I have eaten here a few times and never disappointed. Had the scallops with mushroom risotto. I honestly moaned it was so delicious!! It was probably the best meal I have had in a very long time. I really enjoyed take out from this place. I can't say much about the atmosphere but I did go in and pick up my food at the bar. It had a cozy feel and felt like it must be a popular place for the locals. I'm sure the regulars were bellied up to bar! They had nice dividers up between every 2 seats and they took covid precautions serious. I started with the crab bisque soup who h was so good on this cold evening. Awful experience at this sorry excuse for a restaurant. Had a dinner reservation but when we arrived there was nobody at the host stand. As we stood there at least five drffer employees looked our direction most of them making eye contact yet not one of them could be bothered to walk over or even say a single word to me or my wife. What an amazing experience! A hidden gem, service was exceptional. Tea glass always filled. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about menu items. The wedge salad was delicious and the dressing extremely tasty. The beet salad was also delicious. I hade the Maple leaf duck and it was the best I've ever eaten. The lobster fettuccine was flavorful lobster was tender that melted in your mouth. This is an amazing, excellent experience. This is a must try Restraunt. Beware. Attempted to purchase a gift card online. Purchase went through, but never received the gift card. Attempts to contact Nemo by phone and email went unanswered and finally had to dispute the purchase. My husband and I were there for our ten year anniversary and were sadly disappointed. They didn't have our reservation but were happy to seat us, as the restaurant was not busy. However, they put us in a corner right next to barn doors that opened to a group dinner. The noise in there was loud and servers were constantly in and out. I even had to get up a few times to open the barn doors when the servers were carrying too many plates. We commented a few times on the noise level and nobody offered to move us, even with the restaurant being nearly empty. The food was good but did not make up for the lack of consideration we received. I guess the bigger room was paying a bigger bill so‍ Oh, and if you're wondering if a kindly worded email will get their attention, forget it. I have lived in Avon my whole life and somehow never ate in this restaurant. Oh my 27th birthday my boyfriend took me here and it was such the experience. It felt like fine dinning in our cute little town. Mad I did not come here sooner! We ordered our food had great service and convos and then left with full tummies off to the movies. Tried Nemo after reading a lot of views on Yelp. It's was good, but not great. We sat on the patio which is cute, but you are staring at traffic, so the view is not special. Prices are on the higher side. Bread and butter was good. Bread was crusty on the outside, soft on the inside and served warm. The butter was a bit sweet. Crispy risotto cakes for an appetizer were tasty. 3 cakes. The diver scallops were good, but the accompanying was stellar. NY strip with horseradish Demi glacé was just okay. Mashed potatoes were highlight. Dessert was disappointing for two reasons. First, the bread pudding wasn't that good. It lacked flavor. And then they didn't honor the Yelp checking coupon for free dessert so we ended up paying for it even after telling the waiter about it before ordering. read more

5 out of 5 without a doubt. Went here for family members birthday with a group of 5. Place was busy, but service was excellent. The place is an old house, so layout is snug but nice. Helen was our waitress, and was a rockstar!! Got the steak special which was good. Also got the Cajun shrimp app, which was amazing, I just wish there was more shrimp. Also got app of calamari which was also great. After got the dessert of flan, which was amazing and the brownie, which was large and soo chocolaty words can't describe. New to the area and a friend of mine recommended this place. Said to arrive at 5 and sit at the bar for an amazing experience. We did just that and we're greeted by a rude female bartender with short hair who was saving seats for her friends. There were at least 5-6 seats open and she would not let us sit down. Saving bar seats is not a practice I would encourage if you want to attract new customers. We will never return. read more

My wife and I have dined there and many many many occasions. It has become a local favorite and someday we will even take our children when it is appropriate. The food is fantastic, and the drinks which are made by your waiter or waitress are always top shelf. The wait staff is our favorite; we have gotten to know many of them by first name, and feel very at home here. The Decour is incredible; as it is a century home are you feeling very intermittently connected with every space you're in. I always say that I don't do 5-Star reviews often and I don't however when I do I make sure to take the time to do that and boy does Nemo deserve it. We were going to plan something downtown CLE and then remembered playing poker with somebody who recommended Nemo. Best decision I have made all month. From the very start in the bar and until the end of our meal we were awestruck. Each of the folks that made us drinks that night had a little different flair of how THEY did it (although gave us options to have our original bartender make the drink for us). Mike in the bar made us a few Old Fashions and they were only second to the one I make at home (It's probably one of those things that you get to liking your recipe, my guess is that Mikes is 100X better in all reality). Fine work by Mike and super attentive to making sure we were taken care of. We were seated in the corner (4-Top for my wife and I) and while people had told me were were in for a treat, I was not ready for how excellent everything was. The drinks our server made for us were a little different take on the old fashion (I sure do wish I could remember her name :( ), she had a little kick to hers on the tongue. It's not often that you can sit down and ask the server to have the Chef prepare whatever cut of beef he likes to cook (the only thing I had to order was adding the lobster) man he killed it (and even came to visit us at the table, nice touch for an anniversary dinner). My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass that had this killer truffle sauce that even tasted really good when the Del was dipped in it. We grabbed dessert to go because we were so stuffed and ended up eating it the next day and while no dessert is good the next day the cheesecake was fantastic (even the creme brulee was right on). Nemo is a hidden gem if you ask me, I have been in and around that town for the better part of 30 years and I am so impressed with how Avon has landed an establishment like this and we cannot wait to go back a few more times to try other dishes. As the parents of two foodies they now expect Nemo to be in the weekly rotation of dining. If that doesn't tell you something! The food is always of high quality, flavorful, fresh and a unique experience. While we have some static favorites the specials are not to be missed and often create some careful decisions. One of the best meals I've ever eaten! The Lobster fettuccine! Holy mole! I order it as a takeout dish with the Stuffed Banana Peppers. And, the Lobster fettuccine was to die for! Even after a 15 Minute car ride, it was still hot, sitting in an incredible pancetta cream sauce. The lobster tail was enormous and poached in butter to perfection. Spinach fettuccine, cooked al dente, had an incredible taste paired with the Lobster, cream, and roasted tomatoes and mushrooms. I'd hold this dish up to any pasta I've ever eaten. 5 stars! Also, the Stuffed Banana Peppers are top notch, with a sweet basil tomato marinara. Not too spicy, but served with smoked mozzarella and provolone that is a great addition to the Italian sausage. I can't wait to go back for more! The staff is amazing and Nemos should be at the top of your list for the best meal I've had in a long time! read more

Quaint historic location with romantic setting. Celebrating 26th anniversary and the location is perfect. Helen our hostess was pleasant, informative, available but not intrusive. The assistant hostess was a young lady that was pleasant and eerily fast...in a good way. The chicken Marsala was perfect. Served hot with gravy that enhanced the flavor of the moist chicken and mashed potatoes! My wife raves about the Divers scallops and the risotto. My wife was unusually quiet as she enjoyed her meal. We stopped into Nemo Grille on a whim, just to see what it was all about. It was ok... Staff was friendly and not overly attentive but, available when needed. Menu had plenty to offer but, even though our meals were good, we didn't feel like they were impressive. We will definitly give Nemo Grille one more chance before writting it off. read more

Quickly sat down for our reservation and was greeted quickly. We sat on covered porch area which was nice but a bit noisy due to being right on the road. Ordered 2 lobster bisque which were absolutely delicious. For our entrees i had short ribs and husband had filet mignon. unfortunately short ribs were actually dry & tough, not fork tender like other reviews.
