Had our wedding at Nella Terra Cellars on September 21st and it was the best choice we made when venue touring and was the perfect place for our wedding! We booked Nella Terra over a year in advance and worked with Kendall and Whitney. They were both amazing to work with and answered my many questions, gave me multiple quotes so I can see how many guests I can have to work with my budget and they even sent us a bottle of wine when we were getting closer to the date! The team was very very patient and worked with me with everything I was envisioning to happen. Wedding day was amazing, guests complimented the beauty of the hidden gem , the bar tending services, our wonderful onsite shuttle driver for family members who had trouble walking down the stairs and especially the welcoming champagne. It was truly a magical experience for everyone at the wedding. Everyone had the same comment of "when driving to the venue, it was confusing as if you're in the middle of no where , but once you make that left turn going to the parking lot you are in awe and excited to go down the stairs". As for the wedding party, the bridal cottage was a great area for the girls to hang out, take pictures and drink champagne. I loved how there was a secluded bathroom there too for the awkward dress holding time when needing to use the restroom - tons of space if you have a long train dress!. The groomsmen enjoyed the bocce ball court area as well and got to play. Walking around Nella Terra alone just makes you feel like you're far away and in a magical place. Everything catches your eye from the vineyard , the stairs, the water fall, palm trees and even the beautiful white tent for reception. You feel and see the love and beauty the place holds because of its up-keeping and how the team there is beyond welcoming to everyone! I highly recommend this venue for anyone especially if you want amazing photo ops for you and your guests, but really for an amazing time. Nella Terra cellars is beyond perfect!

This was a lot of firsts. First time as the plus one, first winery, first only Indian food wedding. Anyways, my better half received a wedding invitation and off to California we went for the weekend. The wedding itself was held at the gorgeous Nella Terra Cellars located in the mountains of Sunol. The wedding venue at Nella Terra Cellars offers space for a small to medium sized reception and wedding, with a picturesque water feature, a stairway through the winery, a babbling brook, multiple foot bridges, an assortment of flowers, a waterfall, a huge "Love" sign and a large tree strung up with led lights overlooking the large pond. Plenty of areas to get gorgeous photos but without being tacky in a way that scream "we did this for likes on Instagram." There's also a large tiled space for a party tent, along with space for vendors and portable bathrooms, along with fire pits, and sofas. It is an active cattle ranch with at least one llama. The location can be fairly warm during the afternoon in early May as shade can be hard to find and then cools down dramatically once the sun sets. Parking is extensive in the upper lots. As for nearby hotels, there are a bunch in Fremont which is about a 20 to 25 minute drive from the location.

Attended a wedding ....wow beautiful venue. The weather was perfect. The set up was memorable. The scenery of the rolling hills was eye catchers. The pond, flowers , vineyard and the reception/ballroom was amazing. Food was great. Who ever the catering company they did excellent. The salmon was perfectly cooked the veggies were just right. The service very attentive.

2022 Estate Sauvignon Blanc - light and fruity with a buttery finish like a Chardonnay 2012 Estate Viognier - Floral and dry with a slight butter finish 2020 Estate Pinot Noir Rose - A lighter version of Pinot Noir. Soft and fruity with a crisp dry finish. 2021 Gold Medal Winner 2021 Estate Pinot Noir - Soft and fruity berry, medium body, and a hint of pepper. Dryer finish than most Pinot Noirs. At $48/bottle I feel it was a bit overpriced for an ok Pinot. In my opinion price should be $35. 2021 Estate Rubertino Red Blend - 50 Zinfandel and 50 Petite Syrah. Medium body, dry wine, slightly acidic, spicy. Table wine would be good with Italian pasta dishes, pizza, Asian and hearty beef comfort food. Would not recommend with lean beef like a filet or NY Strip but could be good with a Ribeye or a sirloin. $46/bottle for a table blend seemed overpriced to me. In my opinion price should be $32/bottle. Good service, seating area with shade, and view of the Viognier vineyard. There was a nice breeze coming over the mountain for a perfect summer day with a glass of wine. Recommended to come on a Sunday afternoon at about 2pm for less crowds. And if they have a wedding finishing up you get music in the background for your tasting. Tasting fee $25 waived if purchasing over $125 in wine.

