I wish I got a charcuterie board but I was on a first date so I got nervous and didn't get one. I got an iced Vanilla Latte. I thought this was a cafe so I was confused by the lack of coffee options. Coffee was alright but the workers were like singing tiktok songs really loud and playing them loud on the speakers. I get people should have fun on the clock but the song was too cringe for me to not say something.

Neighbors & Friends Cafe is an absolute neighborhood gem. The space is so thoughtfully designed. Bright , charming, and effortlessly aesthetic without feeling overdone. It has that perfect cozy-meets-cute vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The staff was wonderful across the board, and Nicole was so kind, welcoming, and attentive. Great service really makes a place memorable, and she definitely added to the experience. As for the food, everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the prices were surprisingly good for the quality. I ordered the Grump sandwich and it was SOOO YUMMY. The bread was unbelievably soft and fresh, and the ingredients were flavorful, high-quality, and just plain delicious. You can really taste the care in the food. Love finding places like this that have great energy, great service, and food that actually lives up to the aesthetic. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. (Please note this is being written while eating I had to take a moment to acknowledge this spot!)

Funny, I wasn't planning on coming here but we were in the area and the neighbors and friend instagramming had gotten my attention so I booked marked them. As it turns out they were very close to some Korean shaved ice we came over to get. Shaved ice store didn't open for another hour so we decided to grab lunch. When we walked up there was a table set up outside and people asked us if we wanted free coffee and pastries. Um heck yeah! So we got those in addition to sandwiches. These guys are super nice! Super quick and they asked if we would like refills on our ice tea. I like a place that stays on top of a beverage refill. We sat at a big communal table and enjoyed our coffees, pastries and sandwiches. Everything was delicious! I had a BLTA and it was on some really fresh focaccia bread! I eat a ton of BLT'a and this one was really good. My kid ate a grilled cheese which she loved. See the cheese pull below. She also got some homemade potato chips and put those in the sandwich and said that made it super good! I would totally come here again! Sandwiches, patties, coffees, service were all great!! They also had some charcuterie platters that looked especially good! Oh I couldn't eat my pastry which was a croissant so I took it home and made a sandwich and it was still good a day later!! Definitely, plotting my return for more yumminess.

I stopped in on a busy Saturday afternoon , by than there were sold out of croissants so I ended up getting the caprese (no tomato) filled with ricotta, pesto, balsamic, fresh mozzarella , arugula on a baguette. The sandwich seemed flavorless and the baguette tasted to be a day old dry and hard . Cute cafe though and friendly staff

I got the Feisty Tuna with some chips and a blueberry loaf. The sandwich was pretty tasty! It had a lot of fixings that I don't usually see in a tuna sandwich, like candied jalapeños and pepperoncinis, which I liked. The bread was toasted nice and wasn't too hard/chewy. Great sandwich. I would come back!

Such a quaint place. I really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the place. I ordered a cheese charcuterie board to go and waited about 10 minutes for them to prepare it. It was so pretty, I almost didn't want to ruin it by eating it.

Pretty solid sandwich spot and very cute place to hang out with friends. They even have board / table games you can play. The concept of community is quite unique with the shared table and space, although there are a few individual tables if you want 1:1 space with someone else. I came here for the Dine LA special, which is a great deal for brunch with one main + drip coffee for $15! The Two Ladies Avo Toast is quite impressive in size and flavorful. I ended up having to eat with a fork because it's hard to grab but otherwise a unique concept and quite tasty. A good place that I would consider coming back for charcuterie boards or just another sandwich if I'm ever around this block.

Finally got to try neighbors and friends. I'm actually not a huge sandwich fan but I'm converted lol The sauce in the sandwich was so good! The lemonade was perfect for a hot day. Not too sweet and really tart. I could probably drink like 10 cups of it lol Can't wait to come back and try their other menu items. Great vibe, comfy seats, and all the staff were very friendly

Ok so first of all EVERYONE was so friendly and nice. The food was so good we had to come back so you got a collection of pics. BUT I didn't even get pics of everything. Yall their oatmealllll soooo freaking good. They try and remember your names. My husband and I really like this place. We took our oldest son too and he loved it. Going to bring all the fam here. It just feels like friends making you delicious food. Highly recommend! I'll be back soon. Also the vibes are so chill inside. Comfy chairs! Park anywhere on Union. It's a small walk to a parking deck if you need it! Highly recommend!!! -The James Fam!

Best tuna sandy I haver ever had!! Also the vibes inside were so fun, great customer service and a good place to eat and work if you need to. The chai was really good as well and so were the truffle chips

Simply delicious! When we first looked at the menu, the sandwiches sounded very simple but when we actually tasted it, the flavors were surprisingly very complex and delicious. We tried the Deviled egg croissant sandwich, Grilled cheese with pear and caramelized onion, and the Roasted chick sandwich. The croissant was delicious and the way the egg salad was placed in the croissant allowed you to fully enjoy the croissant without it getting soggy. The flavors in the other 2 sandwiches were spot on, with the right balance of sweet and savory. We really enjoyed all 3 sandwiches. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great. They even gave us a free sample of their Figgy Piggy breakfast Sammie which was also very tasty. There were ample seats available when we got there around 11:30 on a Sunday morning. Seats along the wall allowed you to have access to outlets and free WiFi was an added bonus. There were also a few tables available. Highly recommend this gem in Pasadena. Street parking available as well as parking structures a few blocks down.

