This was the venue used for the Hapalua Half Marathon race expo in 2026. It was easy to find near the intersection of Kapiolani Blvd and Ward Ave. If you want to walk, the distance from Waikiki is about 2 miles. If not, you can take either the #2 or #13 bus. The venue was clean, spacious, and more than adequate to handle the size of the race expo. However, it was definitely showing its age.

Have enjoyed our experiences at the Blaisdale Center. First of all it's easy to park, which is close to the concert hall. There are drink and food venders outside for pre show snacks. Seats are easy to find and comfortable. We've never had bad seats there for viewing the different shows whether it was a musical or performance by a bad or musician. The only fault I can find is they need more bathroom stalls for women.

Went to many events - latest one was Lifesurge. It was well organized. Good air conditioning. Busier than I expected but still got a good seat. Enjoyed the Benham brothers talk on their success.

I attended Foodie Con 2024 and was so happy I did! I got to taste so many different places I did not know about on the island! It was crowded, but not so crowded that you were being pushed everywhere. People are very nice and accommodating! But lots of things that I probably didn't need lol! But enjoy the fair and probably will be back again next year. Would have really loved a map of the listing of vendors and where they were located!

Went to the Hawai'i Market Expo / trade show at the NBC. Long lines were kept organized with bordered and poled walk in ribbons barriers. Area was clean outside and inside. Lots of parking available but at a price $8.00. Security all over the event outside and inside.

What a difference a year makes!! A year ago my review was for my COVID vaccine!! Now I'm here for Foodie Con gathering all vendors food and food related lovers unite together in one roof with no restrictions for all to feast and support local. Here with my bestie we ate at Island Sausage she loved it so much had four this day lol!, French Macarons from Nature Macarons, Strawberry Lemonade and Matcha Lemonade at I "heart" Buns, Vegan Tofu Katsu at Peace Cafe, I spun the wheel and got a tote from Costco while she purchased a bamboo cutting board and did a load of shopping it was a retail therapy day and beyond. Normalcy is something we did take for granted and supporting local here is a great feeling, thank you to everyone that made it so much fun!! Thank you!

AMERICA! My husband bought us tickets so yes I'll go! Little did I know pitbull was performing same night one door over! Ahhhh it's ok I still enjoyed myself. Sitting next to someone who smelled like a brewery. He was toasted before America came on. I had water my husband.had a cup of beer. Overall the concert hall was alright. Seats are like the old theater seats. 1 thing I would tell them to improve is the temperature. As more people entered you can feel the cold air getting warm, warmer and just not cool enough. It got better towards the end of the night 4 stars for it was ok but I think I would've enjoyed pitbull!!! Lol

I just want to give a HUGE shout out to the ladies directing traffic in the women's restroom! They keep the line going and flowing. There is no guessing if the stall is in use or if you're about to miss the end of intermission. THANK YOUUUUUUUUU!!

They had a function for Great Aloha Run and A seniors fair which was very interesting and informative with lots of company selling running shoe to hydration products pretty much everything a runner could be looking for. They also had some items for seniors needing Medicare information and some health products. They have an Area area at that time the Greatest Circus was going on. The convention center was for the Great Aloha Run and Senior fair. The concert hall did not have anything going on good thing or parking would have been a problem. The ponds outside is brackish water so there were some large ulua and parrot fish and mullets and a huge barracuda and lots of tilapia.

The Neal S. Blaisdell Center ("Blaisdell" or "NBC") built before I was born, was formally known as Honolulu International Center ("HIC"), located next to McKinley High School, before both the school and Ala Moana Shopping Center going eastward. I have a lot of memories of this multi-purpose arena, going to various concerts, graduations, expos farmer's markets and shows, and still making memories going to many events this year. Lots of parking, but it is currently $8 for each event, or you can be lucky and find metered parking on the street.

Ask the Community - Neal S Blaisdell Center

Where is good handicapped parking at Blaisdell?

All Handicap Stalls are located first level of the parking structure towards the middle section.

    Places to eat nearby?

Asahi Grill, Jack in the Box, McDonald's, Akira's Japanese, Morio's Sushi

Best place to park? other than Blaisdell Center, next Friday night

At the parking garage on the Diamond Head side of the building, used for both the Center and Concert Hall, last time it was $8:00 for event parking.

    Parking is it only cash?

I am not 100% sure it's cash only. I am sure I saw a few people handing a card to pay one time... I bring cash though. Rates went up so it's now $8 for event parking.

Where is the best place to drop off and pick up a handicapped person?

The best place would usually be by the roundabout, located by the Exhibition Hall on Ward Ave - closest to the main Box Office.…

Security was posted within the audience seated throughout the concert. The ac was strong. An older crowd in the audience. The row in front of us had their heads bobbing to the music. The performer had local guests sing a duet with him, had BYU choir on stage, the Honolulu symphony Orchestra plus his own band performing. Glad there were two large screens to see Josh Groban sing. Helps when large and tall people sit in front of you at the last possible moment. Felt almost like a gospel vibe to me but could be cuz I was not familiar with the majority of his songs.

