Day IPA wins by a mile Lager was the lightest beer ever, interesting, and good! Hazy was a classic, non hoppy style Orange Wit was good, and I'm not a wit guy. Sour Orange was sweet, not for me. Wine Cider tasted like wine cider, also good. Went with a 16oz of Day IPA after the flight. This place is a 3 in 1 restaurant (Dimsama + the wine store)

The more I go to Los Alamos there more I love it and all the restaurants. We strolled over to Babi's after having brunch at Plenty on Bell and loved it! We had a beer flight, some wine and after awhile a couple of pork buns. Can't wait to go back and try more items

    They have games, we loved.

We came up for the NY weekend and were looking forward to visiting the beer emporium. Lets just say we had such a wonderful time we stayed about 4 hours! The ciders, beer, dim sum was all a 10/10. What kept us was the service and the setting. It was a rainy New Years Eve day. We played games, laughed and invited some friends to join. All of us were enamored by this local gem. This is a must when you are in Los Alamos! Thank you to the funnest staff:)

Worth stopping for! Per local recommendation while in Los Olivos, we headed to Babis for some of the greatest tacos I've ever had. I was blown away by the handmade tortillas and amazing and innovative taco combinations. A perfect blend or traditional and elevated flavors. Super friendly staff and great beer and wine options as well. I highly recommend the chorizo and potato taco!

The flattest, driest soup dumpling ever. These are most expensive dumpings on the menu. Beers and staff are great.

Beers are great but he dumplings are definitely something else. Don't call this a soup dumping when it comes out flat as coin. Not sure what they think a soup dumpling is.

Small glass of beer $5 and the medium $7.

Got here at 5 pm on a Friday. The location is quaint and they have good beers. It's small inside but with that great small town service. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even ask for your names at the beginning to provide personalized service! I had a blonde pilsner and it was tasty. $5 for a small and $7 for a medium glass. No photos allowed indoors. By 530 pm the place was packed with locals having a good time and picking up their membership. Monthly beer club $25!!!

    Amazing tasting Logsdon Farmhouse Ale!

Went out to Los Alamos with my parents and S.O. on Valentine's Day and decided to check this place out. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming as we came in and was very knowledgable of the beer in the store. We ended up going with a $28 Logsdon Farmhouse Ale Cerasus, which I would recommend if you are into less of a strong tasting, more fruity beer. Since we were a group of 4 she poured it into 4 glasses for each of us which ended up being in the medium size, $7-priced glasses which shows consistency in their prices. The beer was delicious and the atmosphere was great, would DEFINITELY return to try other beers!

    Last sips!

Just stopped into here before our dinner reservation - we could not have been treated better by Monique and her team. She accommodated us right before they closed when she did not have to. Such a nice time and truly unmatched beers! Can't wait to return!

    Cauliflower & Shrooms taco.

Babi's Beer Emporium is a must stop if you are in the Los Alamos area. Very inviting casual setting. Several craft beers on tap, along with bottled beers. Tacos are amazing as well as the appetizers. Staff are beyond friendly. Attached wine bar is a plus. Highly recommend!

HOLE-IN-THE-WALL with a dirt parking lot…read more hides fermented liquid gems! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Normally, I would never stop at place like this, but several months ago, I was desperately, a hard to find local wine (Fossil Point- Pinot- which I found out by Goggling is likely made by a name brand local vineyard under another brand name for far less money, and so as not to undercut their "premium" selection. Anyway, I walked in, turned the corner, and almost immediately I spied the local wine, among a whole bunch of other local wines at decent prices. So, I talk to one the young fellows who work their & I placed an order for two cases... I was afraid that it would be discontinued.... but now, several months later I still see it there and now at Haggen. It is kind of cramped in there, and the first time I went there & turned around, I accidently knocked a bottle that was randomly sit on a box along side a windex bottle. I felt like an idiot bull in a china shop. Anyway, the owners were very cool, and they apologized...which was gracious. I was like holy crap, I am so sorry...but it only a White Wine anyway :) In this cramped space they somehow manage to pack lots of local wines, but you really need to look up, down, & bend down to see all of the selection. They also have an extensive beer selection, but few imports. Behind the counter they have the usual harder stuff & have some good vodkas. It could be that you can find something here rather than at Haggen, Von's, or Cal Fresh. Anyway, sometimes you can find gems in dirt! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This place is non-descript yet just off the main park downtown, and an easy walk from most of the major hotels in town, or the central parking lot - plus lots of street parking as well. It seems rather small, with one area for bar seating and small tables, plus a larger dining area "next door" to the bar, but I like the bar ambiance, so it may be challenging on busy tourist days. Luckily, I travel on non-busy days and have always had a good seat. The ambiance is great, with a typical, colorfully decorated pub feel with TVs offering an invitation to relax and have a pint - or two! The menu is varied, and I had planned for what I wanted, but when the server/bartender/boss offered the daily special as an option, I quickly jumped at the chance. The special was a queso dip with house-made chips, and I had to try it! Sadly, I also ordered my usual, the Cobb salad. Sadly, because after the "appetizer" arrived, I quickly realized the full consequences of the saying "your eyes are bigger than your stomach!" The dip and chips were plentiful in both, and for me would have made a great meal on their own. But I was committed and managed to finish the salad. On my previous visit, I had the mac 'n cheese and the Cobb salad, along with a Guinness dark! That was sooo tasty as well! The food at this visit was great, and the service was as well. Sam, who is the owner, bartender, server, and jack-of-all-trades, is always friendly, professional, and efficient, no matter how busy it is, and this visit was the only one outside the kitchen. If you're in the area, give them a try! And leave room for dessert - I have yet to do that, but you can learn from my mistakes!

The spicy wings had great flavor--more on the spicy side than "hot," which honestly made them even better and more enjoyable. The Reuben with onion rings was done right--classic, satisfying, and the onion rings were perfectly cooked with a great crisp. The bread on the sandwich had the perfect crisp as well, which really brought it all together. And the standout was the spicy melt burger. My friend ordered it medium rare, and it came out perfectly medium rare--juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly as requested (which doesn't always happen, so that's worth noting). Everything was executed really well, and you can tell they take pride in the kitchen. Easy 5 stars. Would definitely come back.
