Not a good doctor for business practices. She and her assistant told me that they scheduled me for smart lipo and that I didn't show up a year ago and refuses to schedule me now. When the facts are they didn't schedule me for surgery because I had issues with my blood work and had to get cleared from my hemo dr and we also talked about gastro surgery and dr scaff said I could do gastro first loose weight then do the smart lipo. Wow!!! I would steer clear from this office!! I had my surgery scheduled for tomorrow at 9:30am for leaky implant removal. The office called me at noon today to tell me my surgery was bumped up to the 7:30am and needed to be there at 5:30am. First of all, I live alone and have no family to assist me. I explained to the front desk (very calmly even though frustrated) that it's less than 24hours from my surgery and trying to rearrange my schedule with my jobs and my friends schedule might be tricky. Front desk said the dr wanted to call me from the hospital. Dr called me and was incredibly unprofessional and rude. She was condescendingly telling me how her day would be messed up with her patients (even though that didn't make sense cuz I was scheduled until 2pm). She said the scheduler at the hospital goes out of her way for her and she needed to oblige. She was yelling at me saying I attacked her from the very beginning. This was in regards to my first consultation with her, she was only concerned with my medical coverage and didn't explain anything about the procedure. When I asked her what size my breasts would be approx after implants were removed, her response was "I don't have a crystal ball". I should've listened to my gut then. When we found out the procedure would be entirely covered and I called the office to schedule, I asked "the front desk girl" if the dr would be explaining the procedure to me as the only concern at first appt was my insurance coverage--- only factual information. Then she said "this is dr doudikian" and proceeded to unnecessarily defend herself about our first encounter. She reassured me that I'd know more about the procedure on next visit and I thought we moved passed it. Her bedside manner was definitely uncomfortable but I gave her a chance. Our next appt seemed like it went well and I felt better. I explained how my mother passed of breast cancer at 57 and I raised my sister--she seemed more compassionate... Fast forward back to today...Not once was there an ounce of compassion for me, that I was the one getting cut in to tomorrow morning and now i needed to rearrange everything planned out already--i have a dog that i needed to make sure she was cared for. she said it's normal to have a surgery rescheduled and I said well I've had 3 other surgeries and they never called me less than 24 hours away to change the time. She was only concerned about herself. She was telling me that I was attacking her as she was yelling and wouldn't even let me finish a sentence. She said we are obviously not meshing and I'm not the surgeon for you. I said well that's really unfair and you're right I don't feel comfortable having someone with this energy cut into me, although I couldn't finish the sentence because she was yelling and talking over me the whole time. I said wow this is very unprofessional and I've never had a dr speak to me in this manner then she hung up on me. So I guess I'm not having surgery, after this has been planned for months. I've had appts after appts, bruises from 10 plus vials of blood taken, ... I'm so upset!! All for nothing now. I'm so disgusted by this unprofessional encounter and highly suggest you stay away from someone like this. She said she can't get people to work for her, now I understand why. I have managed and worked in customer service for over half of my life-I would never speak to nor treat someone the way she did me. Dr. Doudikian-Scaff is a wonderful doctor. She was referred to me years ago for breast reduction surgery and then when I decided to get an augmentation she did mine. She is super caring and does an excellent job. She generally cares for her patients and I would highly recommend her. When I need to have my breasts replaced in 10 years, I will be coming back to her. While no surgical procedure is small, she treated me with compassion and respect, and performed the procedures perfectly. She saw me once to see what was needed, and at the second visit, the procedures were performed. They have healed perfectly, and you would never know the surgery had been performed. Horrible, inept front desk workers. Been dealing with an issue since Febuary, at my initial consultation I explained this. The doctor seemed empathetic to the situation and told me that once I get authorization and call to make an appointment, it would be about 1 week to get the second appointment for my procedure. I actually waited a few weeks, no big deal as I understand busy. Today, Aug 4 was my appointment date for the procedure. Upon arriving the front office idiot had informed me they thought this was a follow up and cant do it at this time, they asked that I come back at 3pm, my appointment was set for 10am, I drove 22 miles, almost an hour to get denied. I cannot say ENOUGH about how appreciative of Dr. Doudikian-Scaff I am. I first encountered her when a friend who had been a long-time patient of her's didn't follow post-op instructions and ended up in the hospital. I was immediately impressed with her frankness and also her advocacy for her patient. When I decided it was time for a skin removal after a major weight-loss, I went in. I had several other consults, but Dr. Doudikian-Scaff was the one I was most comfortable with. Not only did I prefer her, but her staff was terrific as well. Unfortunately, like an idiot, I second guessed myself and three weeks before my surgery, I changed to another surgeon at the urging of my dermatologist. I'm sure you can all guess how that turned out. I was left with flaps of skin on sides that hung over my hips (think permanent muffin top), a dog -eared scar, and an oversized belly button that was off center. I decided to swallow my pride and go back to Dr. Doudikian-Scaff. She was very reassuring, and never once made me feel like the dumb-a** I clearly was. She did a complete scar revision and excision of additional skin, as well as moving my belly-button back in place. This process required three procedures and a total of about 5.5 hrs. There are several things that impress me and put her on a level above her peers. She strives for perfection, while understanding that plastic surgery is an imperfect art. She genuinely wants her patients to have the best possible results and to be completely satisfied. Dr. Doudikian-Scaff is also just very "real." I appreciate that she's easy to talk with, relates to her patients, and while confident, direct, and efficient, I never once felt frustrated or unheard. In closing, I would say that I am indebted to Dr. Doudikian-Scaff... except for the fact that I paid her (which was reasonable and in-line with other consults)! Seriously though, I'm so thankful for her and her dedication and wouldn't hesitate to refer friends to her practice to help them feel their best. read more

I was referred by former patient of hers and was told to come in for a consultation. She was over an hour late seeing me and I was not told about what I feel is a RIDICULOUSLY high fee. They charged my insurance $320 and when they couldn't get that covered, I got a bill that is now past due. Did I mentioned this was only a consultation? I went to her for the 1st time when I was 30 because my x-husband had gotten me a gift certificate for Botox that I wanted to start early as a preventative alternative to aging! Dr Doudikian Scaff is fantastic surgeon and a life saver with botox and filler. She is doing reconstruction for me but during the process I asked her about the vertical lines on my upper lip and whether or not botox could help (I've asked two other surgeons who said they had to be lasered and only 50% chance of fixing it). She said she could and SHE DID. I am loving my upper lip...I actually have an upper lip now and very few vertical lines. It's amazing!! read more

I am extremely upset to see the bad reviews regarding Dr. Doudikian- Scaff and personally don't believe them for a second. There are always multiple sides to one story and some of the people reviewing weren't even involved in the direct incident that was "so upsetting". I have known her for years as she was the doctor that performed my mother's bilateral breast mastectomy and reconstruction about 10 years ago and recently her breast revision surgery. She is the definition of a doctor with stellar bedside manner and someone that truly cares about their work and their patients. When my mother was upset about her cancer diagnosis and losing her breasts she gave her some cosmetic touches to lift her spirits. When she had her revision surgery she talked me through how best to care for my mom and even gave us her cell phone number while she was on a family vacation to make sure she was accessible to us since my mother's surgery was more intense than originally anticipated. I work in the medical field and have worked with and seen my fair share of bad healthcare professionals. All I can say is from first impression on she has been and is an amazing doctor and I will continue to sing her praises. We want to thank Dr. Doudikian for her amazing work and how she took care of my mom. She is one amazing doctor and her surgeries with my mom have been very successful. She was very prompt with her surgery schedules and and most importantly she took her time after surgery to talk to the family and explain everything to us.
