Great store but some of the vibes of the employees are not great. Kinda ridiculous to require masks and then charge you for them as well. Are they trying to profit off the pandemic? Lovely store but I absolutely refuse to give them anymore of my money due to owner being verbally abusive. Basically - I made a mistake in my time to visit with the skull Max. The grey haired woman who runs the place, who was doing the the appointments basically lied and said that Joanne, Max's handler sets the appointment. I couldn't explain that this was honestly an accident. Immediately the grey haired woman attacked me and accused me of attacking her. I wasn't. I was trying to see if they could call me if there was a cancellation the next day. Instead of being nice helpful person, she was rude, unwilling to do anything, no refunds or call backs. I will not give this establishment another dime due to her behavior. I tried to explain that I'm not rich, I don't have a husband to take care of means the grey haired woman turned around and snapped at me and said "neither do I Missy." Firstly- not appropriate behavior. There is no reason for name calling. Secondly, she owns the place. I can guarantee she's got her bases covered. If she's mad that she doesn't have a husband or whatever - that's a her problem. If I touched a nerve from what I said then maybe she should have been nicer. She is certainly old enough to know better. I just wanted to find a solution to this problem to which this woman with grey hair refused to do anything about. I know for a fact that she will not call me tomorrow due to her spiteful disposition. I love how nothing could be done because people are more obsessed about have money in their pockets instead of being a decent human being and just be kind. She could have said that she can put my name on a list. Accidents do happen. She could have easily said that I can take your name and number and if there is a cancellation, I will call you. My first time here upon entry I got a negative vibe. Lets start with the rude loud mouth girl at the door. I am happy that they are making sure everyone wears a mask, but the door person is just rude! The store itself is very large and they do have a lot to offer. So I'm sure whatever you are looking for you will find here. I stood in line and watched the lady at the door basically accuse someone of stealing, making a scene. This person did have a receipt and the check out person did scream over and say yes they purchased it. How do you just start profiling people at the door? How about you just check everyone's receipt before they exit instead of accusing people, and putting on a show. I'm sorry I will not be returning here, all that negativity is probably pouring in your products that I will not be taking home. This whole store needs to be cleansed along with your employees. Honestly i didn't know what to expect when i walked into the store, i drove from san antonio to go check them out because i wanted to support a crystal shop and let me tell you i wasn't disappointed! It was very clean, clear COVID directions, little baskets to hold the items we picked up in for sanitary reasons, (which they sanitized after every use), and so many beautiful crystal options. If you are anywhere around Austin and you love crystals and minerals as much as I do, then this place is a MUST! You can buy rough large specimens by the lb, or you can find set stones and crystals set in any type of jewelry. They sell incense, candles, books, crystal singing bowls, salt lamps and anything else your heart desires. We have been making this a family trip once a month with our two little boys and they love it. Truly a TREASURE in central Texas! read more

My daughters and I came into Natures Treasures on a Thursday evening about a month ago close to closing time. The employee in the Rock Depot was extremely rude to everyone in there, constantly stating, "we're closing in 5 minutes, make your selections now." When we were getting ready to check out (purchasing at least $100 worth of geodes etc), he was so rude that we decided not to purchase. My daughter sent an email to the manager and still has not received a response from Nature's Treasures!!! This is the only time we've had a negative/bad experience there. This place is a little pricey, but it really has everything that you need whether that be a smaller crystal because you're on a budget or a massive crystal to invest in and place in your home. I wish they had a larger selection of incense but their smudging section is beautiful so that made up for it. Just being in this place truly helped me clear my mind and it's so calming in there. Completely rude staff. I have a medical exemption that excludes me from wearing a mask. I wear a mesh mask as my "mouth covering" out of respect for those around me. But wearing a regular mask possesses a mental/physical harm. My mesh mask was not acceptable. Was willing to show management this medical exemption and they still would not let me in the building nor would they even LOOK at the exemption. We went back to the car and my husband went back to talk to management to see if there was anything we could do as i was very upset and crying having traveled 3 hours to come here. All they had to say was "we don't care. sue us". Have respect for the people that are physically unable to cover their mouths. You have no idea the trauma a person has gone through that doesn't allow them to wear a mask. So because of that i have to just stay away? Completely unfair. We have to wear a mask for everyone else's rights, but what about MY rights? So you expect people who physically can not cover their faces to just stay home? Do you not understand how mentally damaging that is? I can't live a normal life and go experience places because of a medical condition I can not help? Can anyone else with a disability come in to your store? Or are they not allowed in either? I have not had this issue ANYWHERE else. read more

