This place is a good option for Mediterranean food in the area with friendly service. I got the baba ghanoush for an appetizer and as a wrap for my main dish, as it's one of my favorite foods. Unfortunately, I found it to be a little on the watery side. On the other hand, the garlic fries were perfectly crispy and the pita was warm and soft. Where to start, great service and great food! We've been looking for a spot to get delicious middle eastern food and nothing has been able to get us to come back. We will definitely come back here. The pita is the best we've tasted in the area. The food had flavor! Great use of spices. Do yourself a service and don't skip desert. This a place where you go for the food and people. Love this place it's not bad at all. It's a frequent flyer for me when I'm in Vancouver, which lately has been about every other month for a week. I have an old friend there who sneaks out and she's a foodie & we do these pub crawls of the entire area just eating, drinking, and we'll let me keep some things a secret. This had been in our list to try & now it's a stroke for sure. We get it to go & with a couple. Bottles of locally made wine it's the perfect thing for a romantic night out. We've eaten here multiple times, since discovering this restaurant a few months ago. Service is excellent. They make my favorite, Dolmas, stuffed grape leaves. Love them so much that I ordered a bunch for a party. Also excellent falafel, crispy on the outside, and tender inside with excellent flavor. The Nefertiti dish is delicious! Meat is really tender on all of the entrées, except the kofta, which is kinda like a seasoned ground beef with fresh herbs. I'm so glad Vancouver added this excellent restaurant. read more

Had a lovely lunch here the other day! The first thing you notice when you walk up to this new Hazel Dell restaurant are 2 life size Egyptian/Pharaoh looking statues. They are a nice welcoming touch! We took selfies with them for fun! The hostess/waitress was very friendly and helpful. I asked her what menu item she liked best and she pointed to the Nefertiti Special. It comes with a mixture of chicken or lamb or one can choose either one exclusively. I got the mix and it was good! It came with buttery seasoned rice and a fresh salad with cucumbers, onions and tomatoes with a lemony dressing. It comes with hummus but I love Babaganoush and she subbed that in with no extra charge. I also had one of their chocolate garnished baklavas in a cigar shape. Everything was delicious! It's nice to have another Mediterranean restaurant in Clark County. I'll be back for sure! read more

How wonderful for us to be able to welcome delicious Middle Eastern food to North County! Nefertiti offers many dishes on its menu that you will recognize if you like Arabic food, and some that are house specialties, like the Nefertiti special, which I had. It consisted of delicious fresh veggies mixed with your choice of chicken, lamb or a mix of the two that is nicely spiced. Rice and a salad of cucumber, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions and parsley with a tangy lemony dressing. Oh and hummus and soft warm pita triangles is also included, making it a great value! They let me substitute baba ganoush for the hummus and didn't charge extra. They also have several kinds of baklava, including one with chocolate & walnuts. Fabulous! Our server and the woman who appeared to be the owner running the cash register were friendly and gracious. I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu! You should try it too! read more

This place is a gem!!!! The owners are so kind and sweet and so helpful. They love making you their food. The setting is comfortable and clean. The food is fantastic, fresh, flavorful and wonderfully delicious- it will make you mouth happy and give your feet a reason for a happy dance. They free soda refills and pets bread refills. We tried the new Nefertiti Egyptian restaurant on HWY 99 last night. We had the hummus, warm pita bread, gyro and garlic fries. Everything was absolutely wonderful! Very tasty tzatziki, awesome gyro and some of the best fries ever. They were almost like very light potato skins.. but not skins? Love the spices and how they use subtle hints of lemon. Sooo good! Makes my mouth water to think of it again. They've only been open for a little over a month now and honestly I don't think there are too many kinks to work out as a new restaurant. Our waitress was super warm and welcoming, the place was spotless, and they have a great menu! And the food... DELICIOUS! read more

Call me a pharaoh because I felt like a king eating here. It's a nondescript restaurant facade in a small shopping center off hwy 99 on a busy section. You may have been driving past it for months. I was. Don't let that fool you. The seating is comfortable and plenty. The staff helpful and kind. But best of all, the food! We had the Veggie Mazza Platter to get us a taste of many things. I didn't expect much because it looks like a typical menu. These dishes are at the top of the food pyramid. Fantastic! The hummus was uniquely spectacular, so creamy and with its own special seasoning. The baba ghanoush was the best I've had. Dolmas were not as tart as I'd like but the flavor was more than balanced. The falafel? Most and seasoned perfectly. Great texture on the outside and inside. Even the greens and reds were satisfying. The whole dish was gobbled up. I ordered lentil soup because I've always loved lentil soup. That soup was so good we had to order another. So good! It's almost not a lentil soup because it's not grainy or lumpy and it's so delicately seasoned that you forget it's good for you. If you don't like lentil soup, you must try it. It'll change your mind. The pita was so fresh and scrumptious. Our friends had the Shawarma and the Nefertiti wrap. Both were exceptional! We all agreed we're going back. And I think I have a new favorite lentil soup/falafel/hummus platter spot. Queen Nefertiti never had it so good. read more

