Came in after dinner at LBC for a treat. Picked up the cookies and cream Carmel Apple and two pieces of toffee- one dark and one light. They were devoured on the way home and very much so enjoyed by the three of us. I didn't get to snap pics but will try on our next visit. They are a cute little shop in downtown Lodi. They are a bit pricey but it is pretty quality chocolate. Last night, all the Christmas chocolates were buy one get one half off. Okay, this store caught my eye with all the goodies by the window. I assume it's a shop that specializes in chocolate, but let me tell you, the caramel apples got my attention. I love the creativity and variety of caramel apples they have. They even offer to slice for you so it's shareable and easier to eat. It was the best caramel apple I ever tasted. And the crazy thing is that it was still good the 2nd day. I expected the apple to go bad, but it was still fresh tasting. I highly recommend that people don't sleep on the caramel apples. read more

I've been looking all over for the Dubai Chocolate bar. I was walking by and seen something though the window that looked like it. I went in and browsed a bit and noticed a Dubai candy apple. I was going to get that when I asked about the bar. They had them!!! So I got that instead of the Apple. I will for sure try that next time. I like the thickness of the bar. The inside was creamy and crunchy. It's a yummy bar. I will be back for another soon... fyi it's $15 per bar read more

Was in downtown lodi a few days ago and decided to stop by to give my friends a tour of downtown who were coming feom out of state. I always love coming here because they have the best rocky road fudge & also the staff are always super friendly. They have an assortment of fudge, carmel apples, toffees, chocolate bars, and hand picked chocolates that you can add to box for any to go order. My friends are a hige fan of carmel apples & i loved how this time they had carmel apples inspired by candy bars. Some were snickers, m&ms... everything looked so good. Definitely a must try if you're in town & highly recommend the rocky road fudge. read more

Easy to find. Plenty of parking for 90 minutes. Service is fast and very friendly. Ambiance is warm and welcoming. Quiet If you're the only one inside the store. Traffic was on the slower side when I went. Chocolates were delicious but very pricy for what you actually get. Overall, worth it for something small when you're in the area. read more

All the chocolates are hands down excellent. What makes Rocky Mountain fun to visit is the chocolate covered apples. The large display of various flavored milk and dark chocolate apples are amazing to view and to eat. I got a salted caramel apple in milk chocolate. I'm very disappointed as the Apple is fizzy/carbonated. The caramel doesn't taste like caramel and the milk chocolate doesn't taste like chocolate. My guess is it has been sitting out in the open for weeks and the flavor of the chocolate has dissipated. All I could taste as salt. If you're paying with card, you'll be prompted to tip. read more

Food: There's a great variety of chocolates here that I haven't seen at most other chocolate shops. I got a milk chocolate covered strawberry, lemon toffee, and English toffee. All of them were delicious which is not always the case with fancy chocolate shops. It seems like most chocolate shops put more effort into making pretty shiny chocolate and don't really care what it tastes like. Staff: The girl working the counter was a bit of an idiot. She started by asking if we already new what we wanted as we walked through the door. Terrible customer service! I can't believe the employee was upset and rude to actually be asked to do her job. The girl even rolled her eyes when asked at 8:59 on a Friday night if we could buy an apple for my granddaughter on her birthday. Not real happy with how I was treated at this location. My family of 4 drove down here from Elk Grove as a treat for one of my daughters who just completed a round of chemo a few weeks prior and was feeling better. She wanted to come to Rocky Mountain. We came to the entrance door and I specifically looked for any signage that specified any covid conditions/rules. I saw nothing overtly visible. The only sign I saw was one that said "enter" on the front door. There was only a party of two people inside and we were all wearing masks so we attempted to walk in. As we entered, we were promptly barked at by an employee not to come in. They were only allowing one party in at a time. I thought it was very rude. Here's my issue...I'm very respectful & understanding of a company's rules during this time. But after being in this pandemic for 7 months, this business should have their act together when dealing with customers and the rules they would like them to adhere to. There was no signage stating their rules posted that I saw. They had no employee at the door controlling entry. They had no area outside the door cordoned off to indicate they want people to wait like other businesses are doing. There was just a sign that said enter on the door inviting us in and then a rude employee telling to essentially get the heck out once we entered. Not a nice way to treat those attempting to patronize your business. I'm huge on customer service and don't tolerate being treated poorly. We promptly left and drove up to Sacramento to another chocolate shop we'd read about and were treated respectfully, so we spent our money there. read more

Before Lunch, I needed some appetizers.... Individual Truffles (*** $2.50 x 3) Truffles, about an inch and a half wide, today were NOT fresh. Seemed that going by the texture and color that each Truffle was more than a couple of days old. Flavor, despite that though, was very good. Conversed with the owner, who was the counter-person this morning, about the Economy. Surprised that this year, including the past two years, will be her most profitable year. This surprised me... I would think that Chocolates are an impulse and discretionary purchase... definitely not a necessity. Also found out that a Pound of Chocolates will set you back $19.75... OUCH!!! How do you walk by this store with the displays of candied apples and chocolates and keep walking? When you walk in to the smell of chocolate, you just want to try everything. The white chocolate covered strawberry is to die for. The strawberry was still juicy and tasted fresh. I like that they will cut the candied apples for you so you don't lose a tooth biting into it. Such a cute little shop with heavenly treats! I always stop by this shop while visiting Knowlton Gallery. People who work here are always so nice and never hesitate to recommend what they like in the shop. They also pre-cut the apples into wedges. I usually get the Apple Pie Apple, which is large Granny Smith apple with a thick coat of caramel, dipped in sweet white confection and then, rolled in brown sugar and cinnamon. Sometimes I will get the Cheesecake Apple or the English Toffee Apple. They all taste delicious and fresh!