A true wonderland if you're into rocks & crystals. It's like walking into a gem & mineral show but without the annoying crowd, yet the store stays quite busy. Just about any stone can be found here and in any shape/size and the prices are fair. There's even a sitting area with sofas for bored boyfriends or husbands to sit and wait until it's over. This shop is always the highlight of our day when we're passing through downtown. A must. We love the vast diversity of stones types, cuts, sizes. The shop nextdoor that has rough rock materials for tumbling and shaping is also a place we stop in. We don't know a lot, but we want to learn. The staff is usually pretty condescending, impatient if you don't know about rocks. That's fine. I get that it's cool to not care about customer service. As a customer it would be nice to receive it. But as a local, I know what to expect when I'm out and about. Today, I took my kids in to this portion of the shop to purchase a few items for my daughter's rock tumbler. It's a toy. But we have fun with it. There are two pretend archeological dig tables. Today, one had a sign that said to not open. Had three to four rocks holding down the usual plastic cover. The 2nd table looked normal. Just the plastic cover. No sign. No rocks. My kids ask if I'll take the cover off so they can play. I do it. But I say 'don't mess with the other table. There's a sign there that says it's not ok to use'. As I talk to the guy who works there, mid 30s, bearded, long hair, he looks over my shoulder and starts telling me the kids shouldn't be in that. The cat uses that as his litter box. They need to stop, wash their hands. I go over to get the kids hands out of the sand box. And ask where they should wash their hands. He says they have a restroom but it's for staff only. We'll have to go next door. All of this is still fine mind you. I'm not upset yet. Then he tells my children that they shouldn't go just opening things without telling anyone. That they were closed for a reason. I piped up, 'I'm the one though. I took the lid off. There was no sign to say otherwise'. To which he responded 'there were rocks on top'. To which I responded 'there were not'. And if they're both now litter boxes, they should both have signs. I left my purchase on the counter and got my kids out of there. What a shame. My kid loves rocks. Too bad I can't go back in there. As my child just said to me as I write this 'why did that guy choose to ruin our day'. I don't know. read more

If you are into the metaphysical, you will enjoy this place. They focus heavily on that, probably because those into the metaphysical will gladly spend more money on minerals than they are worth. I am an avid rock, fossil, and mineral collector. I have an extensive collection with pieces originating from all over the world, purchased in stores, online, and at shows. Basically, I have experience is what I'm trying to say. This store has a very good selection of high-end pieces, from fossils to crystals, to minerals. They are constantly bringing in new stock from around the world - though after reading and talking I learned that many of their pieces come from their trips to shows, not actually direct from the mines. Perhaps this explains... The cost. Their prices are about 10% or so higher than the highest retail value these pieces are worth. I have bought pieces on sale for a reasonable-average retail value price. I bought one very large piece at their retail price, even though it was too high, because I could buy it in person and not have to ship it - so it came out about even as far as cost here versus online+shipping. The benefit was I could see it in person and really check out the piece. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I have been several times, but have always received lukewarm-at-best responses and service. Once they found out I was spending thousands in the store, then I had 3 people wanting to help and be all chummy. I told them what I wanted wrapped and that I was going to continue shopping for a while before checking out. Here's what annoyed me - they didn't wrap the piece for travel WHILE I was shopping! I had to wait a further 20 minutes after checking out for them to do it! Customer service gets 1 star. read more

