I come to this location pretty frequently for casual lunches with friends or to watch games, and I've always had a great experience! I know it's a sports bar and definitely has more of a fun atmosphere, but my friend and I found our experience this time to be a little off-putting. Our server kept bringing up getting drinks and shots multiple times throughout our lunch. It was a Sunday around noon, and I had asked for a soda water. He responded with, "Oh yeah, with gin or vodka?" and I said no, I was all set. Later, when we asked for the check, he asked if we were ready for some shots, and he had already brought up getting shots several times earlier in the meal. It just felt really odd because we were clearly there to have lunch and were not looking to drink heavily. If someone was sober or simply didn't want to drink, I could see this making them feel pretty uncomfortable. I've always enjoyed coming here for a beer or seltzer and lunch/dinner as a casual spot, so I was surprised by this experience. Went for a team outing and it was a great time. Wine Wednesdays along with trivia at 7pm. HH drink specials with 1/2 off options. We tried the smoked wings (buffalo and garlic parmesan), cheese curds, nachos amongst other food items. Food was at the right temperature and all had great flavor. Bangin lil sports bar I live around the corner from here, so I find myself here pretty regularly whenever the boys and I roll out. They like sports and I like nachos, so it's a win win. My first time at neighbors was their Germantown location and I loved them. I got to go to their Gulch location recently and had a great lunch date with my husband. This place was off the charts. It was wall to wall tv's and people. It was the first night of pro football Chief vs Chargers. The only downfall, I thought I would never say this, was it was seat yourself. It was impossible. We hung out by the bar for about twenty minutes but it paid off. We had Teriyaki Glaze Salmon bowl and I substituted cauliflower for the brussel sprouts. The fish was cooked perfect and the glass was some of the best I have ever had. Everyone behind the bar was fantastic and the crowd was electric. Parking anywhere in Nashville is expensive, so be ready for that. read more

Meh. We stopped one night for a late dinner after flying into Nashville. It was the middle of the week but the restaurant was somewhat packed. The atmosphere was cool, but the service could use some improvement. Our waitress (a blond young girl) was nice, but she wasn't very attentive. We ended up flagging down a young AA gentleman who served us for the rest of the night. He really went above and beyond to help us after we complained to him about the dismal service. The food also left something to be desire. It was just okay. Nothing spectacular or memorable. I had a grilled cheese and fries, which wasn't very good. I don't know what kind of cheese was used on the sandwich, but it was awful. My sister had a bacon cheeseburger and the cheese was just as gross on that as well! She enjoyed her tater tots though. My brother had the buffalo chicken wrap, which he said was excellent. My other friend had the Greek Salad. He said it was delicious. After seeing it I wish I'd ordered one too. I probably wouldn't visit Neighbors Gulch again for food, but I wouldn't be opposed to stopping in for drinks. read more

Everything you'd expect from a Sports Bar. We visited Neighbors in the Gulch this weekend and we were glad we did. Neighbors is a quintessential sports bar, with lots of beer, a full bar, and a nice food menu. The staff were friendly and attentive, even when the place got full around 2:00 pm. The walls are filled with posters, sports memorabilia, and televisions. Yes, it's decorated in a very masculine manner, but isn't that what you want from a sports bar? And there are large televisions everywhere you look. The beer was cold and everyone enjoyed the food they ordered. Pro Tip: Order a side of Brussels Sprouts with your sandwich instead of fries. The Sprouts are delicious! We will definitely return to Neighbors in the Gulch whenever we need to spend some time in a high quality sports bar. read more

I live down the street and have gone a few times, I think tonight was the tipping point .. me and my lovely other half had sat down on the patio to get some food and drinks, after a little bit the server had gotten to us (after getting to 2 other tables that had sat down after us) to put it into perspective this is a "seat your self" restaurant. Anyways after ordering our app and drinks we got our app within 5 minutes, awesome! So quick!! ... not so fast after 20 minutes of waiting for our drinks we had seen the waitress and food runners give multiple tables multiple drinks (the waitress had said our drinks were ready and she would get them about 10 minutes prior) we asked a busser if we could just cash out and just leave the drinks off the tab since we never got them, she let the waitress know. The waitress came back about 10 minutes later with drinks for another table in her hand saying "oh yeah I saw your drinks at the bar" for the second time then proceeded to blame the food runners for not getting them when clearly she was giving tables drinks as well, like come on I'm not dumb. Nice menu changes! The ambience was excellent and Julie was phenomenal behind the bar as always on my recent visit.

We ordered the hot chicken sliders from the brunch menu, cheese curds, chicken wings. Everything was delicious and super tasty. The hot chicken sliders were delicious but a little honey or something would have added to ven more flavor and offset the heat a bit. Our drinks did get empty before they were refilled so the service could have been a little better since it was pretty slow when we were there. service from bar tenders was incredible and staff was very attentive. However I am terribly disappointed that when Tennessee and Kentucky basketball was on it was not on the big screen. We asked multiple servers to change it and they agreed with our request, however, the general manager of the establishment came up to us and said he was a Flordia fan and he would change some of the smaller tvs to the Tennessee game. There was only one table with Flordia fans and no A&M fans while most of the restaurant had paying customers here hours prior anticipating the game. Multiple tables have raised complaints and many people have had to turn their chairs away from their tables to be able to watch the states home team. it's 40 degrees outside and they keep the ac on inside so the temperature was never above 65. you couldn't take you're overcoat off inside as the ac vents would blow cold every 5-7 minutes. when food was delivered it went cold in a-few minutes. the fries were medium warm when served and cold in 3-4 minutes. it difficult to enjoy a cold beer when you're in an icebox. read more
