I checked out Nayan Threading for the first time on Monday, 10/7/2024, during my lunch hour, and it was a pleasant experience. I've hesitated to try out new threading places since I would only go to a shop near my old place. After searching on Yelp, I decided to try out Nayan since it was closer to my home. I walked in and was greeted. I checked in using the self-check-in iPad, where you indicate your service(s) and who you would like to do your threading with. I got my eyebrows ($10) and upper lip ($6) done. Fortunately, I did not have to wait for too long and was seated in the second chair. The threading was great for my upper lip (though it was a bit painful due to the area). However, my eyebrows weren't as clean as I would have liked. My eyebrows are tattooed, so they follow the shape, but there were a few miscellaneous hairs above my eyebrow that could have been threaded (which I tweezed at home). The lady was kind and asked me a few questions here and there, and I enjoyed my mini eyebrow massage when I said yes to the aloe vera. I then paid and tipped her in cash. Updated Prices as of October 2024 Eyebrows - $10 Upper Lips $6 Lower Lips $2 / Forehead $6 / Neck $6 / Side $9 / Chin $6 / Cheeks $6 / Middle $3 / Half Face $25 / Full Face $30 One thing that I did want to mention is that I did get one pimple towards the front of my left eyebrow on the very next day after my threading. It was a deep, big, under-the-skin type of pimple, and I typically don't get this kind of pimple in that area of my eyebrow. I've never had any breakouts from threading before, so it was just interesting to me. It could have been a coincidence, but I'm not sure so just hoping this doesn't happen again in the future. Tip: If you check into Yelp, you can get a coupon for $2 off Full Face Threading. Overall, I will still be returning, and hopefully, this will be my new go-to place.

This is my 2nd time coming here and Suni is so quick. I've gone to other locations and hate waiting. Here there isn't a wait. They do a great job! Suni does my upper lip threading and under arm waxing. I feel barely any pain. Just checked in on Yelp and I can't wait to use my $2 off the next time I come.

Took a piece of my eyebrow and on top told me I had a bald spot. Never!!!!! The worst is knowing my eyebrows have never had one before.....

sabina did my brows and I love them! she was super careful and attentive, I've never had somebody take so much time to thread my brows. she was also super sweet and would check in with me to make sure I liked how they were coming out. I was nervous because I almost always go to kaya beauty near costco, but I decided to try a new place, and I'm glad I did!

This place is my new eyebrow salon!!! My friend recommended me to come try this place out when it first opened and I've been coming here ever since. My eyebrows come out exactly how I want them every time I come to get them done. I have gotten my eyebrows done by both of the ladies that work there. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded by Kalpu for probably a year or more now and she has completely transformed my eyebrows! Kalpu pays close attention to detail when threading and is very gentle. I always walk in and never have to wait more than 10 minutes and parking is easy in the plaza! Best eyebrow threading ever! read more

I came here on 5/10, it's a very clean place. When my mom and I got there there was no one so we checked in and they did our eyebrows right away. 3 people got there after us and I felt like the lady was rushing. I did ask her to slow down. She did thin out my eyebrows (the lady in chair to towards the back) personally I did not like them. My mom did get the first lady as soon as you walk in and they thinned out her eyebrows REALLY REALLY bad as well. We both asked to just get our brows cleaned not touch the shape, but that's not what they did. Also the light in there is very dim, I'm not sure if that helps or not read more

If I could give 10 out of 5 stars, I would. This salon is very clean and the threading technicians are very friendly and professional. This business is about 20 miles from where I live, but I happily make the trip to be threaded by Kalpu. She's been doing my eyebrows since she was at a different location years ago and as long as she's within an hour of me, I'll remain her loyal customer. She will find your natural shape and fine tune it. A perfectionist. Its tough to find such a fine establishment like this one. I highly reccommend them to anyone who is very particular about their brows and facial hair. read more

Reasonably priced eyebrow threading ($8). Good service, didn't have to wait long. They are allowing walk-in's again! Tara wiped the seat down and sanitized her hands between clients. Plenty of parking in the huge lot. Just what I was looking for! read more

