Pool is nice, needed a cleaning after the hella windy day blew debris in it nonstop. Life guards were attentive. Spa level had the kids arcade, bowling alley, shops and white rabbit theatre. So much to do. Housekeeping was very short staffed, our room wasn't able to be cleaned daily, needed to call for towels etc. Valet is busy as hell too. Takes 10-15 minutes to drop your car and 20-30 to get it back.

To their credit, they arranged accommodations at another hotel, although it was not comparable to the one we had reserved. Wanting to give them another opportunity, we booked another stay this year. Unfortunately, the experience was even more disappointing. Our check-in was delayed until 5:00 p.m. because the room was not ready, despite the advertised 4:00 p.m. check-in time. Once we entered the room, we discovered the air conditioning was not functioning properly and the desk lamp was broken. We called for assistance at approximately 5:30 p.m. and again at 8:30 p.m. after no one responded. Someone finally arrived around 11:00 p.m., after we had already gone to bed. The lamp was replaced, but the air conditioning was never addressed during that visit. The following morning, we discovered the bathroom floor was soaked due to a leaking toilet. Maintenance confirmed the issue, placed towels on the floor, and returned later to repair it. During that visit, they were also able to fix the air conditioning. Later that morning, we found that one of the mugs in our room had not been properly cleaned. While this would normally be a minor issue, it became part of a pattern of poor housekeeping and maintenance. When we returned to our room that evening, we found another leak--this time water was coming from the ceiling. To make matters worse, my friend discovered blood stains on her comforter that had been concealed beneath the sheet. When we reported these issues to the front desk, there appeared to be no record of our previous maintenance requests or completed service calls, which was extremely concerning. A manager later offered us a $100 dining credit. While I appreciate the acknowledgment, I do not believe it adequately reflected the extent of the problems we encountered throughout our stay. Grand Sierra positions itself as one of Reno's premier hotels, and with that reputation comes an expectation of quality, cleanliness, and responsive service. Unfortunately, our experience fell well below those expectations. I hope management takes these concerns seriously because guests should not experience repeated maintenance failures, cleanliness issues, and communication breakdowns during what is supposed to be a relaxing stay.

Slots are horrible, Keno never hits, not sure about video poker but I'd be willing to bet (with a much better chance at winning than if I were to bet anything here) that the poker is garbage too. Standard service, not anything to write home about. This is clearly a hang out spot for people that are already poor and Baldinis makes good and sure they stay that way. You know how you walk in a casino and hear or see lots of people hitting jackpots? Not this place. Just people chain smoking to calm their anxiety of getting robbed once again by the infamous Baldinis. Terrible casino. They will try and hook you with promotions but they are only to get you to show up and feel like you have a chance at winning something but you will indeed win nothing so save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. Of all the Casinos in Reno/Sparks the places that hit the hardest have proven time and again to be Sierra Sid's (right down the street on McCarran) and Peppermill. I've given this place too many chances to redeem themselves but I always walk out of here irritated. They don't even give you small wins on any of the machines to break you in at even or slightly above. Every machine is the same thing: win slightly less than you're betting to chase a dragon that does not exist. Food is notably priced but again that's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. As a Casino this place is more than deserving of a full Zero Stars.

The walk from the parking lot to the hotel lobby is a lovely thing. It's not a two mile jaunt like other hotels. The parking garage can fill up fast, we were lucky to find a parking place right up front. With the vehicle all cozy and safe, it's time to check in. Make sure and have a reservation for best results. The check in process is a breeze too. You will have the choice of check in either with the machine kiosk or a live person; but those kiosks are nice when the line is out the door. Room keys in hand it's time to relax. The Silver Legacy was opened in Reno in the middle of the 1990s, it was a hotel introduced to be a higher class than other options for individuals to stay. It seems to be built to mirror the vibes of the Emerald City. Come and seek your fortune and make your mark. It was given the go ahead with an official gaming license in July of 1995. This hotel has undergone many renovations and for its age is spectacular in maintenance and beauty. Two famous movies have even been filmed here: " Waking Up In Reno," and "King Pin." The building adds height to the Reno skyline with it towering over 42 stories high, and being the largest in Reno. The lighting in the Silver Legacy will turn from green to blue to support the local Reno "wolf pack." All around Reno is a rich and lovely history of the past, the front awnings are a blast from the past. The entrance ways in and out of the Silver Legacy date back to 1895, you as go to and from admire the beauty of the past. Now that we are all unpacked it's time to check out this new amazing place. We came to see the best of the best new bands! Love begins anew, now let's see what's new about this place

Our room had 2-yippee. It makes sense 2 people in a room 2 sets of luggage!! The king bed was comfy and had plenty of pillows. I was told we could only use them Sunday thru Thursday. Kind of peculiar that they are limited.

Basically our room was two rooms that have been converted into a suite that has a kitchen, little dining island, living room, and a separate bedroom and bathroom. It has two doors to enter, so a little weird but honestly, super practical. The rooms were very quiet and I couldn't hear any noise from any neighbors. The shower was great and the water stayed super hot through both of our showers. The room was spacious and clean (though the floor could have been swept/mopped better imo). The first night we were there, someone got sick in the parking lot. I called the operator and explained the situation and asked if they had anyone to clean it up as it wasn't exactly what anyone wants to see and to my surprise they immediately sent someone out who was able to clean up that spot! Thank you!! The casino is small, but had some good games. Overall, I'd stay here again.

We have stayed in the hotel a couple times as well. We're pretty satisfied with both areas. This time we're staying in the motor lodge section of CVI. It's ok. Not our favorite. The room needs a lot of updating. It's a little dingy in some areas and it's not as clean as we expected it to be. Curtains have hooks missing and signs of stains. Bathroom rusting in some spots and exhaust fan cover just hanging to dear life. It's a nice location and it's walking distance to a lot of places. Oh also, the walls are super thin. We can hear our neighbors talking clearly. It's like they're just in our bathroom at 1 point their conversation was so clear. This motor lodge had a lot of potential so please please CVI management please consider updating and give the rooms some attention. It's going to be really bad in a couple of months if it's not attended to asap. Love love love CVI. Staff is 110% helpful and kind!!! Save the motor lodge. Do t let it be an afterthought