Yesterday was the yearly truck sale. There were wonderful deals to be had. Bookmark when they have their truck sales if you can, because they have wonderful gift ideas. I love the variety of gemstones, etc. I am a collector and like to learn about the metaphysical. They would also give each person a free stone up at the front, too, and that's pretty cool. I am unsure how often they do that. The selection is impeccable and abundant. I was able to locate some wonderful ametrine, turquoise, rose quartz, and blue tiger's eye items, just to name a few. They were also performing palm readings yesterday. The prices are the lowest I have seen in these markets. I LOVE THE SINGING BOWLS!!!!! This coming week they said they will have a fun event, too, so it's good to check out. It seems like they always have something positive going on. I had a dream about a treasure chest one night. A couple days later I visited the Nature's Treasures where we found ourselves digging through a treasure chest - literally. I first learned about this spot from a woman who was talking about the energy of stones. I had mentioned my visit to another locally based shop and she said I had to check out Nature's Treasures. I'm glad we did. When you first get to the location, you're scratching your head to figure out where it is. Located inside of a warehouse (up a few stairs, across from TOPS), your first step inside the shop reveals huge beautiful rocks, Tibetan crystal bowls and a plethora of eye candy for anyone who marvels at gems. While there, you absolutely must pay a visit to the back room, off to the right-hand side, where they have a wide array of semi-precious stones including malachite, amethyst, galena and much, much more. They even have some fossils that are intriguing to check out. While in the back room, dig through the treasure chest. This is a place that the owner puts rare finds/neat deals for her customers. We got an amazingly beautiful amethyst stone for a really great price. This is a good place for those of you who have a secret inner-pirate. I say this because you literally sort through to find little treasures. Probably one of my favorite things about this shop is that they have rocks that literally look like they were pulled from the ground but then you turn it over and you can't believe nature made it - just beautiful. I've only gone a couple times but I think it makes a great Sunday afternoon visit. You can spend hours in the shop. If you like to learn, they have books that tell you about each type of stone and the benefits that are associated with it. Enjoy your treasure hunt! read more

The people are super friendly, and the prices are generally good (they have some very expensive items, which I can't afford, but that doesn't mean that it's "over priced" by any stretch of the imagination -- they have a good range of prices, from the expensive to the thrifty). I've been to a number of crystal shops, and I have to say that this is my favorite. Everything in the store is so well placed, divided by type of crystal, and then by the color of the crystal. Even if you aren't in the mood to spend money on tons of crystals, just go to enjoy a good energy recharge from all those powerful crystals packed into that small store. I always feel so cleansed come out of there. They also have a good selection of dream catchers and medicine bags. Their books are all mostly used, which I love, but some people might not like that. Great educational experience for my son, who is starting to collect stones and crystals he finds at the playground. He was fascinated by the colors, textures, grades of stone and fossils. Lots of questions about why other stones are more precious and rare. He kept saying, "Are these fossils real?". The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They told us to check out the back yard and we couldn't stop saying, "Wowww." So many raw stones! I want to buy a rock tumbler and come back for more. My son found a purple amethyst stone from Brazil, and because it fit his budget, he was thrilled! Maybe one day he'll become a geologist. For now, I can see us going back soon for another treasure. Everything is neatly displayed and organized, stone descriptions are everywhere and there's a section of American Indian artifacts that's a must see. read more

I have to admit I have always laughed at the sign that said "We Rock" outside their building when I drove by it, but they bested me. It's past Fiesta, I think Google Maps is wrong (Sorry Google Gods, please don't delete my stuff) My bf has recently been into rocks and crystals and as a surprise I brought him here. We spent way too long there, but he had a great time and bought quite a few stones for less than $20. He said they were better than some of the online and ebay prices he was looking at. They really seem to have it all- smooth, pocket, decorative, natural, jewelry, educational. There are always a few promotions going on and a clearance table. My bf gave me a small smooth red heart when we left the store. Initially I thought sweet, but I need to figure out how he's trying to subtly tune me with rocks I'm pretty sure. I thought this was a pretty cool little store -- reminded me of many of the places I've been in Sedona. What turned me off was one particular salesperson. I asked if they had a particular kind of bell (similar to, but different from the singing bowls on display). She said "all the bells are in that corner." I explained that I had seen the ones on display, and tried to explain what I was looking for. She just stared at me blankly and repeated that the bells/bowls they had were in the corner. I asked if there was anyone else at the store that might know more, or where I might find a bell like the one I was looking for. "Try the internet or eBay," she said dismissively. Mmmkay I guess I'll try the internet then. So much for buying local. I'm giving the store three stars because it was indeed "A-OK." You can definitely find some pretty stuff there. It is possible that my expectations were unfairly high -- in my experience stores like this have a warmer and better educated staff who are keyed in to other local shops. Justin did same day service to drill the necessary holes into the stone and Gage pulled out his incredible macrame skills to fashion an adjustable leather band for the bracelet right there at the counter which took no time at all! I absolutely have loved this store for years, but in the past year or so I feel the customer service had gone by the wayside. I was looking for jewelry and asked to see backstock of a particular color of earring...normally in the past I've been 'allowed' to look through the tray on my own. The woman who helped me today was unfriendly and literally watched my every move as I was looking through the tray of backstock. I felt so uncomfortable. She said nothing the whole time. Then upon checkout I presented a 15% off punchcard that was full- later I realized I didn't get the discount.