As someone who exclusively waxes her brows, I have always been a little weary of threading. Every time I have threaded, I have found it to be too painful for the results I wanted. I don't know what made me walk in to Nayan today, but I'm sure glad I did because I was impressed. I was greeted and was able to be seated right away, and I found the process to be quick and relatively painless. My attended, I forgot to catch her name, was friendly and gentle, especially after I told her of my rather negative experiences with threading in the past. I was so impressed with how good my brows looked once finished, I couldn't stop looking at them in the mirror. The brows look clean and defined, and my skin didn't look irritated afterwards. However, I think the best part of finding Nayan is the price. I paid $7 for my brows and $4 for my upper lip, that is a complete steal. I was also given a coupon for my next visit. I'm so grateful for the work that was done, definitely will be back. If you are looking for friendly attendants, a clean work space, great prices, and beautiful results, Nayan is the perfect spot to go to. read more

I was told this was a good threading place. Told suni that I'm trying to grow out my eyebrows and I just wanted a cleaning...specifically told her what hairs I wanted to keep so they can be symmetrical. She took them off and ruined my eyebrows. I wanted an upper lip threading- she told me to wax instead would be better. She tore off my skin. So now I have a mark on my skin after the wax. She also blew on the wax to cool it down. in times of covid, I do not want someone blowing on the wax that they will put on my face which can introduce new bacteria on my face. I'm very peeved and won't be coming back here. read more

Got my eyebrows threaded here for the first time & had an amazing experience. Very welcoming and I loved that the she listened to my request & didn't make my eyebrows super thin & most importantly actually took her time to do my eyebrows even though she had clients waiting, which is the reason I won't go back to Ellie's in Whittier whenever she had clients waiting she would rush and leave me looking the same. Biggest mistake you could make as a business owner in my opinion, quality over quantity. Will be coming here from now on even if I have to drive a little further. I have to add she was also very gentle, I'm usually very sensitive when I get threading especially my upper lip and I didn't feel a thing! read more

They're finally open!!! I've been coming here for 3 years now. Sunni is the one I absolutely trust with my eyebrows. While Kalpu does a good job too, I've always liked the way Sunni shapes my eyebrows just a tiny bit more. The ladies at Nayan always take care of my threading needs. They listen to how you won't your brows done and they take their time and don't rush their job, even if customers are waiting. They've also got a loyalty program so after about 10(I think) visits, you'll get a free threading. Prior to covid, there'd be a small message on your eyebrows and head area with some aloe vera, but I guess to reduce contact they've stopped that. Makes sense, but I totally looked forward to that lol. Either way, I'm glad they're able to open up again. read more

Came here as a walk in for my eyelashes. I had booked and appointment at Run May in Atlantic but they refused to put my lashes because they said my eyes were twitching too much. I have really sensitive eyes so anything they add such as glue really irritates them. I'm so happy I found this place last minute because I needed the dramatic look for my birthday ! I'm so happy that I found this place! This is my new go-to threading spot. I am extremely picky about how I like my eyebrows done and the ladies at Nayan Threading always do a spectacular job. I have been threaded by both Kalpu and Suni - and both ladies do a great job. They both are super friendly, personable, and pay great attention to detail. I felt very comfortable during my entire visit. Other threading studios in the area tend to lack friendly service and don't make an effort to connect with their customers - but Kalpu and Suni always make me feel welcome. The studio is also very clean and the pricing is affordable. I would definitely recommend this threading studio and wish nothing but the best for this new business! read more

