Ned's is one of the best pizzas in the city! Grab a half baked and finish it at home to your liking or have it ready to eat now but there isn't seating at the store so we prefer it hot and fresh out of our own oven. I can honestly say this is the only pizza I've had where I actually like/ prefer the sausage pizza (I'm usually a pepperoni person) because Ned's is that good! The wait for a half baked pizza was less than 5 minutes too - talk about speedy service! The sauce is perfectly rich & seasoned just right on top of a thin and crispy crust. What I love most is how loaded the pizzas are with toppings- there's no skimping here, folks! Pricing is slightly higher than other places around the area but it hasn't stopped us from returning here time and again. Ned's commitment to consistently making a great tasting, high quality pizza throughout the years keeps their customers coming back for more.

Ned's may be my favorite pizza place in all of Milwaukee. I've been going here for over 30 years and the quality is always top notch. These days I settle for the parbake option since they don't have sit down restaurant part of their business anymore. I am ok with this as it gives me the option to customize with my favorite ingredients at home. They check all the boxes for what a great pizza is; cracker thin crust, a thick flavorful pizza sauce and ample amounts of cheese. Tonight I got it with sausage as well, and added onions and black olives at home. Delicious!!!

Pizza? Good! Service? Good! Whats not to like? The wings? Good! Been ordering for years now and it's either never changed or it's gotten better. I order delivery almost every time and even in bad weather like tonight, at 11 degrees, they showed up and with a friendly attitude. Really appreciate this place!

A very old pic of the last time I was at Ned's. Ned's pizza I would say is an historical spot that my family and I love. I been having Ned's since the 90's. Let me get into it! Food: Amazing is what I will say! It still tastes the same as when I had it as a kid. It brings back memories of sitting on my curb fixing my bike and having a slice of Ned's. Service: Every time I have dined in the staff have been really great friendly and always checked in on my friend and I. Atmosphere: Or ambiance like I call it, is always great to see the Decor. And it was very well kept and the staff made sure everything was very clean. Overall, if you want great thin crust pizza Ned's is the spot to go to. Hands down one of the best pizza restaurants on the south side.

Grew up down the block from here. Over 40 years of eating this pizza and can honesty say I probably will never be back again. Ordered for the first time since it became "employee owned" and it's just not at all the same. The pizza lacked flavorthe crust which used to be crispy was soggy, and don't even get me started on the cheesy garlic bread which was simply a waste of money as it did not taste like they used garlic at all. Wish them the best of luck and hope they can turn it around however can't justify spending the money on this anymore. Sigh.

The garlic bread was just alright, like it wasn't good or bad. The pizza was OK. The garlic bread was a little cold.

They say no. I don't care, as their pizza is not as good as it used to be before new owners took over. It was worth the long drive then, but not now. Very disappointed.… Read more

This old school, family owned restaurant is very much a neighborhood classic that has stood the test of time. The thin crust is the perfect base for the amazingly tangy Italian sauce. The toppings are generously portioned, and the pizza (available in 12" & 14") is cut into squares, which make it all too easy to eat more! We started with the fried mushrooms and eggplant, which were very generously sized. Our table of four barely made a dent. The breading on both was great, trapping in the heat, flavors and firmness of the veggies. The eggplant especially, which in my experience can be mushy, was excellent. I loved how it was served with lemon wedges. The tartness of the lemon mixed with the zest of the marinara sauce made the eggplant something I could have eaten just by itself. The restaurant has a bar area first, then a dining room adjacent. The tables here are packed in pretty tight. We ended up at a corner table, and could bump elbows with the people sitting next to us. Still, everyone was respectful of each other's space and no issues were had. Our servers maneuvered through effortlessly and quickly.

Every time I go, I always think, "They come to take orders or simply check on us the perfect amount"--I know they want to ensure I've got everything I need but they don't feel overbearing (this is regarding servers or the bartender). Finally, I order the same thing each time: garden salad with house Italian dressing and the special pizza (sausage, mushroom, onion). Salad is crisp and the pizza is consistent--the best.

I love the location of this restaurant, a cozy little nook set apart from the business of downtown but still so accessible! With events happening at the fiserv and new music venue in the deer district, it was a welcome reprieve from the action. The restaurant itself is lively but chill - is there a word for that!? lol very laid back, friendly and informed staff. We were able to snag a seat at the bar which was great - it's probably got 12-15 seats. Full dinner service too! My husband got a mezcal old fashioned (not on the menu) and I got a spicy margarita. Both were great! As for food, the menu is eclectic, but everything looks and tasted great! We got 2 appetizers, the bruschetta and stuff pepper - both were delish!! And then we shared the braised beef risotto topped off the night with a spirit free strawberry Fresca & churros (SO GOOD). Great experience for deciding last minute and getting a walk in spot.

The drink menu features plenty of specialty cocktails, and I took our server's recommendation and ordered the Whisky Paloma, which was an excellent choice. I loved the chili dust along the rim. If you like pizza, they have an interesting selection featuring ingredients such as peaches, figs, and bacon. It was hard to decide, but I ended up ordering the Burrata pizza with grilled peaches, arugula, and honey. It was very good and would have been even better with a few more grilled peaches. I also ordered the grilled octopus because, if it's on the menu, I just have to try it. It was very good, along with the accompanying roasted potatoes. I prefer my octopus well grilled and firm, and this preparation was a bit softer than I would have liked. We finished with the tiramisu, which was a little disappointing. It was both very cold, as though it had just been thawed, and a bit soggy. Service: The service was very good throughout the evening. We were seated right away, and our server did a nice job of getting us settled in. The drinks and food arrived surprisingly quickly, and we felt well attended to throughout the meal. Thanks, Robert! Atmosphere: The building is a gem, with old brick on the outside and a modern, relaxing design on the inside. There is a foyer where guests are greeted and can wait for their tables. The wood wall treatments and lighting are inventive and upbeat. The many hard surfaces make the acoustics a bit loud, but we were still able to have a conversation comfortably. Overall, it was a very good experience. With a bit more attention to some of the final touches on the food, this could have been an even better experience. We would enjoy coming back again.

We have ordered garlic knots, cheese pizza and the margherita pizza multiples times- summer of 2025 however, now we can clearly conclude that they have downgraded their service and food. Previously we had fluffy garlic knots, smothered in sauce and parmesan however now they are serving burnt pizza crust with a sprinkle of parmesan in place of what they are advertising on their website. The pizza dough was still raw and not edible. Perhaps management has changed, as their phone number and location within the building also have and the previous menu is no longer offered which supports this theory. We did order close to closing time and inquired whether it was too late to place an order however they proceeded to take our order regardless. We would have been more satisfied if they had let us know it was too late and they would not be able to provide the quality service we had been given before. Upset to say that we will no longer be ordering from brute, they have officially lost their game.

I loved Pizza Shuttle from the time I was an undergrad 15 years ago until 2022 when I got some of the worst customer service in my life (if you dig through my reviews, I posted it in late August or early September of 2022). Just to show you how bad my order was messed up on that visit, I'll include a picture of that pizza compared to the one I picked up recently. Keep in mind, it's supposed to be the exact same order/pizza. Nobody from Pizza Shuttle ever reached out for service recovery (on Google, Yelp, or Instagram). I swore off Pizza Shuttle pizza after that, but I decided that I could give them another shot since I received a coupon that covered all but a couple dollars. What I missed the most about Pizza Shuttle was their thick and chewy garlic butter pizza crust. My custom creation uses that crust, paired with rich and creamy alfredo sauce and plenty of mozzarella cheese. It's still going to take some more time and consistency to win me back as a regular, but this time around it was just as good as the old days. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews
