I went to this Nekter location about a week ago at about 705 am. As soon as I walked in the employee said "sorry, we're closed unless you have exact cash. My manager isn't here and I don't know how to use the register for cards". Mind you This location opens at 7am. I understand if people are training, but if you open at 7, then everything should be up and running at 7. A welcome and needed addition to the area. Stopped in today and purchased a Glow juice and a smoothie. A customer in front of me was discussing the health benefits of the ginger shots with one of the employees as I waited for my beverage to be prepared. He asked if I'd tried ginger before and I said yes, I was a big fan of ginger. He proceeded to prepare me a ginger shot to sample on the house. What a generous, unexpected surprise. The Glow was great, the ginger shot was like a tasty natural version of a red bull and the smoothie I got for the hubs is long gone. I wish I'd read that you can choose a base of your drink before I had mine made, but as I'll definitely be back I'll remember it for next time. Welcome to the neighborhood guys! I wasn't satisfied with my bowl a few days ago and Nick was so kind that he remade my order to my specifications and replaced my other bowl. I was shopping at Nordy Rach with my sis and decided to stop in.. See, I'm a BIG fan of pressed juices (The company Juice Served Here is my fave!).. Fresh fruit and veggie smoothies and GREAT SERVICE... The first two they had.. The "SERVICE" needs A LOT of work. Enter me: walk in and even the customers look unhappy sitting around like drones. I walk to the counter and the bald dude in back says "Hello" and continues with the fruit juice machine. As I lip read the menu he says, "I can't hear you, what?!" But NOT once does he stop the machine OR come to see if I'm saying anything. Then a girl comes up to bring a drink for another customer but she never says ANYTHING... Never acknowledges my presence.. Never lets me know SOMEONE will be right there. Not until I started making my way to the door did the older chick in back come up and ask if she could help me, adding "sweetie" to the end as if that would change the terrible service.. I grabbed 2 of the remade pressed juices paid the $10 and left. A note to you Nekter employees, owners, management or whatever.. The area of upland you are in is a great location but we do require standards in the businesses we support. It's a nice area with nice businesses all throughout. The interior design of the store is very nice. However, it took over 20 minutes to receive my juice and there was one person ahead of me. The person who came in after me got their drinks before I did. I got the pink flamingo based off of the employees recommendation. The drink was so disgusting I couldn't finish it, I even started to gag. The color of the smoothie was very pretty though, I should have took a picture of it so I could remember my first and last smoothie from this place. I wouldn't recommend this place. I love Nekter. There isn't a choice on the menu that I don't just love! The drinks at this particular location though, are hit and miss. The consistency in the blending differs from day to day. They aren't as ready to greet you in this location as they are in Rancho and Pasadena. Today, I wasn't greeted until I got to the counter. I use the app to order ahead (which I absolutely love)and they always seem confused when I ask for my order when I get in the store. I will be going to Rancho for awhile. I went today for breakfast and ordered a peanut butter acai bowl not to mention its almost $10. Anyways so I pay and tip the gal like I do always because I saw it was empty. Well that was probably a foreshadowing for things to come. I finally get my bowl after 10 min god knows why it took so long. Grab it and go! I start eating it in the car and notice its only granola on top of acai with cut up banana and strawberries that looked crapily defrosted. So it took that long, I tipped the girl only to get it wrong. Seriously how hard is it to throw together an acai bowl with the list of ingredients right there? So I call and speak with Jenika and she literally doesn't even know how to properly address the situation. I went here expecting to get something good. I walked in and looked at the menu. I am type 1 diabetic so I can't have every ingredient in each smoothie. I tried one of the blended juices first. I took out the cucumber and added banana. When I got it tasted like the rind of the pineapple, which was not good. We let them know and they let me pick something else, I picked one of the berry smoothies without agave (too much sugar for a diabetic). When I got this it only tasted like cashew milk, and was worse than the first one. We sat at the counter for like 4 minutes and they just ignored us. We gave it to one of the employees and said that we didn't like it: he took it and didn't say anything. I actually started crying because it's so hard for me to find a place that properly accommodates me. Customer service was horrible. They basically blamed me for it not tasting good.