Let me start of by saying that I have MAJOR trust issues with people doing my eyebrows. I've had awful experiences in the past that have left me traumatized. I was going through yelp and found this place. Commuted from Lakewood to Montebello, but let me tell you that it was worth the trip. I definitely recommend this place. OMG I LOVE KALPANA! I came in during my lunch and as soon as I came in she greeted me and someone was waiting and they let me go ahead of them because I told her I was on my break and she literally did an amazing job threading my brows! She is one of the few people I know with an amazing hand! I didn't even feel the threading! Well.. due to this pandemic i hadn't got my eyebrows done in months . Coming here ,I was nervous to try somewhere new but i definitely don't regret it . I came in for a full face threading . I am in the same situation as one of the other customers who let their eyebrows grow only for them to really mess it up. I let my eyebrows grow for over two months and when I went in I asked "I want to shape my eyebrows but nothing too thin." Well instead of shaping it, she literally just threaded my hair into a straight line with no shape and to make it worse, it's not even with both eyebrows so I have two wonky lines as eyebrows. She didn't make them thin but she completely messed up the shape of the eyebrows so now I am forced to again let them regrow. I've had my eyebrows done by Kalpu/Suni before and she did great...but honestly don't go to anyone else. read more

I went to Kaya Threading In Rosemead for almost 2 years, they started off doing good eyebrows but with each visit they made me eyebrows thinner, uneven and at one point even threaded off too much and left me a patch. Ever since then I have been jumping from place to place trying to find somewhere where they would take their time and make my eyebrows even again, but no one ever did. They would ignore my request to try and work around the patch and make them even and just do what they wanted. I'm so happy that I found Nayan Threading !!! Kalpu is AMAZING! She fixed not only my eyebrows but also my brothers and dads. She listens to what you want and I guarantee that you will leave happy and with a nice little massage. This is my new spot ! read more

Found this place during the pandemic. The nice lady who always did my eyebrows left my eyebrows perfect ALWAYS. Went back again 2 weeks ago the usual lady was not there. They had a young lady with amazing eyebrows so I figured she knew what she was doing. When she finished she said, I'm sorry I'm new here. That's when I knew. I think they should let you know if someone is going to be practicing on you before they start. I felt it was unprofessional. She left me with two separate types of eyebrows different lengths. The girl that split my eyebrow in 2 separates one was fast and a pro. I used to come here before they switched owners a few months ago the Latina girl was A pro too, the only thing is it's so hot in there. They need to turn the AC on high!!. The last owners would have it feeling so cool and had cold water for customers. But besides sweating like a pig in the shop they are good with that string. Pros read more

Unfortunately I moved away from my original lady and have been on the hunt for a good eyebrow place. I didn't like how my eyebrows were done first but I was desperate, in the area and figured everyone deserves a second chance. That wasn't the case for me. There is nothing more horrifying than your eyebrow shape being reshaped!!! I wanted to cry so bad and lady just kept saying it's better and would cut me off as I'm trying to say what I want (I mean I think I would know my brows). Never again will I step foot in this establishment and manifest an eyebrow person. I gave 3 stars only because of my first experience. read more

I'd go to Jackie and KK the most but back then Anju did a good job. After a while, I'd go to KK exclusively because she knew EXACTLY how I liked my brows and was always consistent. I'd go with my grandma, who would usually go to KK or Anju or Jackie. Well, she had to stop going to Anju because Anju would leave her eyelids cut up more often than not. I had already stopped going with Anju because she messed up on me a few times and didn't really listen when I'd tell her what I wanted. I knew her personally for so many years, so I just let it slide and would go to KK. I also understood why my grandma would stop going (she also had fewer hairs to remove with age). I moved to San Francisco, so I would only come here when I was in town visiting family. I'd make the effort to come in once a month to maintain my shape. But then I started to notice that KK was there less frequently. All of a sudden, she's gone. Why is this suspicious? Well KK is a sweetheart and for a while, she basically helped Anju run the place. She handled the phone, payments, services, and cleanup. Some days there was even a line because everyone was waiting for KK, so Anju and another woman (not Jackie) had no work. They often seemed annoyed about it. After seeing reviews about Anju in the recent years, this makes sense. It just feels weird to see reviews about customers being told KK was fired. I, too, was told she went back to school or went on vacation. This can only hold up so long, I guess. So, then they started to tell people she was fired. When I was first told she went back to school I was confused. I talked to KK for years and knew she was in school, so I figured she decided to go back full time. Then I saw reviews saying she went on vacation. So, I called back out of curiosity and was told the "she's on vacation" line. Weird. I miss KK and still haven't found someone as gentle, precise, and kind as her. She was always so sweet and even during the pandemic she's cover up and make sure to keep her hands clean. Anju has always been so kind to me and my grandma, but I've seen her and the business change over the last few years. She seems far less into it now and I'm so sad to see it reflected in her and this once great salon.

