This is the second time my family has eaten here and it will be the last. While the food was okay the service was extremely slow and unprofessional. A member ordered churros with vanilla ice cream which arrived with a hair in it. She returned it and we said that since she returned it, we should not be charged. When we went to pay the cashier named Junior copped an attitude and threw our credit back at us in an extremely rude fashion. We will never visit this location nor any other of their other locations. The brown food truck parked in the back has really delicious melt in your mouth birria wrapped in a toasty tortilla bursting with flavor topped with crispy onions and cilantro. This spot has amazing food with hot sauce worth mentioning. The sauce has heat in it so if you cant handle the heat take it easy on the sauce cause it will blow your socks off. I was visiting San Diego And was looking for some good birria on a Sunday morning. This place was highly recommended. To be honest, initially I couldn't find an address. I googled it and eventually found one. Showed it as just being behind the actual seafood restaurant, which is located in the front. The birria spot is a small trailer, which runs from the rear parking lot. Maybe I set my expectations a little too high. Maybe I was just craving those delicious tacos you can find crossing the border. All I found here was soggy, disappointing tacos. The meat itself wasn't tooo bad. It was decent, not the best, but ok. What kills the whole deal is that they use thin, flimsy tortillas that once drenched with the juices from the meat, your tortilla/taco will fall apart. I'm sure they would do a lot better if they had handmade tortillas being made. Oh and of course, maybe drain the meat a little bit more so that the taco has a chance to be eaten as a taco that it is. They also offer quedabirrias which is a birria taco with cheese. It is usually delicious, but again... they just need to stop making it so soggy. read more

Their are two ways to buy food from these folks. They have a seafood restaurant which is what faces the front. I have not eaten in their restaurant. They have a food truck in the back part of the parking lot. This food truck only serves (I can't spell it) (Beer-EEE-a) tacos. These tacos were the best tacos I have ever had. They were amazing. What's a Mexican girl to do on a hot Sunday evening... I was craving seafood, but not sushi, I wanted spicy fresh seafood and a cold beer with clamato. Medium sized restaurant, the "Norteño" was playing live, and there was someone ready to take us to our table. I'm not a fan at all of the Banda or Norteño music and thankfully this only lasted about 5 mins. I ordered a tostada that was the speciality of the house. Once I got it I was a bit confused, they brought it in a little bowl and they gave me a packet of tostadas. I forgot about the confusion once I tasted my spicy shrimp and scallop ceviche! The marlin taco was great too. I took a few spoonfuls of my friend's seafood coconut which is the best thing ever!! It's a seafood cocktail but inside a coconut with fresh coconut chopped inside your cocktail. Took another bite of my other friend's spicy shrimp taco, perfect balance of spicy, garlicky, creamy cilantro sauce and the crunchiness of the cabbage. My beer was cold as ice and loved the spicy tamarindo rim on my glass with clamato. Chips and salsa you get at your table as soon as you sit down are bomb.com Service was great!! My friend and i were looking for a Mariscos place that was open past 9pm on a weekday since we decided we had a craving for it at 830pm lol. We ended up here. The oysters negro durazo style were awesome as well as the aquachilles verde AND a great michelada!!! We came into Negro durazo on a Friday night. We first got into the door nobody greeted us or even said hi to us. We went to sit down at a dirty table and they did come clean it up for us after about 5 mins of sitting there. It took forever for us to be greeted. Was waiting for some work to be done on my truck at Big O and walked by this place and was drawn in by the sign that said "caldo de pescado $7.50" so I walked in with it being chilly a caldo sounded good. Today, Friday March 12, 2021 myself and a friend had lunch at this restaurant. There was small crowd present that had already been seated and nearly all had received their meal. We placed our order which was two fried fish filets. After 25 minutes our meal arrived. During our wait our waiter never came to check on us, and failed to gives us an explanation why our order took so long to arrive. The meal was good. Hijole. What can I say about Negro Durazo? Went there a few weeks ago with the hubby. He got a shrimp ceviche tostada and a lobster taco. I got a fish ceviche tostada and two smoked marlin quesadillas. My mouth waters just recalling these dishes. The tostada used for the ceviche was nice and crisp and there was plenty of fish loaded onto it. The ceviche was fresh and uber tasty, just like Mazatlan. House salsa was smokey and had just the right amount of heat. We had the ceviche first and then they brought the quesadillas and taco. Oh holy jeebus! Mine were loaded with smoked marlin, grilled onions and peppers and melted cheese. The corn tortillas (this took my breath away) were crispy from the grill. This place has a casual atmosphere with live music on weekend evenings. The staff is friendly and prompt and prices are decent. The menu is almost completely in Spanish, but there are photos of all the dishes throughout the menu and restaurant and the staff is always willing to describe any dish. Big props. This place was pretty good. I got the kids meal shrimp because I'm not a big sea food fan and it was pretty good. I liked the fries. The only thing was we went on a Thursday and they started playing loud mariachi music around 4 pm and we went for a casual sit down place to talk. I guess we should have checked again next time. I didn't pay but it seemed really pricy. The chips were really good a couple were stale but they were nice and salty. The chairs and tables are kind of crowded together and not that comfortable. Food is good. Being that it's sea food it is kind of pricey. The place is EXTREMELY loud. Like you have to shout to the person next to you in order for them to hear you. Service is not good. Our waiter didn't come around once after giving us our food. We had to ask someone else for the check. I ordered a shrimp cocktail in a medium size. It was a decent size, $12 for it. What's a little gross is that the shrimp is not deveined. This place wasn't too busy when we went in but when we were leaving it was starting to pick up...it seemed like a band was starting to set up as well. Overall, I don't recommend. My favorite thing to order when going to a place like this is the Agua Chile... This is an easy way to know if a place knows how to make their mariscos. Firstly I ordered and order of Agua Chile that was smothered in this NOT HOT dark sauce... They said it was what they prepared it with... I returned the plate twice asking them to turn up the heat... IT IS AGUA CHILE!!! (Translation- Chili Water = supposed to be smoking hot) To make the long story short they brought out the whole bottle. They were adding a premade hot sauce to aguachile? WTF? I was so turned off! Aguachile is made by mashing hot chiles, like jalapeños, serranos, or when your really gangster- HABANEROS!! The envorinment is amazing, with many tables being occupied and live music, so right off the back I got a good, lively vibe. So it's go big or go home, so naturally, we start off with a bucket of beers, and some shrimp ceviche tostadas. They were very tasty and fresh, but the real treat for me was the shrimp aguachile plate with salsa verde. This dish is one of my favorites when it comes to mariscos and Negro Durazo made it perfectly. One of the best I have had in South bay. With that, I was very satisfied, and will definitely be back for the shrimp aguachile. read more
