An old establishment with limited and crowded seating. Limited menu. Poor parking. Poor service. Highly overrated.

Outstanding artichoke quiche--fluffy, light, and moist. Really friendly staff and a kitschy, hippie atmosphere.

Place has good potential, but it seemed like everything we ordered they messed up on. We ended up getting an iced coffee to go, but they ended up giving us a frozen sweetened cow-milk milkshake instead... don't know if we'll stop by there again when passing through the area. read more

I was hungry for a good sandwich and my wife wanted something light and healthy. I had the organic chicken breast sandwich on their homemade organic wheat bread . It was heaven. My wife had a bowl of their vegetarian chili and loved it! The people there are as nice as their food is good! We highly recommend! read more

Stopped for lunch in Yreka and found this gem of a restaurant complete with a health food store and many funky and eclectic items to purchase. I had a wonderful spinach and cheese quiche in a puff pastry crust and an unusual and delicious basil tomato soup. I also shared a carrot cookie with frosting and one cookie was definitely big enough to share! Yummy. The atmosphere was friendly and the service great. What a gem! I had the sundried tomato quiche and my husband had the bacon one. Best quiche crust ever. It was light and flaky and layered, reminiscent of a croissant. We also got a carrot cookie which was a carrot cake but not, with a layer of amazing icing with orange zest. Absolutely delicious! The fig bar was great also, not too sweet. On top of this great food, the store is wonderful (I bought a small sage smudge bundle and was tempted to buy some rose quartz!). The people who work here are wonderful, smiling and friendly. Definite positive vibes coursing through here! We were just passing through but with the easy on/off fwy access, we'll definitely stop every time we pass through! read more

It's hard to believe that one can find food, service, and atmosphere of this quality just off the highway. I had a homemade veggie burger and cup of tomato bisque and both were outstanding. My husband & I stopped on our back to Oregon for lunch. The food was delicious. I eat gluten free and mostly vegetarian or vegan so there was plenty on the menu for me to eat. My husband eats meat so he was very pleased to have a chicken sandwich which he said was delicious. The food is mostly organic & non GMO. The owner was very nice. We picked up a few things from the gift shop and health food store as well. Definitely worth stopping at and will do so on our next time through the area. read more

The one good thing I have to say is it's very cozy inside this cafe. However, not much else is desirable here. The service my family received when we stopped in for a quick bite and coffee was deplorable. The sandwich prices are so outlandish ($5 for 1/2 a KID'S PB!!) I actually cancelled my order while the cook was making the sandwich. I NEVER do that. But due to the lack of good customer service I took our overpriced mediocre coffee-water and left. read more

My favorite lunch place in Siskiyou County!! Flannery and her husband own this (very good health food store and) restaurant. It has been here for 25 years. Charming folks. Definitely NOT hippies! Let's get to the food! I am a HUGE fan of their quiche~ I live out of town so call ahead to see what's on the menu and reserve a piece if I am going to get there after 11:30am. . Last time: Sundries tomato + basil. This quiche is THE BEST because: Flannery's husband makes it with butter so that it is actually a croissant crust. Never have tasted anything like this before! And the fillings are so varied with specials. They are soft, almost custard fillings & unbelievably good. Needed to give someone a special Thank You recently, drove up from Mount Shasta to get a piece of Spinach Quiche, turned around and drove directly back. Now, that's LOVE! read more

Fantastic quiche for lunch! Light and fluffy textured egg, cheese and mushroom creation in a rich, flaky crust. Wife had a very satisfying vegetable soup with fresh chopped celery, carrots and tomatoes. We stopped in for lunch on our way north on the I-5 after reading the reviews on Yelp and thought that it would align with our tastes. We will be back. read more

According to my husband, if this review was based solely on the coffee that he had, it would be a solid 5 stars. He was surprised by how much he loved it. He's from the Seattle area (coffee land) and he's a big fan of "GOOD" coffee. Not sure what that means since I'm not a coffee aficionado. Still, we reserve our 5 stars for places we would want on that 'deserted island' type of scenario. Having said that, stopping at Nature's Kitchen made for a fantastic, out of the norm, place to stop and take a break on our drive up from CA to WA. We had their fig bar, date bar, and brownie. They were all very yummy. There was also a great selection of natural sodas and juices. My toddler was totally entertained by the puzzle of vines on the ceiling that had fairies, butterflies, and other little creatures hanging all over the place. You can't put that kind of ambiance together overnight. It's the kind of locale that comes to be through time. read more
