We Stated There Wasn't Enough Room For All Of Us And Had Another Couple On Their Way Over As Well, So In Total 8 Of Us. Loved this place! I'm not from here and wanted to taste local wines. Amy one of the owners was AMAZING! She just made me feel as welcome as the locals. The environment is great, loved the vibe and everyone was so friendly. I gave Amy small idea of what I like and she was spot on with her selections. Vino et Amicci is a great locals wine bar that has struggled during the pandemic. They are hanging in there like many other hospitality places. Food trucks are there on the weekends and you do have to sit outside, but it's a cool place and some tasty Central Ca wines and beers. I highly recommend showing up when the doors open to get a table and enjoy the atmosphere and people. Everyone makes you feel at home. read more

Nice place but....... Was greeted by a very inconvenienced snotty girl on 1/18/24. As soon as we walked in she wanted us to order. Well, can we look at what you have first? She asked if we like blends and showed a bottle on the counter but had no clue what the blend was. It's literally in the menu once we had a hot minute to look at it. Her friend arrived and they snuck away to chat. We've never been in a place like this where the staff doesn't engage you at all. She kept escaping to the back to avoid talking to us and we were the only two guests in there! We asked for a key or code to the public bathrooms and she said they were open but we said no, they're locked. She had no intention of finding out how to open them. She just said I don't know and walked away. Pathetic. This girl has zero customer service skills and is better fit for a morgue. We couldn't drink our wines and leave quick enough. read more

The owner was really friendly and laid back. This isn't a snobbish wine place. They don't judge you or anything. It's a great place to come enjoy a glass or bottle of wine, play some board games or just chill out and talk. Nice seating area and I love the decor. I just love Vino et Amicis! The Hixenbaughs are so down to earth and friendly, and the wine selection is incredible, not to mention they also have beer, and even sell Black Rifle Coffee!! I'm not gonna lie I wanted to give this place four stars for one reason and one reason only: hella old people there. But I have to give it five because those old people know how to turn up. This place was absolutely popping on a Friday night. They had live music and the vibes were amazing even tho we were the youngest people in there by like 20 years (no shade). Also it seems to be military owned which I love to see. They had so many great wines that you can't get at a store and it's very informal. None of that "hints of this" or "undertones of that" bullshit that you might get at a regular wine bar. Overall great experience and will be going back a lot. read more

Our group from work are regulars here. It has a nice outdoor patio (sometimes gets full quickly) and a spacious indoor area with lots of seating. They have a bunch of wines and you can choose a sampling of five wines or a full glass. Some of the wines can be pricey but a lot of the reasonably priced glasses are delicious. You can taste the wine and the staff helps you choose your wine. They have cheese plates from Bella down the street, but you can also order pizzas to be delivered there. They also occasionally have food trucks outside. I've had some great tacos along with my glass of wine. We've always had a good experience with the quality of the wine and the service. read more

What a darling set-up; super classy and thoughtful variety of seating and tables. A perfect place to stop for a glass or two of wine and gourmet bites. Kurt, the owner was so friendly and welcoming to my little dog and I on the patio, our first time there. Sparkles fire pits and heaters gladly turned on when chilly. Water peacefully trickled over the rocks and foliage with a people watching view on Clark Ave. We will be back again for the charcuterie plate and more Chardonnay. We had never been to this place and my sister recommended it to us. We wanted to go out and have some good wine and appetizers. When we got there they had a live band it was pretty cool. We went to the bar and ordered some wine and also ordered some wine and cheese it was small but lively. I was surprised that they had a big selection of different wines. I think this place is good if you want to relax and have a good conversation with friends. If it wasn't for the music it probably would be a bit boring for my taste. I'm not sure if it's my scene there were many older people. I'm not sure if I'd be back unless they have a good band playing and i go with a group of people that would be more fun. read more

Super cute wine bar in the heart of Old Orcutt! Right when you walk in it just feels so warm and cozy. Definitely the perfect place to relax and sink into the couch with a nice glass of wine. They have a great wine list when so many varietals... some you may have never even heard of. It seemed that they tried to keep all the wines from the Santa Barbara county region but I could be wrong. There was so many to choose from I didn't have time to read all of them. Many of the wines they have you can't find in a supermarket or even a lot of restaurants around this area. They also offer food from across the street at the local Bello Forno! Um... flat bread pizza with a delicious wine.... yes please!!!! They do have some cheese plates from the restaurant at the wine bar as well. They also offer wine tasting until 5pm. You just pick out any 5 wines from their menu-minus the sparkling and go from there! Such a great option to try wines you never knew of before. They also offer live music on Thursday nights! Kurt and Dawn were so much fun and friendly! I think this will be my new spot when I just want to relax with a great glass of wine, great atmosphere and fun conversation. Oh! Came to Old Orcutt on a Wednesday afternoon for a beer at the brewery next door and ended up here. Walked in and was immediately greeted by the owner, who was more than welcoming, sat down and enjoyed their tasting; 5 wines for $15. The atmosphere and ambiance was great. There's outdoor seating and an inside lounge area. Old Orcutt needed a place like this and Vino et Amicis has delivered. read more

This venue is not far from our home and we gladly joined their wine club to support small business and because we love the idea of getting different brands of wines -- all approved by and hand-picked by the owners of "Vino", as we call it. We've been there for live music, for a relaxing evening hangout, and private events for friends to include birthday parties and graduation parties. When we relax at Vino, we like to order in from local eateries like Bella Forno or 805 Eats -- and the food is delivered to us! We just feel like we are at home every time we go here.