Nella Terra helped host my June wedding and I could not be happier choosing them for the big day. My husband is not a man of many words and he even voiced that he was extremely happy with our choice as well! From initial inquiry to the day of, Nella Terra was on top of everything. Their required vendor for wedding planning (Simply Lovely) and catering (On the Vine) made the coordination of all the details seamless. They are chosen for great reason and the saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies perfectly. All I had to do on my wedding day was show up and enjoy the day. That's literally it! Every detail large and small was planned before and they executed perfectly on the day of, I never worried or stressed about the details. The venue is gorgeous if you are wanting an outdoor wedding. So many unique areas to take pictures from. We did our first look at the botanical garden, family portraits under the staircase surrounded by vineyards, and then had cocktail area right outside the reception area which is under a beautifully prepared white tent. I have lived in the Bay Area my whole life and had no idea this gem of a venue existed. We got so many complements from guest about how beautiful and elegant the venue felt. Kendall went above and beyond to make sure no detail was left out and that the day went smoothly. She is professional and organized. Thank you to the Nella Terra team for exceeding all my expectations and making our wedding a dream come true!

We fell in love with Nella Terra Cellars when we took a tour of the venue. From the beautiful landscaping to the reception tent, you can tell how much intention went into making this venue what it is today. Our wedding day was no exception to that as well. Bethany and the Nella Terra staff all were so kind and helpful in executing our vision on the day of and answering all of our questions and concerns prior to. I can't thank and recommend Nella Terra enough. All of our friends and family still rave about the venue and our wedding day. Another thing that is so helpful, is their working relationship with the planners at Simply Lovely Events and the catering staff at On The Vine Catering. They already communicate and work out all their details together, you literally don't have to worry about a thing -- which was such a relief as a bride! P.S. Nella Terra's wine and sparkling wine is also so delicious! We love wine so that was a big factor in choosing our venue since we'd be having it at the cocktail hour/reception and our guests were equally as impressed as well.

SUCH an amazing experience. The Wine tasting ambience was ELITE. The property was BEAUTIFUL and the service was impeccable. My personal favorite was the Pinot Noir and my wife was a fan of the Sauvignon Blanc. We were accompanied by an Emily and she was WONDERFUL. She told us about every single wine we were tasting and the different flavors we were experiencing and she was just a gem. I am so glad that we found this place, we love wine tasting and have been to a couple of different vineyards and this is now one of our favorites. 10/10 Definitely will come back in the future!

Our niece and her fiance got married here this past weekend and it's beautiful and intimate and met their needs for a safe wedding, as the wedding ceremony and cocktails was outside and the dinner was in the large white tent with air coming through. It was very relaxing and pleasant. Bathrooms are located in the trailer at the back of the tent and are clean, but alittle dark inside the bathrooms. The floor seems to be slightly tilted as I felt like I was on a cruise ship. There was an open bar and banquet tables were beautifully decorated. The bride and her father came down the beautiful staircase that leads to the venue. Some of us went down the stairs to get to the venue, but if you aren't mobile, there is a shuttle that can take you down to the venue. It was a very sunny and hot day (90's) at 5 pm during the ceremony so bring a hat and sunglasses! The food was a delicious buffet that had servers at the buffet line. The only con I see is the distance as it is a long drive from Oakland to Sunol and the winery is not near the freeway but a long drive on a two lane road that seemed endless. But going home was pretty quick with gps!

First time coming here for a friend's wedding. Parking was cool since there were staff there to direct us and let us know of the shuttle service to take us down the hill. The ceremony location was beautiful overlooking the water feature and bridge. The patio had the tent already set up with water stations and drinks nearby. Such a beautiful space! And lights everywhere for when the sun started to set!

