Just a quick update. While I still very much appreciate the value at Naturally Nails and realize that this is only a two-sister venture, I recently found out that what I *thought* were UV gel nails were, in fact, NOT! They are simply acrylic nails with a UV gel topcoat. So, if you don't care about that, then, keep going, but I do NOT want acrylic on my nails. I do NOT want to keep inhaling the harmful fumes and dust. I wish them all the best, but I can't go back. My lungs are too important to me. read more

My daughter just relocated to east bay, so I found this nail salon on a visit to her, after reading reviews on several nearby salons. I could not have chosen better and only wish I had this salon and these ladies near my southern ca home! First, and foremost, Lynn (I only was lynn's client, never had her sister Jennifer) is so extremely gentle and thorough with both mani/pedi. I usually endure some anxiety at nail salons because I have been cut and injured more than once. I particularly get fearful when the technicians start talking too much amongst themselves, cause I fear they are not focusing. With Lynn, 100% relaxation! And I must mention how accommodating they are. Both times, they fit me in and even stay late to accommodate their clients. Lynn told me they recently worked till 10 pm on a Friday night cause their clientele needed them. Awesome! Prices are reasonable, work is superior, and the ladies are incredibly nice! On my last visit we discussed some of the differences between our cultures and it just felt like talking to a good friend. I wish them the best. I came during a weekday and it was easy to get an appointment with in the next few minutes after I had called. Jen was super friendly and made sure I was comfortable. "Meh. I've experienced better," fits the description. Unfortunately. I really want to like this place because the owner "jennifer" is so nice. Her sister, Linda, wasn't there so she was working alone, though. Honestly, though, that's the only "pro". It's a big pro--she's super nice, asks questions about your life, knows your name and is very personable. But I got a french manicure and it wasn't good. I chip my nails really quickly just cuz I'm not very careful with them. But these chipped extra easily. The polish came off really quickly compared to other places. Also, the massage doesn't feel as good as usual because she uses gloves instead of her bare hands. read more

Was told to come in at a certain time for an appt. arrived early since I was just down the street and had to wait about 20 minutes past my appt. she did recognize that I was waiting and because im they only have 3 chairs and 2 people working she couldn't get to me earlier. Jennifer and Lin went above and beyond for me & I am so pleased. I was leaving town for Jamaica early last Saturday morning & I procrastinated getting my mani/pedi done until Friday night. My engagement party is this weekend, and I had a loooonnngg week. All in all, it was the perfect time for a manipedi. I decided to try Naturally Nails after reading the reviews here. I made an appointment and came in on time. There was a small mixup with the timing, and Jennifer was apologetic. But it was all good. The ladies are very friendly and like to talk to you, and that was something I really appreciated. Lynn(?) took care of my pedicure and did a great job. Paraffin included! Jennifer did my nails and they turned out beautiful. They've recently remodeled! Two new massage chair/footbaths, probably the best I've ever sat in. The place is small, but well-ventilated. All applicable licenses are on display and current. Parking was easy-peasy, right in front. This place doesnt even deserve one star. My appt was set back by 25 minutes when I arrived, as were others up to 45 minutes. The girl clearly did not know how to do a new set of nails as she put glue on each of my nails 4 times and took 2.25 hours to complete the job. Normally my nails will last a good 6 weeks before they start lifting, this time it was only 2 1/2 wks. Dont waste your money and time going here! read more

Jen and Lynn have taken the very best care of me ever since they opened. When stressed, I have been a biter all my life and have shown up with very little to anchor acrylics onto. They know just how to make me look all put together again. They take a personal interest in your life. I feel like a member of their family and in fact have had the pleasure of watching their family grow over the years. This place is tucked away in this tiny strip mall on Contra Costa Blvd. The shop itself is probably smaller than my living room but the two sisters that run the place are really sweet and give you a lot of attention. What I like most about the place is that when you go there, you can get your own set of nail tools in a box for $5, so everytime you go get your nails done, your using your tools only. A pedicure will run you about $20 but they also give you a perafin wax treatment thats included in the price. Most places I know charge extra. The drawback about this place is that because there is only two of them working, it may take a little long to get your nails done. So if you're in a rush, this is not the place to go.
