Cute little place right in Los Alamos. It was pretty quiet in town as it was the Fourth of July. Majority of places were closed but we found this place. Not only beer, but they also have wine tasting and serves food. The whole vibe is actually pretty cute. Outdoor seating with umbrella as well as indoor. Majority of people were outside enjoying the weather. Inside, one section is like a cafe with tasting as well. We stopped by for a cold beer which they had a good selections and ciders. If we hadn't already had lunch earlier, the food here looked quite nice. Someone ordered a charcuterie board and it was quite impressive. Service was nice and the staff were all very friendly. I'm sure if it wasn't a holiday, this place does will probably be pretty busy when the town is full of people. Now that we've been through, it's definitely worth coming back. read more

WOW what a hidden gem! We came here for my 30th birthday trip celebration and were so surprised. I'm a big deviled egg gal and absolutely loved the board that we ended up getting two!! Nice place to stop & have a beverage when in Los Almos. They have a rotating tap list and canned selections from around the world. They are connected to their sister business - Casa Dumetz Wines - which has boutique wines & ciders made only with Santa Barbara County grapes. There is also a small restaurant if you're looking for some bites to enjoy. There is some indoor & outdoor seating. A book shelf available if you want to grab a book to read. There is also a few beverages & novelty gifts for purchase. I enjoyed the Clementine Carter Roussanne & my Dad got one of their German beers. Staff are very friendly. We came here yesterday, which also happened to be the Los Alamos olden days parade at 11:00. My husband and I wanted to get a beer while we watched the parade but they were not open yet and so we waited in the beer garden area for them to open up. A very nice dark haired gal with glasses showed up and when we asked her about getting a beer she said give her a few minutes to set up and get the cushions out for the outdoor chairs. We were patiently waiting when the owner (an older blonde woman with short hair) came out and said to us "wow you guys, this is a business, and you are all just sitting back here not buying anything!?!" I was shocked at her extremely rude and condescending tone. About five minutes later (when they were finally ready to take orders) we ordered two beers and drank them outside. The Owner-lady came out at that point again and saw that we purchased beers and glared at us, talked to her friends that had just showed up then went back inside. I am honestly not sure what we did to offend this woman so much, but I have never encountered a more hostile person. I hope the owner gets the help she needs emotionally. read more

Worth stopping for! Per local recommendation while in Los Olivos, we headed to Babis for some of the greatest tacos I've ever had. I was blown away by the handmade tortillas and amazing and innovative taco combinations. A perfect blend or traditional and elevated flavors. We were excited to try this place after a day of winetasting. However, in the pictures it seems like they had plenty of beer options but really they only had five options on a short menu and one of them was a hazy IPA, which we ordered but then they brought us another IPA and said that's all they had. I visited Babi's on what turned out to be a very challenging day to conduct business. There was a lightning storm that knocked out power for the whole day. Babi's rose to the occasion! They maintained great service! The wine and food were equally on point. Got here at 5 pm on a Friday. The location is quaint and they have good beers. It's small inside but with that great small town service. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even ask for your names at the beginning to provide personalized service! I had a blonde pilsner and it was tasty. $5 for a small and $7 for a medium glass. No photos allowed indoors. Went out to Los Alamos with my parents and S.O. on Valentine's Day and decided to check this place out. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming as we came in and was very knowledgable of the beer in the store. We ended up going with a $28 Logsdon Farmhouse Ale Cerasus, which I would recommend if you are into less of a strong tasting, more fruity beer. Since we were a group of 4 she poured it into 4 glasses for each of us which ended up being in the medium size, $7-priced glasses which shows consistency in their prices. Today I visited Babi's Beer Emporium for the second time. When I first entered the Chef Conrad was so hospitable showing me his previous and new weekend specials with local produce and proud of his culinary creativity. I was just a passer by. When I came back with my son and his friend, we were warmly welcomed and sat on the patio with our pup, so serene in Los Alamos. I observed Chef Conrad Barbecuing and asked what his education in Culinary cuisine was. He gave me a few pointers on why his spot on tri-tip or Pork Belly or Vegetable creations work. Refreshing and down to earth. The very BEST pork belly taco I have EVER had. The homemade tortillas alone are phenomenal. The homemade pickled garnish with a swipe of cilantro glaze on tacos to die for. My sons quesadilla with homemade Naan and Hummus and a side of arugula and pumpkin seeds was great ! I will follow this Culinary genius on multimedia and visit the location regularly. I have to give a heads up to the fantastic beer and wine selection, FANTASTIC. Me and my boyfriend came here together for our first time because we haven't been before the food was pretty delicious the flavors were nice we got some wings and they were crispy and savory. The bao buns could have been done slightly more. But still good. The only thing that bothered us was this blonde lady (probably one of the ones in charge) was kind of pushing her waitresses to get personal by asking personal questions to customers like telling her waitresses to ask customers where they are from, and telling them how to do their job. This bothered us because right after then the waitresses ask us where we are from it didn't feel genuine I don't always think people will want to answer because some are from out of town and not comfortable telling people they are or where they're staying. I think they should let the waitresses learn from experience because they will pick it up and create there own unique and genuine responses and conversation with people not because their boss told them to.