It's so off and confusing to where it's at. But, it is a decent place to have most events! If it's for a concert... Like we just went to for UB40? UH DUH!!! TOTALLY % YES!!! Why? Cause you'll be able to enjoy the show and SEE IT from the seats your in rather than watch los rod it ON A JUMBO SCREEN. Plus too, there are different choices of seating. Most people love the UPPER LEVELS. Yet, the stairs are a killer! AND... NO BARS so everything is balance and grace. But if your like me who USE TO LOVE IT, but don't anymore cause you worry your legs will give... well, there's the ground floor that has bleachers of seats. The seats are so much better NOW than they were before. So, highly recommend the ground floor for those who refuses to walk up stairs. Then there's the lodges. K those are GREAT, yet, my fear is falling OVER the ledge. And the stairs you MIST WALM UP to get there too! Lol! It's been a while since I've sat in this arena for anything. I think the last time was for a concert back in 2013! LADIES OF THE 80's with the hubby. Hehehe there were so much hubbies there that night. It was unbelievable! Anywho... great place to be at for events, concerts and whatnot. But terrible place to use heels and tight clothes (if you know what I mean) Oh! Prices varies with type of events and I truly honestly believe it's absolutely RIDICULOUS sometimes. However, I get it, bills must be paid and people must be bought to make the event go smoothly! Okie dokes artichokes! Have a good one and mahalo for reading... CIAO!

I wanted to do something totally different for our 28th Wedding Anniversary. We sat on the over 21 side (the alcoholics side) as they were affectionately known throughout the night . We chose this side only because it had a better angle to the stage. We got there really early but didnt need to really. We were first in line at the express entrance because we bought a Groupon for the concert.. There is really no need to arrive early and line up for hours we discovered unless you really really want to sit right down the front on the cement step near the stage. There is more than ample room to put your blanket down and relax and watch the show and the stage can be seen from anywhere. We sat on the first path half way up the hill just near the sound desk and it was perfect. By the end of the night though we had a lot of people standing on the path behind us but that didnt happen until about 11.30pm. I am a watcher and I watched the ample ample amount of security guards, no one seemed to be misbehaving even on the 'alcoholics side' and everyone was having a great time dancing and singing. You cannot repeat CANNOT take in anything other than a blanket. I bought 2 stadium seat thingys with the padded seat and back attached from Walmart for $18, they were well worth it as we sat on the grass for 7 hours and hardly got a 'numb bum'...... Each bag is checked thoroughly, every zipper was open and searched. Large backpacks are not allowed in and what was allowed in were completely searched as well. The drinks were overpriced, water, sodas were $3 each but the food was reasonable. 2 Hawaiian plates, rice with salad and chicken or chili franks were $8 each so not too bad. We didnt have any alcohol so not sure of the price, but previous yelpers say it was expensive. They were selling the large cans of Bud Light and looks like mixed drinks as well. Overall it was a fantastic night. If you dont want the noisy revelers sit on the under 21 family side but if you want an alcoholic drink you cant go back over till its all gone!

Food & Drink The…read morebetter half of the world food tour duo had other plans, so I invited my sister-in-law to see Stanley Jordan. We chose a table on the upper level on the right side of the center section. This gave us good views of the stage and no one in front of us blocked our views. We ordered double Hendricks gin & tonics, a Caesar Salad, Portobello Arrabbiata, and the Jidori Coconut Basil Chicken. Interestingly, the pasta dish didn't have any portobello mushrooms; it featured pieces of Maitake mushrooms. Like before, the pasta was somewhat overcooked, but the spicy marinara sauce was fine. The chicken half came with what tasted like plain rice sitting in a coconut cream sauce. The rice was described as crispy cilantro lime rice ... I don't think so. Our biggest complaint about the chicken was that it was slightly overdone ... My leg was fine, but the breast meat was dry. We passed on dessert and I had a cup of black coffee. Food rating: 3+. The Concert I've followed Stanley Jordan for a long time and have many of his albums, starting with Magic Touch in 1985. That CD opened my ears to a different style of guitar playing. I thought I was a guitarist .... No, I'm a hack. Stanley, now 66, played his Vigier (a French guitar), another one whose name I couldn't see, and a grand piano during his 1.5-hour set. I wasn't able to check out his pedal setup. If you haven't heard him play, you are missing out on a virtuoso of improvisational jazz. Trained as a pianist, he plays with both hands, on one guitar or two. He played two songs seated at the piano and switched hands during each ... All while singing. His set included Yesterday, Eleanor Rigby, My Funny Valentine, and a couple of songs from his forthcoming album, Feather in the Wind. The Blue Note is perfectly suited for small scale / solo performances by artists like Stanley Jordan. Highly recommended! Concert rating: 5+.
