I took my car in to get an oil change for my Subaru and was greeted and assisted by great customer service. As a female, I have been taken advantaged of by other places. At one place they made all these changes to my car in addition to getting my oil change when I just went in for an oil change and wanted to charge me $500 instead of the $30 I was expected to pay. At this spot, Jay gave me a call after my oil change was done with other recommendations of what they recommended should also be done. He also gave me a breakdown of the cost and got my approval before doing the additional recommended service. TL;DR: honored the quoted price Called a few days ago to get a quote for a replacement job; since I had the parts already, the guy quoted me $120 for the labor. Came in and apparently there was a bit of confusion. I guess the guy on the phone didn't understand the full extent of the replacement because, when I came in to get it done, a different individual at the desk said it'd be much more. I was fully prepared to walk away, but he (forgot his name, started with a "J") honored the quoted price. After it was all said and done, he even knocked it down to $100! My driver's side mirror was knocked off in a minor collision on a Friday evening. This was the only place nearby open on a Saturday and the car wasn't safe to drive without a mirror, so the owner Lee told me over the phone to bring it in and he'd take a look. I had been on the fence about using insurance to fix the car, but he let me know the approximate cost to replace just the mirror. Taking it to a body shop and using insurance would be the way to go. He didn't have the parts to permanently remount the mirror but found some electrical tape to reattach it temporarily, at least making it safe to drive until I can get it to a body shop. No charge--he was just being a kind neighbor to a super stressed-out lady. Thank you Lee!! I will bring my car here for future work. read more

Seemed decent on first few visits but after waiting months for my car and bringing it back 3 times, I realized they were just too busy and pre-occupied to provide any level of good service. Very 'it is what it is' attitude and extremely bad at giving updates. On my last visit, my car sat for 3.5 weeks. Each time I called I was told a part was on its way and it would be a couple more days when I called. Finally, they called and said I had to take it somewhere else because they don't do the repairs my check engine light was throwing. All they wanted to know was when I could go get my car. More importantly, any auto repair shop needs to feel trustworthy and honest. This place will leave you skeptical. Maybe it is just a consequence of taking too many customers. Really impressed with this place! It's just honest work how the auto industry should be. They do a great job of showing you problems that need repairing instead of just showing you a sheet of paper and expecting you to take their word for it (AKA how dealerships make a ton of money). The guy at the front was super friendly unlike most times I go to any kind of auto technician or dealership, they're typically rough around the edges. It took less than 30 minutes to do my oil change and instead of, get this, trying to make every penny they can off of me they told me to hold off on a lot of work so that I could save money. On top of it all they spotted a transmission leak and just tightened up the bolt and topped the fluid for free! They could've easily charged me 100$+ for that. UPDATE: These Guys Are LIARS! I confirmed from an honest mechanic that the parts Natomas Auto Care (David) told me I needed are parts I in fact DON'T need! My advice? RUN!!!! See my orig. review below: Brought my car in based off a recommendation from a friend. Every time I bring my car here, when I pick it up something else goes wrong or starts to fail. I've read a few of the other one star reviews & this seems to be the trend here. This David guy plays the role, but I think these guys are possibly scamming people out of their money. They need to be investigated. I'm taking my car somewhere else, so I will update this review to let you know if what I find coincides with what Natomas Auto Care is telling me. My starter went out and they quoted a price for the part that was almost triple the actual cost. When I asked about it, they stated their supplier charged one rate when the actual rate was about $50 less (thankfully I did my homework). They quoted about $350 for the whole thing to be done, but I ended up buying the parts and doing it myself for less than $100. Seriously, do your homework. I live in Elk Grove but work in Natomas,and so the daily commute started taking a toll on my car. The mechanic I usually take my car to is all the way in South Sacramento, too far for me to go to during lunch. In Natomas, auto shops are a dime a dozen. Last week, I needed an oil change and took a gamble on going to Natomas Auto Care, with my fingers crossed, I hoped they could perform the task. Le and his crew at NAC are top notch and professional. End of discussion. Immediately when I walked in their store, I was greeted by him and a mechanic who happened to be in the lobby. He was assisting a customer, but still took a quick second the acknowledge me. Now if you know anything about repair shops, most of the time they try to nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. I remained stern and strong and told him all I needed was an oil change, nothing more, nothing less. He happily obliged. As I waited for my oil change to be performed, there were other customers coming and going, Le clearly cares about his customers and their needs, knowing most of them by first name. This put me at ease, maybe these guys were REALLY good if they were having repeat customers. As I became more comfortable, I decided to ask if he could check out a couple problems and noises I've been noticing, with no hesitation they were happy to agree. Turns out I needed a tune up and he made recommendations for a few other things I should address in the coming months. No pressure to make the sale from him. If you're in Natomas or even if you're not, the crew at NAC knows their stuff. Their prices are competitive and their quality of service is superior. They don't recommend frivolous repairs just to make a quick buck. It's clear they make the right calls to keep you coming back. Needless to say, they have officially earned my loyalty. Took my car in here to get an oil change. Staff was very friendly, direct and to the point. Car was serviced in about exactly an hour. I don't know if I will be coming back, nothing was notated on my car(If I needed anything else, or if they had done anything extra.) A little interaction with someone after the car was completed would have been nice. I came in for a basic oil change for the first time, and was not disappointed at all. I was greeted with a smile, and felt like I was their regular customer right away. What made me happy is that no one was trying to sell me anything extra, what a lot of places do these days. Suggestions are totally different, if you know what I mean, but not extra sales that make you feel you're gonna get into a car accident if you don't buy that air filter. Sales person was not trying to make more money on me, knowing all I needed was an oil change. I will come back again, and will recommend this place to many. I took my car in for a tune up. Five days later it broke down on the Bay Bridge in San Francisco due to the tune up being done incorrectly at Natomas Auto Care. I was stranded in San Francisco, had to pay a different shop $477.00 to repair the damage cause by Natomas Auto Care, and rent a car to travel 90 miles to pick up the car. I went into NAC requesting that they pay for the damage they did to my car. Natomas Auto Care refused to pay for it even though the mechanic who had repaired the damage stated that the tune up had caused damage to my vehicle. Do not take your car here. A simple tune up left me stranded and cost $477 to repair the damage done by Natomas Auto Care. read more

