It's still 5 stars, but I'm updating my review in this time of Covid. I love this place! Where else can you get a burger on a grain-free bun at 8 am?! They have adapted their business very nicely in these trying times. Most of the parking lot is set up for al freso dining (park across the street by the train tracks!), utensils are bundled up into napkins, and water is no longer self-serve. Besides the steak bowl, I have now had the steak tacos, chips with guac, the Boss burger, and the breakfast hollandaise egg dish served on weekends only, along with various Paleo or Keto desserts, and Americanos. I'll even get the french fries, as they are fresh cut and cooked in avocado oil. The ingredients are quality.... most places use vegetable oils, which for me are highly inflammatory. I love that I can have a Treat Meal and order freely here. Service is friendly per usual, even when they are super busy. Customers mind their 6-ft bubble, even when it is very crowded. If you dine-in, they still bring your order to you. The hardest thing is knowing when your drink is ready at the bar. It's very difficult to hear them call your name (actually they forgot my drinks on two occasions so my name was never called haha). Overall, I am super happy this restaurant exists! One of my favorite healthy spots in town, and it's always on point for a nice light meal. We've tried everything from the falafel tacos, to the burger, the crispy chicken salad (which is one of my personal faves!), the chicken & waffles, and the steak bowl with butternut squash noodles..another favorite! They also have great smoothies & coffee. The best smoothie I've had is the nectarine smoothie, which is a seasonal special at the moment (in August 2022) and I'm hoping they keep it around! All of their pastries and breads are Gluten free (along with all of the food items, as well). And the cinnamon roll is like...the best ever. I have to restrain myself from getting it more often! Food was super good! I got chicken and waffles and my wife got a chicken salad. It was all cooked great, but they definitely don't provide enough maple syrup for the chicken and waffles. I asked for more and he brought some and proceeded to tell me that they normally charge extra but here you go. Then, I heard a lady next to us ask for more butter and he said it's extra. Sorry but that's lame to pay $18-$20 a plate and tip but still have to pay extra for butter and syrup. Let it go! read more

Why does it seem like over the last 12-18 months businesses across the board have become almost entirely incompetent? I ordered take out (in person) that consisted of two items (see attached picture). Very simple. After driving an hour round trip to get there and back I arrived home to discover one of the items was completely wrong. Certainly frustrating in any circumstance, however after skipping breakfast, driving a long distance, and not having any food in the house to eat instead...this one really stung. I will point out that I did call and they refunded this portion of the order, but only after I requested it. And, they did offer to comp me an item next time I'm in. That's not much consolation though given the amount of my time that was wasted and how far out of my way I would have to go again to take them up on that. Then I would be worried they'd mess it up again. Nah, just refund my entire order instead. "Why didn't you just eat the tacos?" Great question. I did attempt the tacos. However: 1. They were cold because of my long drive home (which is why I ordered cold items in the first place to avoid that) 2. The bite I took was flavorless. 3. I had to spit out the bite I took because the meat was fatty, gristly and inedible. Absolutely disgusting. Such a massive disappointment given that we have had a few good experiences here in the past. It will be a long time before I attempt this place again, if ever. read more

I don't typically use them as a destination place, but more of a "Oh crud I need this" and they are there. I got tired of the rashes on my body and the bad reactions, so I decided to search out gluten-free options for restaurants. This place has lots of paleo and gluten-free options. Paleo diet is actually very gluten-free friendly naturally, so it worked out for me. -grain-free eggs benedict, which was delicious and they were generous with the avocados. -matcha latte with almond milk - one word: Amazing. -Honey butter latte - wait, what? You read that right, butter in your coffee, you think it's weird? Try it and you'll be hooked. -Breakfast burrito - this is why they lost a star, it's so small for $7 and we were still so hungry after eating this entire burrito. -Breakfast waffle - this may sound simple and plain, but it's not! This is a paleo waffle topped with berries and maple pecans, served with a side of orange infused almond milk ricotta and coconut cream. This was heaven on a plate. -Cinnamon roll - this is not gluten free or paleo friendly, but my kids love it nonetheless. Another amazing experience at nectarine grove! This time we had the pesto pizza, fried chicken salad, and French fries! All were delicious. The pesto pizza we ordered with the vegan ricotta cheese and WOAH that was good. I often get nervous with dairy free cheese but this was delightful. The mix of flavors on this pizza were fantastic, the crust is the perfect consistency, and it may have been even better as leftovers the next day. The fried chicken salad was also delicious, I enjoyed the honey mustard dressing. Slightly less decadent (and healthier) than the chicken and waffles but I will say I enjoyed the chicken and waffles more than the salad. The fries were served in a giant shareable bowl and were delicious as well! My only complaint about nectarine grove is that there isn't a location closer to where I live... please please open one in Santa Barbara!!! :) read more

Only 1 normal & 1 handicap off street parking spots. Plenty of outside seating and some limited seating inside. This place can get very busy during prime breakfast/ brunch. Food is amazing tasty for being gluten free. A lot of food & drink options. I would recommend on going at off times to beat the crowds and Mayham. Will be back. read more

I have had this place on my list to try for ever & was so excited to finally stop in I ordered a breakfast burrito (felt like it was a safe bet), an iced latte, and my daughter got the kids quesadilla. For one, when I walked up to the counter the girl ignored me for a good 60 seconds while she continued laughing and chatting with another worker. He eventually asked her if she was going to take my order and she turned around and acted as if nothing happened. Second, the food in my opinion was nothing special from a taste perspective. I do appreciate that they use healthy ingredients, but for the price it shouldn't be absolutely imperative to use sauce to make it taste like something. I would overlook that and chalk it up to ordering wrong, but I have had a stomach ache for the last 2 days since eating there. I don't have a sensitive stomach or food allergies and I can count on one hand the amount of times I've felt like this. I read a few reviews on here saying the same, so not sure what that's about. Organic AND gluten free? Yes please! I'm obsessed with this place. Been here over 10 times now (both dine in and takeout) and hubby and I have loved everything we've gotten. So delicious and healthy! Their pesto pizza is easily my favorite pizza from anywhere, ever. We've also tried the chicken and waffles, breakfast tacos, chimichurri steak bowl, crispy chicken salad, and the BBQ chicken pizza. All very delicious! Their desserts are also amazing. Hard to believe they're gluten-free! It's not cheap but the prices are justified, as a place like this is a total rarity and you're getting super high quality food. When you think about it, the prices are similar to other "gourmet" cafes/restaurants that aren't organic. Service is always friendly too. I just wish it was closer to home. This restaurant is located on a busy street with limited parking. There's seating on the patio as well as inside. We had breakfast there around 9am on a Saturday so it was pretty busy. You place your order at the counter and they give you a number. I ordered the Veggie Pesto Scramble, which was big enough for two people to share. It had a great flavor and enough pesto not to overwhelm the dish. Our food came out fast and hot and the coffee was tasty, as well. This is a great place for families, friends and a casual date.
