Best pizza in the Milwaukee area. I really love the sauce. It taste sweet. Definitely recommend this place.

What can I say, I have been eating their pizza since 1969 and I traveled the world and never found anything close to the taste. The staff is great, all the food is great, and I love eating their food. I moved back from Vegas, just to have their pizza, I missed it so much. This IS it. The best thin-crust pizza in Milwaukee. Only possible competition is the original Zaffiro's on the East side of Milwaukee. These two establishments give you textbook examples of what great pizza should taste like, in my book. Ned's sauce is tangy and sweet at the same time, the best pizza sauce I've ever tasted. The crust is thin and crispy, the cheese is perfectly proportioned as far as the amount, and the toppings are generous. Their pepperoni has a nice kick to it if you enjoy a little spice. And unlike most pizza establishments, I've always brought their pizzas home warm whenever I've gotten carryout. Only two negatives I can think of, as others have mentioned, are the use of canned mushrooms and also that the price is a little steep. Even when using a coupon from their own coupon book, if you get a large 16" sausage and pepperoni pizza and a two-liter of soda, plan on spending more than $ 20 even with carryout. But when pizza is this good, it's worth it. They have the best thin crust pizza!! They really do a nice job of staying safe and keeping contact at a minimum during the pandemic.

My boyfriend got me hooked on Ned's shortly before we moved away from Milwaukee 3 years ago. No matter what time of day you go it's always got a decent crowd, and people seem to even come pick up a pizza to go even from far away. I like their cheese and sausage pizza with mushrooms and black olives. Their sauce has just the right amount of sweetness! I also enjoy their garlic cheese bread. But don't get it to go because it'll probably be soggy by the time you get home. read more

I was a huge fan of Neds, until today... in the past, I have visited my parents who live in Cudahy, WI and they have delivered to us no problem. Here visiting my parents again and we were craving some Ned's, called them to place our order and was told they do not deliver to us. We told them they have delivered to us in the past and they said " I checked with my manager, they said we do not" huh... that's funny. customer for 40 years! best sauce, real pizza ovens and flaky,crispy crust. oct 8th 2022 i ordered a pizza and the crust was what i think to be a frozen crust supplied by a outside vendor. i could barley cut the pizza with a knife. very disappointed! this was identical to anne's pizza whom i think is serving the same crust now. i no longer consider anne's to be my second choice to neds. i worked at pizza hut on loomis road 1968. all ingredients and dough were fresh made daily, (not frozen like they are now) we used to roll the dough, place in a metal baking pan and place a plastic cover on top, let it rise for 3 to 4 hours and (wal-a) a crispy flaky crust! don't cut corners, neds was the best! read more

Neds has been around a long time. I decided to give it another try. I can say honestly, I just don't get it!! The sauce is way too sweat for my pallet. It's also textured more like tomato paste. The crust is extremely thin and crispy which is not for me! I find it the equivalent of putting pizza toppings on saltine crackers. Everytime, the crust is too brown and way too thin. The cheese is overly browned. I like my cheese lightly browned with the color of mozzarella​ visible. I do like the flavoring of the sausage. Great spice, taste like fresh italian sausage. Still not sure what the all the fuss is about! My guess is Nostalgia because Neds was around way before most other pizza joints. Prices are too high for what you get! Neds was suggested to me by a fellow Yelper. I tried Neds thin crust pizza with cheese and chicken. First the thin crust - edges are nice and crispy. The crust is tasty - almost like a thick cracker! The tomato sauce is excellent - tastes fresh made.. not from a bulk bottle. The cheese is just plain cheese.. Nothing special about it. Not bad. The chicken pieces were not that great.. Not bad but not great. They were not fresh tasting. They seem to be some kind of premade Italian chicken breast, cut up and put on the pizza.. The service was excellent. Very friendly and very old world.. This is how restaurants were, prior to invasion of chains! The waitress was a friendly lady.. You will feel welcome - not because someone trained her to be but because the restaurant's culture is welcoming! I cannot say that this is as good as it gets.. but I did enjoy the pizza enough that I felt that it deserves 5 stars! read more

So disappointed! It's my first time in Milwaukee and I read some great reviews, so I couldn't wait to try it. It looked delicious when I picked it up, but when I tried it it was undercooked. The edges were slightly crispy, but about 3/4ths of it was soft. The cheese and toppings literally slides off the dough. And the toppings were uneven, they cut it into squares, and many of the edge pieces had only sauce...no cheese or toppings. I won't be going back. FYI...the sauce is too sweet for me. My girl( who is from Milwaukee) has fond memories of Ned's from high school. When we came back to town for a family wedding, we set up a dinner with all the cousins. I phoned a few times to make sure there would be room for us( 15ppl). I was surprised to see a table already set up and waiting when we walked in at 4pm. We had some coupons and thankfully, we weren't given any grief using multiple coupons. We had a couple appetizers, 4 large pizzas, sodas, and beer and with tax and a generous tip, dinner came out to 12.00 a person. What a bargain. The pizza was thin and crispy and came to use piping hot. The toppings were generous and the service was great. Too bad we don't have a Ned's in Socal!! read more

In my opinion, the best pizza in Milwaukee. Everything from the sweet sauce, to the flavorful sausage is excellent. The thin crispy crust is a perfect fit for this pizza. The mozzerella sticks are delicious along with the cheesy garlic bread. This place has been making pizza a long time and it shows when you suck your teeth into a piece. We always do carry out as the dining room is to cramped. Best pizza ever. Been eating this pizza as long as I can remember. Garlic bread is great when it's hot. Skip the dessert brownie. We stopped in the other day for lunch and ordered the lunch special with the 8" pizza, garlic bread and a soda. We waited a short time and our garlic bread came out. We waited for quite awhile and no pizza. Finally the waitress came over and said oh no I totally forgot your pizzas and we thought the order was put in twice so we ate your pizzas. So now we wait awhile longer and when the pizza came it was hot and tasted good. I once thought that Ned's was the best pizza in S.E. Wisconsin, but now that the originators and most of their good staff have retired or left, the pizzas don't taste as good and the ingredients are skimpier on the pie. If you're familiar with Chicago style thin crust don't waist you time here. This is certainly a style in it's own. The crust is odd not so crunchy but light powdery texture, the sauce is sweet and the cheese tasted funny. We ordered 3 pizzas with different ingredients and I felt like I was eating a $5 dollar generic precooked pizza. Ordered delivery on a Friday night. Girl on the phone was rude. Pizza was cold, soda was warm and they forgot our pesto bread. The bread was still on the bill though and the delivery guy suggested WE call the store to get it delivered. Since we weren't really interested in waiting another hour for the bread and eating it after we'd consumed the pizza, we asked to just have it taken off the bill. This resulted in awkwardly trying to figure out the new total as the delivery guy didn't know how to take it off the bill. The mushrooms were canned, which my husband likes, but I prefer fresh. Once heated up in the microwave the pizza was ok. I think if it was delivered hot it is probably some pretty tasty pizza but the overall experience left much to be desired. read more

This isn't a fancy place but the visit is worth it because the best thing about Ned's is the pizza! The minute I walk in to the place the scent of pizza makes my stomach growl and my mouth water. I order the regular thin crust pepperoni pizza. Oh my goodness, the crust is perfect and the sauce is delicious. Since moving to Milwaukee this year, Ned's is the best place I've found so far for really good pizza. The wait-staff takes good care of their customers. The salads are always fresh (too bad the salad dressing is packaged -- the dressing is not bad, I just wish they would offer a simple fresh vinaigrette as well, but that's a minor point).
