This was our first dining experience at Neighbor and it was amazing! Faith was our server and she offered great service and dining options. We opted for the Mango Habenero wings and the fried oysters. The wings were seasoned with a dry rub and crispy on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside. The fried oysters were well seasoned with a hint of spiciness. They were crispy and served on top of a spring mix salad mixture that we ate with ranch and blue cheese dressing.

First visit. 2 burgers with fries, water to drink and 2 dessert pies.... $60 *The price is normal for today's world so I won't dwell on it. *The smash burgers were cooked right and the meat tasted good. But the lettuce, onion etc were old and wilted. *The fries were cool and limp and the ketchup tasted recycled. *But the pie. They were individual small pot pie like the $1.09 Banquet brand from Food Lion. $10 each. Live and learn...

My partner and I were looking for a nice place to get dinner after visiting the grand opening of the Universal Arts Teaching Gallery in Shockoe Bottom. We landed on The Neighbor on Mac Arthur Avenue in Bellevue (based on a recommendation by a co-worker). We had a great time, trying both a dinner special, a Turkey Melt, and a menu staple the Edgar Allen Poe Boy, with shrimp. Both were very good. The highlight of the meal was dessert, a blueberry and raspberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. It was a perfect mix of warm fruit, a tasty crust, and vanilla ice cream slowly melting on top. We look forward to going back to try some of the other menu items, and we will definitely save room for dessert!

Safe to say that I may have a new favorite breakfast spot and I'm really happy with my experience. The moment I looked at the menu, there were so many good options to choose from and I was already plotting on coming back. This time though I ended up getting the breakfast burrito with potatoes and a strawberry lemonade which I couldn't stop thinking about. Everyone there was so nice and always had a big smile on their face and they definitely made me feel really welcome while I was there. There's definitely some good options here & I definitely plan on swinging back by for both breakfast and dinner.

This was my first time at Neighborhood and will not be my last! The food, the ambiance and the service all 10/20! We went for brunch over the weekend. Everything sounded so good it was hard to choose. We started with the French toast and split it. Never had French toast like this before and I'm not mad at it! It was deep fried which gave it this amazing crispiness you don't normally get with French toast. I got the biscuits and gravy. The biscuit!!!! I can't describe how good it was. My sister got the steak and eggs. The steak was perfectly cooked - temperature and taste. Can't wait to go back to Neighbor for dinner!

Fan to the tastic. We went for brunch, Great selection of breakfasty and lunchy items. Wyfe settled on the breakfast burrito, which the restaurant had no trouble customizing (excluding peppers.) It was really really good. I'd guess 4 scrambled eggs on it, maybe they will correct me. Adding a meat option like bacon or sausage, if offered, would have been added by Her but we were not asked. My Wilson was basically a smash burger. Everyone offers one now, but this one wqas very well seasoned and very VERY well cooked. The special sauce was all the condiment moisture that was needed on this one. The bun held up and it was a great meal. I selected tots as my side, and the portion was more than I could reasonably eat. Nice! Could have used more salt, but I took care of that. Service was attentive, if a bit confusing. Three different people stopped by, including one who (THANKFULLY) asked if I really wanted additional mustard since the smash sauce was full of it. Great ask, thank you. Great brunch, okay pricing, quick seating. We will certainly be back.

This place was awesome! We've been seeing a few Instagram post here and there and finally got the opportunity to try it out with our two boys! This place was great for our boys, with special needs, and they worked with us so well. We typically go for a booth table, which was great to block our kids in and to prevent them from escaping. We went to dinner pretty early, I would say around 4:30, and were seated quickly. They provide fun placements and crayons to have the kids color and...they have fans!!! haha The few times we've been here has been a successful with not only our boys, but the FOOD is delish! We love the kids menu, it's plentiful and we always have leftovers when we leave. Their specials has been a success with us too! Check out the photos, the food flavor and presentation is def there! Parking can be tight if you're going during the lunch/dinner rushes. Be sure you know how to parallel park! Hasn't been a problem for us to find parking since we're going during their off busy time. We will be recommending this place to our friends who are from out of town. Delish!

I've been wanting to visit Neighbor for some time now and am happy I finally stopped by for lunch. There is free street parking out front. They have a mix of indoor and outdoor seating available. I came on a weekday and was seated immediately. Although I only tried one sandwich here, I get the sense they are known for their sandwiches. I was able to try the fried oysters, hot honey Brussels, neighbor salad, and Mrs. Chanandler Bong sandwich. My favorite was by far the sandwich. The arugula pesto really complimented the sandwich. My fiancé loved it. I also really liked the hot honey Brussels. I wish the fried oysters were a bit more crispier and I wasn't a fan of the hoppin' John salad. I liked the pecans and feta in the neighbor salad. My server was super kind and helpful. I love all the natural lighting in their space and the cute mural. I'm excited to come back to try more things.

This is my new favorite spot! I came here with my sister for breakfast and the next day came with my mom! The food is really good here! The French toast was out of this world and the steak was cooked perfectly! The place was so freaking cute and casual. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. I haven't been for dinner yet but I cannot wait to try it. They do change their dinner specials often which I can definitely appreciate. I would absolutely recommend coming here.