I've never had my car *serviced* here but did bring my Honda CRV in to get an AC recharge. They don't work on ACs (just do the re-charging) but since my AC was jacked I would take my chances to see if the re-charge worked. Le, the manager/owner, had his workers look at the AC first before doing the service to make sure it wasn't something more serious. They checked the fuses, relays, etc. and said that it most likely was a bad compressor. ($$$). they don't work on ACs but the fact that they took this time and didn't charge me a penny was very impressive (they could have charged for diagnosing issue as they looked at it for 45 minutes). I'm always looking for an HONEST mechanic, and I finally found one! I plan on taking my car here for future services!!! read more

This a really good, trustworthy place to go and get your car fixed. My bf had his 'Check Engine' light on and we had been to 2 repair shops before this one (in Utah and Illinois... we travel a lot) to get it diagnosed and fixed. Each time, after spending a considerable amount of money ($1400 at the Illinois garage), the light came back on again within a few hours of driving. We were almost sure it was an unsolvable issue, (started planning to sell the car off) but nevertheless gave it one last shot by getting it checked at Natomas Auto Care. They did the diagnosis and fixed it for a total of around $150 and we haven't seen the lights come back on again in the last 6 months. I have also got my car battery, and air filter replaced here, and come regularly for oil change. Their service is simply great every time. They are completely genuine with the questions they ask and with any recommendations they make. At one time, the string that attaches the gas cap to my car had snapped while I was filling gas. When I went for an oil change at Natomas Auto Care they fixed it for me and didn't even tell me about it. It was a nice surprise when I went to fill gas the next time and noticed it :). Came in about 3:45 (they close at 6pm on weekdays) on a Monday, as my AC felt like it wasn't working right. Once I got in, I told one of the mechanics what the problem was and they looked at my car right away. After looking at my car, they stated there was some type of leak and provided me a breakdown of the costs involved. Prices were decent, so I said to go ahead with the service. Around 5:40pm, they were done and I was out the door. All the staff here were really nice and knowledgeable. I will definitely come here again versus coming to the BMW dealership. read more

I would definitely recommend Natomas Auto Care to anyone who who is looking to have some work done on their vehicle. They are open on Satudays something that a lot of places don't do. The only thing is that Yelp says they open at 9:00 am, they actually open at 8:00 am. David and the other employees were very helpful and knowledge about what needed to be done to get my vehicle back on the road. They even offered to give me a ride while they worked on it but I decided to wait. And it payed off because they finished the job very quickly and for much less than other places had quoted me. I've only been here once but never have I wanted to review an auto shop. I've had my share of unfortunate shop stories from bringing in my old beat up car and even with my new car, shops have tried to sell me unnecessary services at marked up prices (I mean, $40 to change the cabin air filter?). I got my oil changed here and they were professional, quick, and courteous. I even mentioned that I am up for routine maintenance and might need some fluids flushed. They checked it and told me everything looked fine and I didn't need to do it. I've never been to a shop where they didn't try to sell me an additional service and it's kind of refreshing! The mechanic even mentioned that hopefully the last shop that did my oil change made a typo on the service sticker otherwise they were using the wrong oil-- that other shop would be the dealership (and I won't go down the road about how I feel about dealership service centers). Long story short, I'm happy to have a local shop I feel I can trust. I'll definitely be back for all my regular maintenance. read more

I've been to this shop for oil changes as well as more extensive work in the past (they replaced my AC compressor and window motor). Today my car engine wouldn't start. I eventually got the car to start and Natomas Auto Care quickly verified that my battery needed to be replaced. They didn't charge me at all and got me out of there in less than 10 minutes. I brought my Kia in because it was having trouble starting. I didn't think it was the battery because it always started, it just would take me 15 minutes or so to actually do so. I was told it'd be $55 for a diagnostic, so I took it in. After waiting about 20 minutes, I was told that the diagnostic was complete and that it was in fact the battery. They were kind enough to waive the diagnostic fee for me, which they didn't have to do but could have to make a quick buck, so I am very appreciative. I think I would bring my car back here for any future issues it were to have. I didn't actually get any work done, obviously, so I can't speak to the quality of their work, but my experience was pleasant and should I have any work done I will review that. read more
