I love açaí bowls!! I got the açaí banana berry bowl. It had strawberries, blueberries, banana and granola. It was super delicious, perfect amount of sweetness and crunch. They also gave us free ginger shots for checking in on yelp so that was nice! I didn't really like the shot since I'm not a fan of ginger and it was so spicy going down, but I know it has really good health benefits so I gave it a try! The juice is solid here. However my wife and I ordered online and I still had to wait twenty mins in store for our order. It was not an excessively large order. It was 3 drinks and an açaí bowl and took over 30 mins to deliver. When I walked in I went straight to the pick up counter and the associate told me ten mins and it'll be ready. Love coming here after a workout! They have freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, and bowls at a great price. It's very similar to the very popular "Sunlife" (which is literally across the street) but it's just not as expensive! Lately I've been getting the pitaya bowl here, which is like a thick blended healthy smoothie (in a bowl) with fruit and granola on top. It's so yummy! It's like eating ice cream but it's so good for you! MAJOR win in my book! Maggie always ends up taking my order, and does a great job making sure everything is executed correctly the first time! Nektar is one of those places I've tried giving multiple chances to try out. However the drinks always taste mediocre. Most of the time it is not fully blended where I still get chunks of nuts that get stuck on the straw, and the price tag is pretty expensive. 2 stars because you get a free ginger shot with checking in and the interior design is always nice. read more

My family was eating at the corner bakery cafe right next door and everything just tasted...bad, to say the least. So I popped into this juice bar because it caught my eye, and wow, I was not expecting such an amazing place! This is the perfect place to get something healthy without compromising the taste at all, in fact it made that other cafe taste like cardboard in comparison! I had the pumpkin smoothie thanks to a friendly server's recommendation, and as soon as I got it, it was so good I chugged the thing in a minute. The customer service here is terrible. I work in the same plaza and every time I come here they have a blasé attitude, and they are very slow with making the smoothies. On one occasion they helped 5 people before they helped me, when I was there first, and then proceeded to ask me what I ordered because somehow they forgot. Today I went in with a friend, and they were stocking items, neither person acknowledged us or took our order so we left. I love coming to Nekter especially when I want something light during my lunch break. I have tried something from each category - juice, smoothie, acai bowls and they all taste great and are all a refreshing treat. My favorite juice would have to be "The Buzz" which is mostly carrot juice with a bit of ginger and lemon. This juice is as refreshing as it looks and sounds! Although people tend to be grossed out by carrot juice, I actually think it tastes great especially with the ginger! Smoothie-wise, I always get the health-nut which is a nice healthy way of incorporating peanut or almond butter into your diet. Definitely less sugary and less calories than other peanut butter smoothies at other places! I tend to opt for the almond butter which is $1 more. It's also thick and sometimes I'll have this for lunch and it will keep me really full. I also like the nutty flavor without adding sweetness to it. For the bowls, I always get the banana berry acai bowl which is the most basic one in my opinion. Whenever I get an acai bowl, it always makes me full half way through so sometimes I share... sometimes! They put just the right amount of fruits on top but my ONLY qualm about Nekter is that sometimes they put too much granola. Last time I shared the Acai Peanut Butter bowl with my boyfriend and there was so much granola that it completely soaked up the smoothie part of the bowl (which is the BEST part). I was quite sad about that so from now on I think i'll be ordering the granola on the side. Also, be prepared to spare a few minutes when ordering. Everything is made to order, blending and juicing individual fruits can take a while! If I know I'll be in a hurry or want to pick it up for breakfast before work, I'll order online and never had a problem of it not being ready. So I got an email ad about the 2021 20% off digital card. I accidentally bought the $20 digital card where you get 20% off on 21 purchases for 2021, thinking that this was some $20 gift card, and now I'm stuck with it since Nektar customer service didn't respond to my mistake. On top of it, at least I got a free acai bowl which doesn't make up for the price of that. As an acai bowl lover, this place is subpar. The bowls are small and you get so little fruit. I use to go to Movita Juice Bar in Pasadena, and their size and fruit toppings are really generous. I get really jealous looking at their Yelp photos seeing what I get here. You probably get 4x the amount of fruit there in an acai bowl. Here, you get less than one strawberry and a few banana slices, and five pineapple chunks. On top of the pineapple chunks, I ordered a Mango Acai Bowl, and there was literally no mango and just pineapple. My god. The smoothies and juices are also really overpriced. for $7 you get 16oz whereas elsewhere like at Movita, for $7 you get 24oz. I came back twice just to make that 20% digital card worth my money and mistake, but maybe I should just take that fat L and stop coming here for the measley and frugal amount of fruit. Never again. I waited 20 minutes. They then fogot my order. I complained, he half appologized then continued to chat with another employee stopping every so often to actually finish my drink. I then told him I was never coming back due to terrible service and he brushed me off. Unbelievable. Hoping the owner reads this so you can replace him. it was 9/21 3:30 pm. Two other customers were in there as a witness and felt my pain. The bowl was delicious - I added almond butter blended into the açaí, topped it with granola, banana, berries, and honey Perfect Sunday mid morning meal. Nékter is one of my go-to juice bars, because it's pretty close to where I live and they make some pretty awesome bowls. The first time I came here, I tried their Pitaya bowl and it was really good! I think I would rather go to Freshly Squeezed Juice Bar (located near Paseo) for pitaya though, because it's cheaper there and it comes in a waaaay bigger bowl. But the second time I came here, I got the Peanut Butter Bowl ($7.50), and it was one of the best bowls I've ever had. They blend banana, housemade vanilla cashew milk, peanut butter, and whip up a bowl full of nutrient dense ingredients. I asked them to not add agave on the fruits on top (banana & strawberries), and also asked for the granola on the side (because most of the time the granola takes away the actual flavor of the smoothie.. and additional calories of course). The PB bowl was 520 calories, but was well worth it because I was really full by the time I finished it. I've always had to wait quite a while for them to get my order ready, even though the staff is super nice and friendly.
