This is my new favorite pizza place in Springfield. I had a supreme and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust was perfectly done, and I really like the amount of ingredients and it was perfectly cooked. I had been toying with the idea of trying this place for a few years and today I got around to it. Two years I have thinking about it. I'm such an idiot. Thinking of all the wonderful pizzas I could have enjoyed during that time had I just given them a chance sooner! What a waste. The thin crust 8 inch thin crust pizza was the perfect size. Oozing cheese, fresh ingredients, and the great service were all a plus. Even the breadsticks were super fresh. Make sure to let it cool before eating it though as it's hotter than a Hot Pocket fresh out of a microwave. Seating inside is decent but it's down to earth seating for us normal folk, so if you need something more upscale take your Yuppie but somewhere else. Preferably in California. read more

Good food, slow service. I would avoid this place on a super busy night, as the staff seem to get overwhelmed easily. They do have really nice custom pizzas though, which is a hard find on the north side. They try, the place is usually pretty clean, satisfactory for sure. This is not a quick meal sort of place though, so if you're expecting to be in and out in twenty to thirty minutes on a busy night I'd suggest elsewhere. read more

Alert: right off the highway if you're driving theough!!! If you are a local or just passing through town on a road trip, this pizza joint is where you need to stop! It's been a while since we went to Neighborhood, so we decided to grab a couple pies from there. Firstly they have gone up in price. A one topping twelve inch pizza was $17!!! That's not my main complaint though; I'm not sure if they changed owner or their recipe, but these pizzas didn't taste remotely similar to what I remember. They were completely flavorless! Nothing at all tasted fresh, and everything seemed to be generic. The crust had no flavor except dough, and the toppings tasted like they were off a frozen pizza. There are just some places in town that seem like they cater to people who hate seasonings, or spices and this place is definitely one of them. If you put a slice of this pizza down next to a slice of lLittle Caesar's I honestly couldn't tell you which one was which. Maybe neighborhood was a little less salty? Regardless extremely disappointed. I know that some folks love it and that's great, but just know it's bland and overpriced. read more

I won't even deduct stars for the price, the pie is THAT good. Not a place to go for a cheap date because they are pretty pricey, but if you are a pizza connoisseur and want an excellent pizza you'll pay a lot more in gas to find their equal. We yelped the immediate area and found this amazing "mom and pop" pizza joint that had that kind of special vibe. We split a medium pizza, half Supreme and half Garden (vegetarian). I purchased this Restaurant because it has the best customer base of any Restaurant I have worked in the past, plus the recipes are a proven success. I like working in this industry because I like to make people feel good about the food they just put in their belly. Fries - This place used to have the best fries. Well, now, door out of the bag double coating fey version. Uhm....no...notta...not special at all like they used to be. Any number of the old Grad School location menu items...no longer available. Not a place I need to go any longer. Unfortunate....as again....it used to be a killer place.

We take a seat and wait for a waiter to come over. It was quite a while before someone came over to greet us at the table and take our drink orders, but a lady finally did show up. She took our drink order and it was a while before she brought the drinks back. Then we were finally able to order our apps and food. It took quite a while to get everything, and what we actually received wasn't quite on the same level of what we expected to see. I had the chili spaghetti and it was not great. The chili was not chili-ing. It was a weird consistency and the overall dish was kinda thick and dry, if that makes sense. I also ordered a small, thin crust pizza, and it was like a cracker with cheese and meat on top. I didn't know it was going to be quite that thin, but it wasn't the worst thing I had ever eaten or anything. It just wasn't very good-quality. Everything here seems really highly processed and pulled from bags and bins. Ordering marinara sauce took forever to get. When I ordered one more after she brought one for my son, I never got it until we were done eating and ready to pay. Mind you, she didn't stay at the table long enough for everyone at the table to say what they needed; otherwise I could've ordered mine with his. I hate to say it, but Garbo's was kind of a disappointment. It has so much potential, especially with them doing trivia upstairs and with the business being in such a cool area. I'm not sure that we will go back. The food wasn't that great and the service needs major improvement. Also, when new customers would arrive and stand at the front door, clearly having come for the first time and not knowing the process, the staff would walk right past them without saying a word (multiple times). No greeting. No "have a seat where you'd like," or anything. I ended up waving people down and letting them know that they can sit where they want so they're not just standing there awkwardly, forever waiting for the staff to greet them. Not cool guys. Lastly, the restrooms were kind of dirty, mainly the floors. I got in and out to wash my hands quickly. Overall, our visit was pretty underwhelming. Like I said, I'm not sure we will give it another try. (Insert emoji shrug here)