Nella Terra is as beautiful as it looks! My husband and I got married here in September and both the venue itself and Nella Terra's team are exceptional. We allowed ourselves two years to plan, but having Nella Terra's preferred list of vendors made it so much easier. Kendall at Nella Terra was always available and ensured our special day went off without a hitch. Her and our team of vendors are truly superheroes! Nella Terra was the first venue we toured and we knew right away, it was the one. In September, the hills turn this gorgeous golden color and we took photos during sunset. The venue really speaks for itself and Nella Terra's team is incredibly skilled and coordinated. I couldn't imagine our wedding coming together like it did without their support! We just got married on 9.29 and it was the best day ever!! Thank you to Kendall and the whole Nella Terra team for being absolutely wonderful throughout the entire wedding planning process. You helped make our wedding day so special and we are forever grateful for you. Our guests said it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. The food, staff, service, ambiance - everything was perfect. The wedding planners at Simply Lovely are also fabulous. Thank you for making us feel like not just another couple that you are servicing and making it feel personal and special. Good customer service goes a long way and the staff at Nella Terra is wonderful.

I had my Indian wedding at Nella Terra in October. It was a truly perfect day. The venue was stunning and the Nella Terra, On the Vine, and Simply Lovely Events teams were on top of everything. We only had a few meetings over the last year leading up to the big day, but everything executed flawlessly. The guests were very impressed by the surrounding beauty and timeliness of the entire event. The reception was in the tent, which offered a very intimate vibe even for a party of 200 guests. I could not have imagined a better way to get married. Thank you to Kendall and the Nella Terra team.

Rating Breakdown: 1/2 Stars for Taste -- The tea probably came off the local supermarket shelf, which is fine, but let's just say that we are pretty serious about our tea. My friend literally pulled a sachet of tea out of her bag and we were tempted to ask them to use that instead. The scones were dense but tasty. We were surprised that they were not served with clotted cream. The savory sandwiches were just OK -- pickled cucumbers, smoked salmon, and chicken salad on slightly stale baguettes. There was a slice of red velvet cake, a dry macaron, and a square of a mango mousse reminiscent of those you get at an Asian buffet. 0.5/1 Stars for Value -- We pre-booked online for a regular tea set on a Sunday, it was $39 before tax and tip. If we were rating by sheer picture perfect presentation, sure, your money is well spent. But I would eat before you come and maybe grab some McDs after. 1/1 Stars for Customer Service -- Our server was super nice and friendly. It wasn't busy when we went and he let me chill at the table while I waited for my friends to arrive. They also didn't pressure us to leave, coming back multiple times to offer tea refills. My friends stayed and chatted for almost 4 hours. No bonus star because, even though the ostriches are cool, would not come back again for the afternoon tea.

We have been able to try various tasting menus and as a group we really like their peacock zin, cuvee dray, and the sparkling. Recently we tried the wine train experience which worked out quite well since it was actually pretty sunny after a rainy November week. As we were celebrating some birthdays they decorated a chalkboard sign with our names and welcomed us with some sparkling. The guide warned us that there would be plenty of pours and some snacks at our final stop, so we grabbed a pack of crackers and some meat to tide us over. The train is really cute with barrel seats. However, be warned that it is quite a bumpy ride, so you may want to finish what's in your glass before it starts. It can also get pretty warm in the train, as we ended up not needing our jackets. We got to taste some of the grapes off the vines and many photo shoot opportunities as our guide told us some fun history tidbits. We ended at the water tower where there was more wine and a snack plate waiting for us. The decor in the water tower was really cute and festive for fall. The minimum for the train is 8 paid spots and the maximum is 14. The trolley could definitely comfortably fit that many. Their merch is really cute, and someone almost always find something to go home with. One last note, we love their French onion dip as well and look forward to having that each visit.

