I have been coming to this salon since I moved to SE in 2006. The owner is very sweet and I've always had a super great experience. It is best to call ahead to see when is a good time. I am very particular about the edges of my manicures looking smooth and not jagged, and I was not disappointed with her application. I came here during my lunch break since I work close by, and she was able to do my manicure in under 40 minutes. I went for a shellac pedicure and manicure. They were a warm and friendly staff, and the work is good. I will go again.

Today was my first time going to Natural Nails. It was recommended to me by my hairdresser, as that is where her mother goes for a pedicure. I was greeted by Demi, who gave me my pedicure. She was very thorough, very professional, and gave me one of the best pedicures I've ever had, I have every intention of continuing to go to Demi for future pedicures. My first time there for a lip and chin waxing. I now have a continuous itchy irritation on my face two weeks later. I have been having waxing for decades with no issues at all. I will need to see a doctor. Waxing usually has a very very low infection rate so I'm not sure if that is what I have. I didn't actually see the procedure but used spatulas are not to be put in the wax. You need a new spatula each time it is dipped in the wax. My sense this was not the case here. read more

I have been coming here for years. I also thought they did a great job but lately it has been hit or miss. Attention to detail is lacking such as filing nails, polish not all the way to the cuticule and somewhat sloppy. The ladies are sweet, kind and hard working but they need to step it up a couple notches before I will return, I will give them another try before I change salons for good. When the lady was giving me a pedicure she didn't even introduce herself or ask me my name or even talk to me. She was too busy talking to her co worker . When we went to get my fill for the acrylic she still was talking to her co worker. She did pick out the color i really wanted but she didn't make sure the nails were even (some were not). She asked me what shape i wanted and i told her, let's put it this way... some nails are round and some are square :( . I gave her a $5 tip, and right after she looked at it and said thank you but then loudly to her co workers she said " a fill and a pedi and..... continues in her language and looks at me. If you don't know what I'm talking about, rent Bambi. I won't tell. - Every occasion calls for Serge Gainsbourg, Belle and Sebastian, or Nick Drake on the speakers, preferably while twilrling your umbrella up and down a Parisian alley - Sudden urge to pamper the tocks (TM = Melissa P.) Aren't I lucky that this place is about two blocks from my local wine-givers and it's perfectly reasonable to receive a pedicure in one of the massage chairs and walk home, eyes glued to my toes the whole time? At $20 a pop, plus mani, facial, and other services that make you go ahhhhh, it's hard to not give into the elements. read more

I've been to ultra high-end and super divey nail salons in the 5 years I've lived in Portland. This is somewhere in between and my new favorite place to go. I might be biased because it is convenient for me, but there are other places near by that are worth skipping. I've gotten my brows done 4 times by the same lady - consistently perfect every time and I am one picky person. I don't know how she does it... but it never hurts, either! The pedis are express and good. It isn't a spa experience, but nor are we paying for one. The staff is friendly, there is a great variety of colors to choose from, it is clean and well lit (which is a plus when you are getting any waxing services done). I recommend. read more

I took a family member's recommendation to try this place for the first time. The establishment was clean and I had called ahead for an appointment. Even though I arrived 20 minutes early, they started on me right away! Everyone was very polite and kind. The massage chairs were very relaxing and STRONG, better than others I've had. My nails look great- mani/pedi in one hour! My one complaint is that they say they are open 10-6 every day, but I was their last customer and they closed up shop 1/2 hour early! It might be because they know it takes longer than that to do the job, but I thought it was odd. read more

I've been to Natural Nails about a dozen times. Had face and leg waxes as well as standard manicures and pedicures. The salon is clean. The staff is friendly and engaging. They are fast, but the typically do not make you feel rushed (especially important during the massage). Remember this is a nail salon, not a spa. The services are high quality and affordable but they are "everyday". They are getting busier so I recommend calling ahead (even on your way) to make sure they have room for you. So I've had this place saved in my bookmarks to try for a while - today i had a chance. I was so sad to realize I've totally been here before many times! They have business cards with different names on them - no idea why. My first experience here was great - really nice woman, very knowledgeable, plus she didn't cop an attitude when i requested no cutting of the cuticle (hello less work!). Alas I've only seen her there the once (she had a sick baby last I heard). My other experiences were fine nothing to write home about. But I always have trouble with: no credit or debits cards - not sure why. I think they are on the high end for what they are. Don't expect anything more than the basics. read more

