If Japanese food was fast it would be jpetal. Their Poke bowls are just awesome in flavor and spice. They spicy poke bowl has a balance of sweet, salty, umami, and spicy. Mixed with rice it just becomes a good flavor bowl of satisfaction. Keep on rocking the bowls! The Bobatea are just perfect as well. I couldn't be happier that they opened back up after COVID! Staff is incredibly nice and accommodating. Crepes are made with rice flour so if your gluten free, this is your place. Shrimp and Steak are my favorite here and they look just like they do on their website or the models they have in the restaurant. Poke is hands down the best around and the best price. I discovered J petal through a local TikToker after being enticed by the crepes and light bulb drinks. The shop itself is really spacious, lots of seating and space to dine in and hang out for a bit. I grabbed the Thai tea with lychee lightbulb drink and shared the Tokyo Sakura crepe. The Thai tea was not too sweet, and the lychee jelly definitely made the drink so much better. I think it would work well if regular tapioca pearls were added as well. The Tokyo Sakura crepe was a good dessert to share, very filling, and had a good amount of each ingredient added to it -- the pistachio macaron was also delicious. And if you need the bathroom urgently, it's P-Petal. J Petal is a curious franchise in that it's unlike most others, focusing on lightbulb drinks, ice creams, and especially crepes (Japanese stule). The interesting light bulb drinks are complemented by some good rolled ice cream and some other products such as excellent dessert Crepes. If you find some cool gadgets in here, they're from Q-Petal. And if someone tells you that you aren't petal, believe me, you R-Petal. And according to Mexicans, the best dessert place in Harrisonburg "Es Petal." This is one of my favourite locations along with the best one in Harrisonburg. On the other hand you have some pretty bad locations like the one in Cincinnati. Or the ones in Florida. This one is magical, I just wish they were a little busy because they deserve to be. Then expanded randomly to Harrisonburg VA and now is popping up all over. Some locations aren't great, others are amazing - this is one of the amazing ones. The original location is in Brooklyn, and so it has to have a high standard. Not sure how Providence got so lucky but yay! And if you're a Republican, skip it and go to W-Petal. And watch out for my crazy X-Petal. The drinks are really good as well - but the real strength lies in the wild and imaginative, fruity, delicious crepes and desserts. I will definitely be visiting here, as it's now a go-to destination when in Providence, especially if I'm in the East burbs near Fall River. Service is absolutely wonderful as well. This place has very fresh ingredients and the service is excellent. I'll be going back to try more items. The one thing I didn't like was that there was no option to see the items I wanted in my poke bowl. The items that you choose to put in the poke bowl were hidden behind the counter and they give you a menu with the names of so many items but no pictures. The Thai ice cream is a winner. Love the Cookie Monster and the green hulk. Plenty of topping so including fresh fruit, choc chips, Nutella drizzle, mango boaba, vanilla wafers. Swinging by the ATM was on my list. Stopping to enjoy the J Petal cocktail was not on my list, but so glad I did! The presentation was beautiful, the fruit fresh and tasty. That tender crepe was warm, but not in a way that curdled the cream. I chose to have mine at the shop, and what a delight. Although it was mid afternoon, there was a stream of Door dash and other takeout orders. The sitting arrangements offered socially distanced spacing and they did a nice job cleaning after every customer. First rolled ice cream /boba place in this town, I've come back time and time again because I enjoy the homemade ice cream that is fresh and tasty. Never tried their crepes but it's on my list as I'll prolly be back. I think it is family owned and they are very nice and friendly. Came here when they first opened and they didn't have much businesses but I came again tonight and there was a few other people in the cafe so I'm glad business is going well as I hope this place is here to stay. If you've ever been to a typical boba shop they play Kpop / asian pop music, have plenty of seating and board games you can play with company. The crepes, whether savory or sweet, are super healthy and delicious. Our favorite savory crepe is the J petal special, because why not? They fill the crepe with proteins and veggies and the slightly spicy mayo that adds an extra zing! We also love the sweet crepes, any one of them will leave you feeling happy and delighted and without the heaviness of eating too much sweets. This place is awesome. LOVE IT! Living in Providence, we stumbled upon J petal on a weekend cruising around for lunch, and saw the decals on the window. We were not dissapointed! I was drawn in by the flower roll up crepes, but once we went in and saw the extended menu, my husband and I both went with a bowl. I have to say the food is delicious! I went with a poke bowl, I don't even remember what was in it, everything, tuna, spicy tuna, edamame, ginger, jalapenos, mango, rice, you get the idea. Everything was fresh, and made beautifully. It was prepared to the highest standard. While we were waiting for our bowls, we watched them prepare Thai ice cream. It was so fun to watch! The space is very large and has plenty of seating. Some people were playing Jenga when we walked in and later on a family was playing Uno. They offer sweet Crepes, Savory crepes and rolled ice cream, and beverages. The crates can be filled with fruit, ice cream, and other toppings. Or the savory's you can have vegetables, shrimp and some other options. We opted for the rolled ice cream. This is the coolest thing I've ever seen. Somebody making ice cream in front of me on this large frozen piece of metal and just mixing it up putting my add-ins right in there, I chose coffee ice cream for the base with bananas. The ice cream comes out in rolls so they stand them up like you would have straw, and you can see all the little coils when you're looking down at your ice cream.