From the breathtaking architecture and lush vineyards to the impeccable service, every detail felt truly magical - it was beyond anything we could have imagined. My husband and I were searching for a venue that captured that rustic Italian/Spanish villa charm - we loved the idea of a wine country wedding, but many Napa/Sonoma venues were completely out of budget. Then we found Casa and it was everything we hoped for and more. We decided to DIY almost all of our décor (so much so that we arrived with a U-Haul!), and I was nervous about how everything would come together. But the staff at Casa Real completely exceeded our expectations. They were incredibly organized, patient, and accommodating, which took so much stress off of us. Despite hiring external day-of coordinators, our on-site coordinator, Jenny, was a standout. She was warm, proactive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding perfect. Every interaction with her felt like we were in great hands. The entire Casa Real team was also very flexible and professional when working with our external vendors -- everyone from our live painter to our photo booth, rental company, and DJ felt supported by the venue staff. One of my favorite moments was during cocktail hour: we barely had time to grab bites ourselves, but our servers made sure we were taken care of. They literally trailed us with hors d'oeuvres and champagne so we could enjoy the food and drinks without missing a moment - it was such a thoughtful touch! Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the flawless flow of the evening, the gorgeous grounds, and the outstanding hospitality. Casa Real's grand ballroom felt romantic and elegant, and the staff's professionalism helped preserve our vision while keeping everything seamlessly on schedule. If you're a couple hoping for a venue that values service as much as style, I cannot recommend Casa Real enough. They went above and beyond for us and helped create the most memorable day of our lives. We'll forever be grateful to Jenny and the entire team for their care, attention to detail, and overall excellence.

An absolute dream for all of you winos out there. I came across this event on the Alameda County Fair website. I had planned to attend the fair, but couldn't figure out which date that I wanted to go. But once I saw this event, I knew that I just had to go and check it out because it just sounded too good to be true! I paid $45 for the event which included admission into the fair. Parking was not included, and I prepaid for parking online which costed $10. This event was actually held on the field right in the middle of the horse races! I was given a wrist band that included in and out privileges, but I ended up staying there the whole time since I got there about an hour and a half after it started. The event was held between 2 and 5 pm, but I rolled in "fashionably late" (ahem!) at 3:30pm. I actually feel like this was a great time to go because the lines weren't excessively long, and I might have passed out from all of the wine if I would have kept drinking. There were over 40 different wineries pouring their most popular and award winning wines! There were many local wineries as well as a few that I had recently visited while wine tasting in Mendocino county! Way too many to name, but there was so much variety! The pourers were mostly volunteers, so many of them didn't know too much about the wineries and the background of the wines. However, this event wasn't meant to be intimate as there were so many different wineries that were showcasing their wines. There were many shaded tables and chairs around where people could sit. They also had a big wager tent where people could sip while betting on the horse races! I did not participate in the betting this time around, but I would like to do it next year for sure. I must have tried over 50 different wines that day! A word of advice to anyone who is thinking about coming out: drink lots of water and pace yourself! I believe that they had a water stand available in the wagering tent, but I just brought my own. Unfortunately, I didn't follow my own advice and didn't pace myself. I'll let you figure out how the night ended... In any event, the Sip, Savor, & Wager was really fun! I met lots of people, mingled around, and tried many different wines that I had never tried before. There were also a few food trucks around for those who didn't get a chance to eat. This was the first time that this event was held in conjunction with the Alameda County Fair and I think it was an excellent turn out! Being able to get a closeup view of the horse races was icing on the cake. I definitely plan to attend the event next year if they decide to have it again!

Then cocktail hour started and the bartenders were great and friendly and the alcohol and drinks were really good. The hordouvres/appetizers were amazing!! I liked how they came out and served them and they kept on coming, I ate so much I was worried I was going to be to full for dinner. The bacon wrapped something, I think dates?