They get the job done, pedis are a decent price but I had two ladies work on me. It was strange when the first one (owner?) went to work on someone's nails only partially through my pedi. The second one callus-shamed me about my heels, which is rude and unprofessional. That is one reason I PAY for someone to work on my feet, I can't do the same kind of job on myself that someone else can. They do NOT take credit or debit cards, which I didn't know until it was time to pay. She urged me to go to QFC for cash, but I was able to write a check instead. They are rude. Did not have colors on nail chart after choosing twice. Continuously hurt nails with sanding tool and would get angry if i pulled my hand away. Very disappointed, I had stayed away for approximately a year and unfortunately I returned to only receive substandard service once again. read more

I wrote a review earlier but don`t see it so will try again. I have been coming here for two years or so. I couldn't believe they have been here for about 13 years! Demi is great!! Does a fantastic job of the pedicure and is always smiling, polite, and interesting to talk to. I wouldn't consider any where else. Shop is spotless, corona virus issued are well taken care of (sign up sheet, time of day ,tracking info...) masks, sanitizing. I could not recommend them any higher. This place is my heaven. The staff are so kind, especially the lady who owns it. The salon is extremely clean, the prices are really good and most importantly- they do THE BEST manicures and pedicures in town. Did I mention they have about one million nail color choices? My ladies at Natural Nails have been doing my nails for 6 years! They are the best. It's a casual, clean, comfortable salon and they get you done pretty quickly. I do shellac manicures every month and they finish them within an hour. They also do my brows within 10 mins and it's painless and always turns out well! A really great salon with a lot of regulars, which is always a good sign. They prefer no cards, so I bring a check every time. They're a small business, give them a break :) read more

The ladies that work here are nice but they didn't do a good job on my pedicure. Had some sugar scrub still on my legs after she was done and the polish could have been done better. Plus at this time they don't have a working card machine. So I had to walk over to QFC to get cash from the ATM. Which they didn't tell me about till I was handing over my debit card. A sign or warning about the broken machine would have been nice. read more

Natural Nails is a good place to go, as long as you KNOW who you're going to. When I came in for a broken nail the person they had help me HAD to have been in training because it took her 10 minutes to remove my broken nail. She tried to put acrylic over my natural nail, instead of glueing one on, then applying acrylic. And in the end I had a nail that was much longer than all of the others and bent to the left. Instead of walking in I suggest an appointment, most of the other girls do great nails...I don't remember all their names but Nancy, and Mindy are two of the better ones. read more

Kind of lackluster. Wasn't offered water, didn't like that the tech handled money while wearing gloves to do my toes but them didn't make any effort to clean her hands before resuming my pedi. LAZY exfoliation and plenty of conversations going on but none in English. When I asked of she'd be using callous remover she said no because my feet were already soft. Yeah, because they get regular thorough scrubbings, which is what I'm paying you for. Anyway, polish was well done but overall not a great pedi. read more

This has become my default nail salon due to it being only a block away from my house. The ladies have always been more than nice, however the quality of paint job, precision, overall enthusiasm, and effort are all lacking. After spending quite a bit of dough for a manicure/pedicure I was weakly massaged, and rushed through being their last appointment of the evening. I recommend spending you money elsewhere if your looking for a genuine experience. read more

Do not go here if you're looking for a regular place to go. The service is sometimes good (ok) or just bad. I go here every once in a while since I live across the street and need to get my nails done last minute. They don't seem to care about their customers..talk to each other the whole time. They might said a couple words to the customers. Prices are reasonable. But I'm tired of going to nail salons where no one seems to care about impressing the customers. Salons are suppose to be a place to relax and feel a bit pampered. This place NEVER makes you feel that way. read more

Went there 2 times, for waxing and I got a pedi. In my opinion it's over priced for the quality of work done. Both times I left Feeling unsatisfied with the work, and my pedi polish was left streaky. The ladies are nice but, there are too many nail salons for that to be a deciding factor. I recommend going else wear. read more

Came here to get my sister acrylics for her birthday. Some nails were lighter than others as if some didn't get a second coat of polish and none of the nails are equal in length most noticeably the pinkie nails and she left globs of acrylic under her nails which dried and has become uncomfortable. The lady that did my mothers pedicure messed up on two of her toes three times and it still didn't turn out right. Most likely won't be going back but there are plenty more salons in Portland to try. read more

I came here once with my cousin a few months back for manicures. The service itself was great but the only part that sketched me out was the fact that the business accepted cash only and had their customers walk over to the grocery store next door to purchase something small and get cash-back ..... However... the woman who did my nails was great. My nails were nicely groomed and the color stayed on for more than a week without chipping at all and this was just regular color. I ended up getting both a manicure and pedicure and spent about $50 total. The service was good here. Might give it another chance but there are always many other places to visit so we'll see! read more

I won't be going back even though I had been going for a couple of years due to convenience. They do an okay job with nails but not great. My biggest complaint is that I never felt welcomed there and I never felt like they appreciated my business. I'll find a salon that is welcoming and that doesn't rush through the process even when no one is waiting. read more
