He is a great cook and is such a nice person, we always have stuff to chat about when we go in there. Very small location next to McCarthy's bar off of S. Upper. The food here in unbelievable. Philly cheese steak comes with queso and is fantastic. I have been a regular for this place and loved their food. However, for my recent visit, I saw them cooking with no gloves on. And the new cashier guy would go grab the ingredients and put it in the cooking pot right after he held money. And the female chef was eating out of the pot of soup that she was cooking for the customers. I was pretty grossed out. But luckly, I didn't see them do that with my food. But when I got home, I was so disappointed with my food. Because the portions got cut down for both of my orders. The portion was only 2/3 of what it used to be. read more

We went here because of the great Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! We checked out the Facebook page as previously recommended to find the daily specials. The Kobe beef and pickled bamboo special was phenomenal and the yellow curry was delicious, though sweeter than I expected. The prices seemed very reasonable too. As previously mentioned, there is no seating here as this is a little hole in the wall place, so we ordered and had it delivered to the Irish bar next door. This made for such a fun night! The other good Thai place in town "Planet Thai" may have more variety on the menu than Nat's but the dishes we got here tasted so much more unique. We will be back! read more

Great food! I've been twice already. I had the basil beef and cheesesteak. Both were great and the spices are incredible. I love that you can get traditional Thai food along with cheesesteaks, burgers and wings. The prices are very reasonable. I think this might be my favorite Thai food in town. So good! There is no large sign on the side of a building, but it's easy to find because it's right next door to the little Irish store and McCarthy's on Upper and Vine. There are specials each day and though there are no seats in Nat's, you can sit in McCarthy's. What makes Thai food even better - a pint of Guinness of course! He also has a bar menu with basic American bar food. (I'm sure it's good too, but I've never tried it.) read more

Incredibly delicious Thai food that is as aunthentic as you can get. Nat, the owner has a daily special from different regions of Thailand that changes every day bringing you dishes you can't find at any other Thai restaurants in Lexington. Parking can be a little difficult, but it's practically the same for any place downtown. There isn't any actual seating, but McCarthys next door has indoor and patio seating and the food will be delivered to you there if you choose to dine. Be careful if you ask for hot or Thai hot. Nat's is a Thai carry-out place on Upper Street next door to McCarthy's, across from the Big Dig. But boy, from a humble storefront, Nat himself produces great things. In fact, it's the best-executed, most-complex Thai food I've had in Lexington. Before I get to the food, I want to point out that although Nat's is strictly carry-out, there are options: unless you want to take the food home with you, you can order at Nat's window -- and that's about all it is, a window -- step next door to McCarthy's Irish Bar, and be served your Nat's meal there. That sounds like a lot of moving parts, but it's really not -- Nat will carry your food over and deliver your plated meal to your table. Later, he'll return so you can pay, and he might even hang around to talk about his food for a bit. He says he cooks dishes from all over Thailand, many of which you've never seen on a Thai menu in Lexington. And he has a special every day, which might amount to up to 200 different specials a year. Our food was spectacular -- my pad thai was tucked into it's own omelette! Maybe I should have ordered something more unusual, but the omelette got me. And I'm not at all sorry, really. Somebody else got a sauteed filet of white fish, with sliced green papaya and curry sauce -- it was not only delicious, but beautiful in its presentation, a $30 plate in a fancy joint. There is no seating inside the place but the bar next door is pretty nice about letting you sit there and the chef will deliver your food to you if you tell them where you are seated. The yellow curry was soooo good! I've bee looking for a curry like this one, sweet, with a little spice. Excellent quality! My friend had the pad thai, which I tasted and it was delicious also. The place is so tiny that 3 people can barely fit in the lobby, and the selections are fairly limited. But we sat at McCarthy's to eat, which was empty at lunchtime, and they came over from the restaurant through a back hallway, to wait on us. I must say I was very interested in Nat's as a friend told me it was good. I ordered the special today - green curry w/ chicken. The first bite was savory, intense flavor with some heat. As I took a few more bites, i realized the chicken was all back meat with bits of bone and some weird unidentifiable dark meat parts (it was all dark meat), including a chunk of fat with skin. Absolutely delicious meal here. Once you find it (it's to the right of the Irish store - you walk in a joint door then go to the righg), you'll be so glad you did. I got the daily special, which was fried pork belly with basil. The food was fresh, cooked well, and packed crazy flavor. It tasted authentic in a way other Thai restaurants in town don't. The only downside is that you have to take it to go - there's no place to eat inside due to lack of space. This is authentic Thai food! If you are looking for real Thai food this is the only place in Lexington. I've been to Thailand so I know authentic Thai food and had always wished the other restaurants here would be authentic, but they aren't even close. The prices are great and food is amazing! I've had Thai food in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles and most other major metropolitan areas in the U.S. but Nat is the best! Lexingtonians are lucky to have him here. His ingredients of herb, spices and farm fresh vegetables combine to produce amazingly authentic Thai dishes. You can't go wrong with any of his creative daily specials. I suggest you try Fish in the Herb Garden then on Thursdays order the Papaya Salad (Som Tum) which his fiancé comes to help prepare because of the busy weekend business.
