I've been seeing NAYA locations popping up throughout the tri-state area and was happy to see this location open close to one of my offices! I ordered my meal ahead of time through DoorDash. When I arrived during lunch hour, there was a long line of people ordering their food. I checked the pickup area but did not see my order yet. One of the employees checked on it for me which I thought was an example of great service. When my order was ready, the employee carried the bag over to me and thanked me for waiting. I ordered a NAYA bowl with several toppings. All of the ingredients are super fresh and the portion was huge, I could barely finish. The pita served with my bowl was super pillowy and melted in my mouth. The inside is very modern and decorated with lots of faux greenery. I'm really disappointed with a recent experience at NAYA. My boyfriend placed an order at 8:40 PM, and they accept orders until 8:45 PM. When he arrived, they initially tried to say they didn't receive the order. Then, while preparing it, the staff gave him noticeable attitude, which was uncomfortable and completely unnecessary. When he got home and I opened the bowl, there was little to no chicken shawarma, mostly rice and toppings, but barely any protein, especially for the price. On top of that, the bread was burnt :( What makes this even more disappointing is that we've always supported and recommended NAYA to everyone we know. He gets Naya at least 3-4 x a week. We've even catered from their LIC location for the Super Bowl because we genuinely loved the food and brand. I got the bowl with cauliflower, rice, most of the toppings and the spicy red sauce. This is so delicious. It doesn't even need meat. The vermicelli rice is cooked well and flavored, not too soft or mushy. Such a generous bowl. I even had leftovers. Great for a meatless meal. Naya has multiple locations. This is one of the first times I've seen authentic Lebanese rice aka the vermicelli rice at a fast casual place like this. It was fluffy and had good flavor. Chipotle with Mediterranean food in New York City, but with only two indoor tables. Came here 3pm on a weekday and no line to get food. Pick your protein wrap or bowl: chicken shawarma, chicken shish Taouk, beef shawarma, Kafta lamb kebab, cauliflower, or falafel. I get the $12.40 chicken shawarma bowl with Feekah, a type of couscous. You can also get the bowl with white rice or lettuce. For toppings I get the yogurt/cucumber, chopped romaine, tomatoes, fresh cucumbers, red onion and parsley, green cabbage, Kalamata olives. I skip the following toppings: hummus, Toum garlic whip, Baba Ghannouj, feta cheese, Jalepeno peppers, pickled Lebanese cucumbers, pickled turnips, spicy green sauce, spicy red sauce, and lemon Tahini. They add pita bread in a plastic wrap afterwards. Food is served is immediately on the take out styro foam box, with a fair amount of delicious chicken. Only two indoor tables, one a communal 8 person table, and the other a 3 person table, occupied by a solitary male nursing a coke surfing the web on his phone next to the front door . The communal table has 3 people already on one end. One small two person outdoor table. Wife and I sit opposite each other sharing the one dish, when the 3 people leave, and soon are joined by 2 other strangers sitting down next to us. At least they don't have body odor. The lack of indoor seating is a severe disadvantage in rainy weather, especially with the record 11 inches of rain this last September. No dry place to sit outside without getting a wet bottom on your pants. There are other restaurants with comparable priced weekday luncheon specials with far more indoor seating. If you come here at lunch or dinner, don't expect a seat. Not a place for a hot date, as zero ambiance. read more

I had analysis paralysis, but luckily a NAYA evangelist was educating everyone in line about what she usually gets, so I went ahead and just got that. There's a bunch of sauces that can be added that all taste phenomenal. The falafel got a little dry but that's probably because it was delivered and not eaten on the spot. I've never had frekkeh before but it tastes very good with the bowl which also comes with a little bit of salad. I absolutely loved the baba ganoush, the feta, and pickled radish. I have come to Naya for lunch 3 times a week for 1.5 years while I was working around Columbus Circle and I can say that this place does not disappoint. Naya is my favorite Mediterranean fast food restaurant. This is better than Cava in my opinion and the service here is always fast. Usually around lunch time, there is a line out the door, but it moves very quickly trust me. You are able to go in also to pick up the food which is great if you do not want to wait in line. My go to for lunch here is the "Naya Bowl." I get it with "Vermicelli Rice" "Romaine Lettuce" "Falafel" and 2 scoops of "Hummus." The "Falafel" is quite delicious and flavorful. They pack you with 5 big pieces which is always filling. However, there are days the "Falafel" is burnt. I really enjoy the "Hummus" as it is not very salty or loaded with oil. Highly enjoy Naya and recommend it as a healthy lunch option to anyone working around that area! read more

Naya is one of those fast casual spots that have popped up all over the city. Naya is definitely one of the better ones that is for sure. I went with the falafel and lucky for me they came right out the fryer. They were very good and seem to be one of the more popular things on the menu. They also have a few different choices for meat. The chicken looked really good. If you like shawrama they also have that type of meat. It is on the heavier side but still works with the other flavors they have going on. I passed the baklava while checking out and being greek I had to try it. It was unique in that it was not sweet at all. It wasn't bad but it is served cold so the flavor didn't pop. Store was packed even in covid which is good to see. The staff was getting people in and out quick. I would definitely come back! read more

This place is a gem in the middle of Manhattan, it's very casual Lebanese food, basically a take-out with seating for maybe 12 people. It is a little bit in the style of Chipotle, but the food is a totally different level. It is only similar in the way that you choose a base (wrap or salad), a protein choice (I got Falafel) and unlimited toppings like hummus, cucumbers, babganoush, tabbouleh, etc. Overall, I thought this place was great and so reasonably priced compared to anything in the area, and a nice healthy fresh vegetarian choice. I'm not vegetarian, but I love vegetarian Lebanese food. I also ordered a "little tabboule" which was good but so heavy on the lemon juice that it was more bitter than I've ever tasted before. The service from the servers was great, but the cashier was on the phone and left a line of 3-4 waiting quite a bit longer than he should have....you could tell everyone in line to pay was getting annoyed as he was on his phone...they might have lost a few customers over that. A few people in line were about to just leave the food and walk out. However, I judge a place mainly on the food, and if it's casual I don't care about the service, it would be the same if it was a very busy night. As soon I stepped into NYC, tired, hungry, and in the mood for some fast casual food, I made a beeline to NAYA. The chicken shawarma rice bowl with the garlic whip is my go-to. There's something about the rice that is perfect in texture and taste. The chicken is good, as with most Middle Eastern restaurants, and the garlic whip is my favorite part of the meal. I will be asking for extra garlic whip the next time I go. The toppings are good on the other side of the bowl than the rice, chicken, and garlic whip so they don't overpower them.