I went in asking for a simple eyebrow clean-up. That's it. Just a tidy up around my natural shape…read more Somehow that turned into my eyebrows being thinned out to the point where they barely exist anymore. I'm honestly shocked at how badly this was done. I had full, natural brows before -- all they needed was a little shaping. Instead, she took off way too much and completely ignored the natural shape of my brows. They're now uneven and ridiculously thin. I left the salon staring at myself in the mirror wondering how a "clean up" turned into a full-on over-plucking disaster. For reference, the photo I'm posting is WITH eyebrow gel, and they still look sparse. Without it? Even worse. Eyebrows take months to grow back, so this isn't just a minor mistake -- it's something I'm going to be dealing with for a long time. If you value your eyebrows and only want a light clean up, I would seriously think twice before coming here. Extremely disappointed.

My usual eyebrow lady does them within 15 minutes or less and it seemed to have doubled at this location; she was very slow and the job somehow was worse. She was hesitant to trim the ends, which is something that I always have done by my original eyebrow lady. My eyebrows were uneven as one was arched and the other was curved so I had to tell her to trim the ends or take off more above the arch. She had to go back in several times and each time she failed to do what I asked her. My eyebrows were 3 weeks grown out and I could literally see my shape yet she failed to see it. I left unsatisfied and tried to clean them up with tweezers afterwards.

Parking is not the easiest thing to find unless you park above or below the plaza, so parking in front of the area can be a bit difficult. So, service... I was asked to sit at one of the stations and then I told the person that I wanted them to be cleaned up and shaped but to leave it on the thicker side so I can continue to shape them in the future. Well, she cut some of the hairs, which is standard. Then she threaded lightly above the brow only to clean it up and not shape it. Then she barely cleaned up the arch area and asked if I was ok with the service. Honestly, I could have cleaned up with tweezers, but whatever. So then she does the same thing on the other side. And that was it. She didn't thread them to the point they were shaped, they looked barely cleaned up but there was no finesse to them. I don't think I'll go back. I truly wanted to like them. I went there because I saw the pictures so I figured they'd do a decent service. It was meh or sub-par at best. 3 stars because of the business cleanliness and sanitation practices.

I came to Nayan Threading a couple of days ago, and I'm truly satisfied. Not only is it super clean and professional. The service is amazing! my threader(Kalpu) took a good amount of time on my eyebrows and gave me a good surprise when she gave me a massage on my forehead and temples, Which was so soothing. I also loved that she wasn't so quiet. Usually, in a lot of salons, the threaders will not really communicate. But Kalpu made me feel comfortable and had good communication with me. When she finished both my Eyebrows + Lip she showed me, and I was so impressed she did amazing on my eyebrows! Very neat, clean, and exactly the way I wanted them to be! Nayan Threading is definitely my new favorite, and will now be my go-to threading salon. I recommend to everyone. read more

Let me just say, WOW! I've been going to the same aesthetician for over 15 years so I was nervous of trying anyone different. I've always been waxed but wanted to try threading. I've heard great things about threading and what sold me was my mom referring me to this business after showing me her result. We went today and literally I'm so impressed! So nice and clean, no after burning, Swelling or redness, not only that, I have 2 different brows ( one has a scar) and she managed to get both the same. Shape is amazing and I'm such a picky person. Definitely will refer more people. Shes super sweet and the cutest thing l!!!! This is so worth it! read more

I love this place, I came here for the first time yesterday to do my eyebrows and to try it out. When I got there the place was so neat and clean. Kalpu was so generous she did exactly like I told her to and she even gave me a little massage afterward. I also ended up doing henna and the Designs are so beautiful. I been there before and I never had a problem but I went today and the lady in the first chair did a horrible job. I asked for a clean up and she left me with very thin eyebrows. It took me months to let them grow to a nice length and now imma have to start all over again. And on top of that she gave me attitude and told me to next time go with a different person.