Was able to stop by again right before they closed at 3pm! I got the individual size box and it was enough for myself for lunch on the go! So beautifully designed - they got it down to a science now! The box contained a good variety of cheese (4 total) and fruit (strawberry, orange which was so sweet!, blueberries, blackberries, kiwi, dried apricot), pistachios, mini pickles, a little bit of honeycomb and olives. I don't usually like olives but I liked these ones! They're green and have a bite to them. Crackers is an additional cost depending which one you pick so total price for my box with tip was around $30. I left this in the fridge to enjoy the next day out and it traveled pretty well! Looking forward to coming back and trying more items here. They also have an LA Community Fridge for those in need and various local brand goodies to purchase too. Lastly, there are special classes and events too!

A lovely community cafe in Old Town Pasadena with a cozy interior and fun items to shop. I got a cheese box (I requested more fruit instead of cheese!) which was not only beautifully made on the spot, but also tasted delicious. You can tell they source the best and freshest ingredients! There's a decent amount of seating for groups or if you're looking for a solo date spot. Employees are really friendly and gave great suggestions! I got the Figgy Piggy which was a delicious sandwich with fig butter, goat cheese, prosciutto, pistachios, and honey on a baguette. Sooooo good! And I paired it with their lemonade for a refreshing touch. They also have a nice selection of baked goods - I was eyeing that cornbread....definitely will be back to try some.

I have sandwich geniuses living right down the street. The bread? Exceptional. The cheeses? Dangerous. The meats? I may never recover. And then there's the lemon Italian ice. This place is an absolute gem. Go for the pasta, stay for the sandwich, leave with three things you didn't know you needed and a strong desire to become Italian.

I've been married to an Italian woman for years and have eaten sandwiches from Little Italy's all over the states to many in Italy as well, so I was definitely interested to order some sandwiches and giving this place a go. This small shop doesn't have much seating, but it does have a counter to sit at as well as a small section of pasta, sauces, drinks, and various other things for you to purchase when you walk in. The menu here isn't massie, but you don't really need it to be at an Italian sandwich shop so who cares? I ended up ordering the Chicken Confit which description is "Our newest sandwich! Dark meat chicken sourced from Cream Co. Meats, confited in olive oil, then tossed it with an orange-Calabrian chili agrodolce spiked with fennel seed and garlic that's bright, deeply savory, a touch spicy, and a little addictive. It all comes together with spicy arugula and tangy pecorino Toscano on a Bub & Grandma's baguette.". The sandwich was about $15 and I gotta say, it's not very big and it didn't really do the job of filling me up and neither did my wife's. The flavour wasn't bad at all, it was solid enough and I don't have any complaints other then It was simply kind of small for the price. Overall, Ferrazzani's Pasta & Market is fine. I didn't leave blown away by anything, and in fact I was left still kind of wanting to eat. The sandwich was fine, but I don't think the amount of food matches the price and I can't really see myself driving back to Pasadena to give this place another go, but hey, this may be the perfect shop for somebody.

By the time I was done ordering and had everything there was probably 20 people in line. So getting there a little early makes sense. I ordered 4 chocolate croissants, 3 Monkey Breads, 2 Kouign Amanns, and a partridge....sorry. Wrong song. 1 chocolate bar and a cappuccino. So far I've had a Kouign Amann and the cappuccino. The cappuccino may be the best I've ever had. I don't know what kind of coffee they use, but it was very smooth. That alone is worth the trip. AND, my barista did a cute milk art on top. The Kouign Amann was AMAZING. Layered and flaky I confess I ate the whole thing! I can't wait until I can try the other 2 things I've purchased. After all, the chocolate croissant was the primary reason for going. Now for the negatives: Management should figure out a way for more than one person to take orders and box them up. Even Mom & Pop donut shops often have multiple people taking orders. And Porto's has it down to a science. It would go a long way toward clearing the line faster. My second issue was the price. Quality is expensive. I get it. And I'm fortunate enough to be able to splurge for a treat like this. But with a small tip added to my total I spent just shy of $100! Not something I can do every week. But I would encourage you to save your nickels and check them out!

This larger space now serves as a cheese shop, upscale market and fast-casual eatery. I came here for lunch after walking through GCM and not feeling inspired. They still offer a large case of cheeses from around the world, which can be purchased by weight. I think a large part of their business is creating made-to-order charcuterie platters and boards of cheeses and meats. In their deli case, they have grab and go plates of 3 cheeses (meat optional), pickles and dried fruit. The gourmet market also offers fresh produce, specialty items like premium butters, Rancho Gordo beans, house made items like chicken stock, pickles, etc, and meats. Plus fresh juices and lemonade and canned/bottled drinks. I came for the eatery. They offer cold sandwiches and breads, plus made to order hot sandwiches. They have an attractive Sunday Brunch menu also. I went with the ham melt, which is their OG grilled cheese with ham added. I also ordered their "Always Creamy Tomato Soup", both to go. The soup was delish. It came with garlicky croutons which alas were soggy by the time I ate them. The sandwich was excellent. It had 3 different cheeses, ham, and caramelized onions on brioche. It was grilled to perfection with a substantial cheese skirt, and came with pickles and whole grain mustard. A very tasty lunch and a nice alternative to GCM. They had a fair amount of seating if you decide to eat in. I'd definitely shop their market more extensively next time, and would like to try their brunch someday.