YUM. The food here is fantastic. The service is super friendly and attentive. The veggie mezze platter was one of the finest we've had (and we've had them all over). The baba ganoush was super smoky, the dolmas were delicious, the falafel was crispy, and the pickled cabbage was delightful. The platter could use tzatziki, but the gyro came with it so we used that with the falafel. The meal came with unlimited pita as well. The boba tea feels out of left field (it was good, though) - looking at the first review from earlier this year we now understand how that happened. My BF offered to pick up some gyros after I read all the great reviews. The service was friendly but the food doesn't stay hot for long so both sandwiches and potatoes were lukewarm by the time we opened the Styrofoam boxes. This place may have been intended for sit down. Now, I feel guilty most of the time about the amount of plastic and waste I put out there and sadly, I don't think I'll be returning because the amount of plastic from two meals here was ridiculous. In addition to the entrees, ketchup and tzaziki came in 3 little plastic containers (which I'll grant is pretty normal) and two drinks both in plastic cups with plastic lids and straws, all wrapped in a plastic bag. I know this is probably based on cost, but I have to do my part. As far as the food went, it was good. I was a little puzzled why the tzaziki wasn't in the sandwich to begin with because dipping was awkward and they serve olives in their sandwiches which is also not what I'm used to. I'm not a big fan of green olives. The unique and best part was the thin cut garlic potatoes. Never had potatoes like these and dipped in yogurt sauce were very tasty. Just not delicious enough to warrant another visit when Samo's is near work and everything is in paper. Plus, high quality tater tots abound in our neighborhood! read more

On our weekly Tuesday lunch my SIL and I decided to try Nefertiti Restaurant. It can easily be missed as it is on the end of a small strip mall on Hwy 99 in Hazel Dell. We were seated and mentioned it was our first time here. The owner and "daughter"? Were friendly and said they would answer any questions we had. My SIL was not really familiar with the food so decided on the gyro lamb wrap combo which came with garlic fries and drink. She really enjoyed her meal and would come back to try something new. I had the lamb Shwarma with salad, rice, hummus and pita bread. It was very good but had enough left over for another meal. We also had the walnut baklava. What is not to like about that! This was an excellent experience from start to finish. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with welcoming staff. The menu has a nice balance between variety and simplicity. The food came really quickly and was incredibly delicious. I really have nothing bad to say. Chicken shawarma plate was phenomenal and the hummus appetizer + fresh pita was maybe the best I've ever had. Lentil soup was very fragrant and flavorful. The tea with mint was very bold yet smooth. We have been meaning to try this place for awhile now and finally got around to it for lunch yesterday. My mom ordered the hummus wrap sandwich and loved it. We split the mazza platter and it was delicious. The plate consisted of falafel, baba ganoush, hummus, salad and pickled cabbage (and delicious, soft bread). We all shared the delicious garlic fries too. We're eating the leftovers now and talking about how good the food is. We also shared some baklava and loved that. We definitely plan to return - plenty of options for vegans, vegetarians meat eaters. It's one of those warm and inviting restaurants that makes you feel like family. Oh! I got the chicken shawarma that comes with garlic fries, and everything was perfect! The wrap was the best combination of meat, pickled cabbage, onions, tomato, and cucumber with a pickle on the inside coated in a delectable sauce. The fries are amazingly flavorful with a garlic taste and a hit of lemon served with a refreshing tatziki dipping sauce. The Darma's were warm and tasteful. The Lamb Shawarma was delicious, not your typical thin sliced lamp, which i appreciated. The red cabbage was tasty. Overall, after trying several Mediterranean restaurants in clark county, this was the BEST experience of all. The service was EXCELLENT. I even enjoyed their sliced potato fries. And I will complain if warranted but not here, not today. The only negative was the 3% credit card surcharge that I was not warned about prior to processing my credit card. I was not given the choice to pay cash or credit card. This may be a sign of the times; however, this special charge will stop me from just dropping in for lunch in the future. I was offended that no one mentioned this surcharge prior to processing my credit card. Perhaps this is a learning curve item. They have only been open for 8 months. read more

Walking into this place for the first time, it was fun to see the modern Egyptian decor which was tastefully done and very inviting. The music goes along nicely with the vibe and played to a just right level. And then the server was so warm and welcoming it just added to the experience.
