These people are SAVIORS. After finally making it home after a 18 hour long car drive with my Mom (my house guest for the next two weeks) her dog some how got injured and bled ALL OVER all my less than 2 years old carpets. Immediately I started trying to clean it up, but 1. It's blood (so hard to get out) and 2. It was 11 pm and I was exhausted 3. It was seriously everywhere. Upstairs, downstairs, EVERYWHERE! In the morning I called National Multi Steam and low behold someone answered. I was not in the best mood and started to explain what had happened. He told me very honestly that there was only a 50% chance of getting the blood stains up. To be honest, normally I wouldn't go with those odds, but I just felt so defeated and new carpeting would have been upwards of $6,000 so I thought "what the heck". National Multi Steam arrived at my house two hours later!! What other carpet cleaning company, or any company for that matter will see you hours after you call? Now for the best part: My carpets look brand new! There is not a trace of the blood stains ANYWHERE. Not even on the stairs (that I though might be hard to get out because of the angle they are at), in fact, I didn't realize how dirty my carpets were, even minus the blood stains. After having used several carpet cleaning services over the past five years, I finally was given Alfonso Torrez's contact information. After the Napa earthquake 3 weeks ago, another company tried to remove wine stain breakage (3 tries), without stellar results. Charged me a fortune for that one small area. Alfonso cleaned the entire house, did an amazing, thorough job (better than any I have had before), and charged me LESS than the other company did last week for one spot. There is nothing that I can say other than: Flipping amazing! First the people. They are wonderful caring folks who want you to be ecstatic, surprised, grateful, and ask them to become "family". I have never encountered such genuine warmth from service technicians (oh, it felt horrible to type that word, they deserve far more affectionate wording. Technicians, yes -- but is as if they were your cousins who happen to own a cleaning business. Second the responsiveness. Managed to squeeze us in the same afternoon, I was nothing short of amazed that they were so prompt, timely, well prepared, no BS. No excuses, just superior caring. Third the cleaning. EVERYTHING PERFECT. Nasty carpet where two older cats resides become better than new -- seriously, it was not this clean when originally installed. Their huge machine stays in the truck while hoses are carefully brought into your home. They even have corner guards to protect your home's walls. Fourth the price. When I first called and spoke with Alfonso I was specific and let him know I had concerns about pet stains/odors in the carpet in the new home we purchased. He said he could take care of them no problem. I asked if he used a fluorescent light to detect highly soiled areas for special treatment and he assured me that not only was that unnecessary but that the light would pick up any previous treatment/cleaning sellers had attempted in the past so it was worthless. He told me the hot steam extraction method would sanitize, remove odor and kill any possible fleas. The carpet was in good shape to start off with the exception of some stains and pet odor throughout. I also specifically asked about stain guarantee and possibility of stains resurfacing days after cleaning. He said once he treated stains they were gone permanently but if we had concerns we could call him and he would come right back out free of charge. The evening after Alfonso and his team steamed our carpet the house seemed to smell of wet dog as if the cleaning released additional odor that was trapped within/beneath the carpet. The next morning I went to look at the stains I had concerns about and they looked as bad as before national came out. (Photos attached) Being 8 1/2 mo pregnant with a two year old I was very hesitant to set up his crib in a cat urine soaked room so my husband and I contacted a company who specializes in animal odor extraction who recommended we do our own black light test which we did. My rooms lit up in obvious urine stain patterns in yellow/green light which we were told "untreated urine stains" would glow. Granted we did not have a professional grade fluorescent black light but it was 24" like the other company instructed us to get. My husband called Alfonso a couple days later to let him know about the visible stains that did not come up. Alfonso responded that there were no stains upstairs to begin with. When my husband insisted and mentioned we had date/time stamped photos for day after national came out Alfonso agreed to come back. I think National could be good for a general cleaning but should be up front if they can't provide a special service required or say it's not necessary/possible when in fact it is. read more

I read the reviews and decided to go with National Multi Steam....A little history about the carpets in my house...we moved back about 5.5 years ago and before we moved back the house had been a rental for 30 years. When we moved in the carpets were in fair condition but had not been cleaned before our move in. Being the fool that I now know I am, I went and rented the rug doctor machine because I thought I would save some money. Now I realize that I did not know what I was doing. Those machines were just spraying chemicals into my carpet that gave it a nice smell for awhile but ultimately just made the stains come back even worse because the chemical residue would attract the dirt like a sponge.. We entertain a lot and during the parties there are occasional wine and food accidents. Each time I used the Rug Dr. the dark spots would get a little lighter but would come back with a vengeance after a week or so..... Using a rug doctor just makes your carpets need more cleaning, making more business for rug doctor.. you add hot water to their machines and also their chemistry, and you would think that this would clean the carpets but that is incorrect, steam is the key..... they do not have the ability to produce the hot steam that is needed so it is just making it worse.. Alfonso and his wife showed up to my house 3 minutes early and greeted me with a smile and a nice firm handshake. They went in and looked at the carpet, told me what they were going to do and started to work. We sat on the front porch with our laptops while they worked. It took them about 1 hour to do our grand room, dining room, family room, hallway and two of the three bedrooms. The fee was only $122. When I went back into the house for the inspection I could not believe what they had done....all of the stains and RED wine stains were gone! The carpet looked amazing and my thoughts of having to get new carpet flew out the door. I felt the price was very fair and the service was way more than I expected, they were excellent and I will refer them to all my friends and family.
