Has that feeling.. ya know?!? Service was fast and friendly, everything was super fresh, made to order and solid portions. I got the village veggie, with no cream cheese, but thinking back.. that would probably even make the sandwich more epic, it hit all the right spots. It was flavorful and delivered very well. - my buddy got some kind of chicken sandwich that he said was amazing as well. I also got a coffee and that was tasty, they use Java City, nothing special in my eyes, but I get it. It's a longtime staple. - I didn't even get to touch the desserts this time!!, that will be my mission next visit, along with trying something else... from roaming local roosters to just a really beautiful hangout, definitely this place is worth checking out. They're open 7 AM to 6 PM so I'd say you have really no excuse other than to go get that bomb deli sandwich!

As someone who is bipolar and been homeless before, I always pass along my leftovers to one of the homeless that hangs out in the park. I came up to him today with a cup of tea, and he asked if I could get him a cup of coffee. I said sure, it's 2 dollars that I can spend on someone in a similar situation that I have been in myself before. I came out with a cup of coffee for him, he was standing by the bar down the street. He requested milk and sugar. I didn't want to touch the cup he was holding so I said okay. The girl at the register was happy to give me an extra cup for milk and sugar. I filled it and was cornered when I was exiting. She was fuming, flustered saying that refills aren't free. How dare I take free refills from the shop before. I apologetically expressed I can pay for a second cup of coffee. She didn't back down. She verbally berated me in front of EVERYONE and it was an awful experience. I've been homeless myself but I've never looked it. This is unacceptable behavior and very ableist. I will still come by, but I wanted to warn others that this place is very discriminatory against the disabled homeless population and I do not want to be a part of this kind of energy.

Now they are gone, and this place has been open for the last few months. It's a little family run place. It's clean, nothing fancy on the inside. It's just your average donut shop. The lady that runs the place is so very nice. They have lots of selections, different coffee, drinks, donuts, dessert, type, croissants, sandwiches, etc.. I decided to go for an apple fritter, and a Vietnamese, egg coffee, which I love... The fritter was very large, and excellent. Lots of apples, crisp on the outside with a little bit of a crunch, yet so tender and fluffy on the inside. A total and complete Home run. The egg coffee was also excellent. Vietnamese coffee definitely has a kick to it. It's bold and robust, and it's stronger than espresso. It is an acquired taste, but I acquired the taste immediately. I paid three dollars for the fritter, which was reasonable, and the coffee was eight bucks. Yes, on the higher end, but you are getting a very good quality coffee. Definitely worth paying a couple of bucks extra for. A couple of bucks less, and you will be getting far inferior coffee from Starbucks. I'm a fan, I'll be back. The cream on top was delicious by itself, but as a whole the drink was far too sweet for our taste. The two staff members weren't rude, but they also weren't particularly welcoming. At times, it felt like we were inconveniencing them. For example, when I asked for an item that was out of stock, the response was, "I guess I can make one," which came across as dismissive. I debated whether to post this review because I know they're a newer business, and it's not easy getting started. My hope is that this feedback is taken constructively. A warmer, more welcoming attitude toward new customers could make a big difference, because first impressions matter.