Kimmy Gibbler with a side caesar salad

I came here for a late lunch with two friends. We arrived just before two and there was only one other table of two inside. One friend and I both ordered the Kimmy Gibbler with a side caesar salad, and my other friend ordered the Wilson with tater tots. The food was really good, but it took over a half hour for our three sandwiches to come out, even though there was only one other table occupied in the restaurant. I'm not sure why the service was so slow. I'd pack your patience if you decide to eat here.

Came here for a weekday happy hour with my friend over the summer and I will definitely be back. We sat at a high top near the bar. Our server Courtney was very pleasant and attentive and she gave great menu recommendations. I do wish there was a HH menu with the info for the drink specials but Courtney did a great job clarifying them. The food was delicious! I ordered the hot honey Brussels as my app and they had a great flavor, I wish they were more charred and had a slighter kick but they were good. Now the buffalo chicken dip and chips was probably the best thing I had and I didn't even order it. The dip was seasoned perfectly and the chips made it that much better; I'm not sure if the chips are homemade (I didn't ask) but they sure tasted like it. I love potatoes (chips, bakes, mashed, and especially fries) so the chips and the French fries I had were perfect. I added bacon to my burger and it was just what I needed because I wanted something filling. I'd recommend this restaurant to couples, solo diners, and families. Although the interior isn't super large it would be perfect for HH, lunch, or dinner and I plan to return for the latter!

I stopped for a last minute brunch. Very nice breakfast brunch offering. This is in the previous Mill site. The atmosphere is nice. I want to go back and try the dinner menu.

Nice little restaurant in a cute part of town. The menu was pretty neat named after different characters and the options were nice. The service was quick and the food was good. Definitely worth trying out.

Eggs, biscuits, cooked meat from various animals -- all the classics. The menu is fun, ranging from pigs in a blanket to a very typical omelet. It's the kind of place you want to take your girlfriend after her first sleepover. It's not hidden and it's not a secret. If you live in Richmond, you know Dot's. IF you dont know Dot's, you dont live here, you must be a guest. The walls are packed with quirky art, and the crowd ranges from longtime regulars who look like they've had the same barstool since 1995 to first-timers who can't believe they've been sleeping on this place. It's cozy without being cramped -- loud enough to feel alive but you can still have a real conversation. The food is the real story. The menu is creative American comfort -- the kind of cooking that sounds simple until it arrives and you realize someone in that kitchen actually cares. Brunch is especially strong. The biscuits are not to be missed. Neither is whatever the daily special happens to be, because they clearly put thought into it.

This is an American food restaurant and neighborhood bar so it's popular in the area. There's a Greek restaurant in the same shopping center that is one of my favorite lunchtime places for quality food at a good price, so I see Toast from time to time when I'm picking up takeout. We arrived around 2 p.m., so after the lunch rush. They do a good brunch on the weekends, but I wasn't in the mood for breakfast and brunch so I made sure they were serving the lunch menu. We ended up just sitting at the bar. They had golf on the tv so my husband could watch while we were chatting. For drinks we ordered a margarita and an old fashioned. They were as expected. For our meals, my husband ordered the crab and shrimp,p nachos, which surprised me. He's a salmon fan so I thought he'd go that route for his meal but he said he really enjoyed the nachos. I got the Thai salad with ahi tuna. My salad was just what I wanted...healthy and tasty. Toast is definitely a great restaurant and if I lived nearby, I'd be here on a regular basis.

The restaurant was fairly empty, with only three other tables occupied, so we were surprised by the length of the wait. Our two canned Sapporos didn't arrive until about 30 minutes after ordering. The shrimp sandwich took approximately 45 minutes, and the Vang rolls arrived after about an hour. After waiting an hour, we were informed that the garlic shrimp for our garlic noodles was unavailable, despite it being part of our original order. Unfortunately, the Vang rolls were so salty that we couldn't finish them. Throughout the meal, our water glasses were never refilled, and there was little communication about the delays or unavailable menu items. After roughly 90 minutes of waiting, multiple delays, and learning that several items were unavailable, we decided to pay for what we had received the two Sapporos, the shrimp sandwich, and the Vang rolls, which came to about $70. Perhaps we visited on an off night, but the combination of the slow service, poor communication, unavailable menu items, and disappointing food quality made for a frustrating experience. For those of you who are unfamiliar with a chopped cheese sandwich, let me break it down for you. A chopped cheese sandwich is when a burger is cooked steak and cheese style and put on a hoagie roll. This sounds like it should be a simple concept but so many sandwiches fall short of hitting the mark. THIS ONE DOES NOT! The meat on this sandwich is cooked wonderfully. The seasoning is perfect. The temperature is excellent. It's juicy and not any way overcooked. It smells amazing as soon as you open the bag. The fries are also a sticking point for me. They are golden brown and have just the right amount of salt and crunch to them without being dried out. My lunch is always really in minutes and I enjoy talking to the owner while I wait. He always greets me with a smile and makes my business feel appreciated. There are several other menu options but I am so smitten with this one that I have not ventured to try anything else.
