What is it about getting your food in a box that's strangely exciting? Is it that even though you've ordered it and watched the counter staff wrap it up it still feels like you've been given a wee present? You've probably guessed by now that in Natural Kitchen they serve you your meal in a box and you've also probably guessed that I'm a fan of this. But, 'what's in the box?' I hear you ask. Being a creature of habit on 2 visits to Natural Kitchen I had the exact same parcel, I mean meal. I had a box with one main being spicy chicken (Morrocan I believe), a kale side salad and feta salad. This is pretty much their medium offering with small being 1 side salad and large being 3 sides. I found 2 sides filling enough. They also sell smoothies including those weird green ones that my brain can't quite comprehend. This Natural Kitchen is at the bottom of a busy office block so as you can imagine it is really busy at lunchtime but I would recommend queuing, as this is a healthy lunch option and think about it you'll even be burning calories while you're waiting! Bonus.

One of the best breakfast spots in London. One can order a traditional English Breky (although I saw no baked beans) or for the more health conscious, an Omega-3 breakfast with eggs, avocado and smoked salmon. Coffee, smoothies and fruit instilled ice-teas are available as well as drinks with a kick. Our family of 6 ate here twice, as there was something for everyone. When I am in this area again, I will definitely come back. Wish we had something like this where we live.

The salad was good. I may come here again but for take away.

I ordered a Halloumi salad. There is only so much you can do with Halloumi, so I'd say the salad was good and presented well. However, I wasn't impressed with the service. After seating me down, I had to call the waitress myself to take my order. The staff isn't very vigilant to see if I have finished my salad and am ready to pay or if I need anything else. Not once during my meal did anyone approach me to ask if I needed anything else. It's the service that got this place the two stars.

This was very bad experience for us. Felt very unwelcome with bad attitude toward us from the waitress.

Nice place for Sunday breakfast, and specially if you're into super healthy food. Sandwiches are good too.

Breakfast was poor. Really disappointing eggs over cooked, break inedible, and service not great.

Oh yeah! Americans…read morefrom California here. Who would've known that mashed potatoes, sausages, and gravy would go so well together! Loved every bite. Got the gravy on the side, didn't think I'd use all of it, before I knew it, it was all gone. And you wouldn't think that the type of mash or type of gravy or type of sausage would matter that much, but they really do all have distinct flavors! I will be mixing mustard into my mashed potatoes from now on. Originally came for the sticky toffee pudding, so of course we ended with that. Marvelous! The toffee sauce is so comforting and rich, the cake was so moist, and it was perfectly balanced with the ice cream. Didn't detect any dates, maybe they were too finely chopped. Also the apple and blackberry crumble just didn't hit the same; it was slightly dry and on the sour side (maybe don't take a bite directly after the pudding!) Service was so helpful and friendly; I'm sure they love watching people fall in love with their food. Quick with refills and offered extra condiments if needed. Great air conditioning as well (always a plus), and I loved the green blacksplash and blackboard caligraphy on the walls as well. Bangin'

My wife actually booked dinner reservations in advance for Ye Old Cheshire Cheese, it was one of a few we did that for rather than just popping in. For some of these, Cheshire included, it isn't a bad idea if you want a full meal to do so as it gives you a table in a dining area that is quieter than the More raucous areas of the pub and guarantees you plenty of elbow room to dine. Every pub has fish and chips, and we had our share of it during our 8+ day trek, but my wife swears by this place as having the absolute best. I'd likely agree with that--we both had the traditional fish, chips, peas platter and every bite was great. We had a few slices of sourdough to hold us over while waiting for those plates. My wife had a bit of wine, and I tried a lager, lower ABV ale, and a pour of scotch opting for their "house" scotch. The spirits/beer menu was the same I saw used at a couple of what I think must be "sister" pubs all using the same distilleries and brewers. We were too full to try dessert. Service was friendly. Not sure if it was the vintage of my scotch or her wine, but price-wise this was by far our priciest pub visit in the area and I can't quite point my fingers at why, but I don't regret our meal and time here. As for historic interest, you can find pictures and placards of many of the pubs famous patrons from history--Dickens, Mark Twain on visits to London, etc. A first edition of a Dickens' book adorned a post by our table.

A really great way to try their variety of meats. First, the portion was absolutely huge - I definitely appreciated how much vegetables there were, the roasted brussels and carrots were delicious. Sides were all good - including the roasted potatoes and yorkshire pudding. The star was the meat of course, my favorite ended up being the lamb which was super tender and flavorful. Loved the crispy pork rind that comes with the pork roast slices and the gravy and sauces on the side really rounded out the meal, added a ton of flavor and made it fun to try the different sauces with the variety of meats. Service was great and everything came out really quickly! Definitely would recommend Blacklock to try the famous Sunday roast in London, you can't go wrong here!
