. My cousins picked this location because they are members of a group who used this chain of hotels and casinos often. I personally am not attracted to gambling , so I don't frequent this type of hotel. As I said the rooms were nice, but this hotel caters to the gambling crowd. My cousins got their rooms on comp, because they gamble here so often and that is great, but if you are not a heavy gambler and you are not getting a free room I cannot recommend the Atlantis.

The shower was great and the water stayed super hot through both of our showers. The room was spacious and clean (though the floor could have been swept/mopped better imo). The first night we were there, someone got sick in the parking lot. I called the operator and explained the situation and asked if they had anyone to clean it up as it wasn't exactly what anyone wants to see and to my surprise they immediately sent someone out who was able to clean up that spot! Thank you!! The casino is small, but had some good games. Overall, I'd stay here again.
