Prices are more than fair for this retro arcade. If you're looking for some fun I'd definitely recommend coming here. Lots of single player and multiplayer games, great staff, and plenty of space.

Omg what a fun place!! Came here for a date night and it was so fun. It wasn't too crowded and we paid for an hour to play. We got to try pretty much everything and it was all so fun. The worker was friendly and helped us out when our pin ball machine got stuck. I would definitely be back and this place is fun for all ages!

Bought a group pack for a group of 10. It's $20 per person for two hours instead of the $15 for one hour or $25 for all day. For a group of 10 adults, I figured two hours was enough. And it was! My group arrived mostly together, but they gave me a wrist band for my friend that was running late and a voucher for a friend who ended up not joining. There's some drinks and snacks available for purchase, but they don't let you bring your own food. We went to a restaurant after the fact so appreciated them having a place to store my cake. This isn't a barcade so you're sharing the space with kids and their parents, but every time I've been here, it's been nice to see different generations play together (at worst some kids have hogged the consoles, but adults do the same lol). If you're aiming to mostly be around adults, weekday nights are your best bet and special events. Some games need some R&R, but most were in good to great condition. Everyone in my group had a blast and honestly it's nice to have an outing without alcohol where you can revert back to your childhood self for a bit!

$15 for 1 hour of play is really fun! Unlimited amount of play at one game. No need coins or anything. There is shooting games, pin ball machines, fighting games, etc. Very Fun! There is a restroom. Place is clean. Parking at parking garage is $1 for 2 hours.

We were wandering around old town Pasadena, and discovered this place. It was a hot day, and they have strong air conditioning. The cashier is friendly, and he explained to us that it would be $15 per person per hour with all free play. There were lot of retro games (e.g. street fighters, police academy, Mario carts etc.). We spend a fun hour in this place. There are a few parking structures around the old town Pasadena area. Will come back again.

I went to Neon Retro Arcade recently with a pal. We purchased our tickets online. We bought individual tickets to play games for 2 hours. We had fun. We played arcade games as well as games on consoles. I like that there was a Valentine's Day photo op at the time. The place is a bit small, but we were still able to navigate it just fine.

This place is so fun. They have a good assortment of old video games from the 80's and 90's along with some pinball machines. It's located near lots of restaurants and parking structures. It wasn't too loud and they had a decent bathroom. We experienced the joy sticks were giving us delayed reactions on some of the games so that was a little frustrating but they're old machines so it's to be expected. Overall we had tons of fun. The games are set to free game mode by the way so no coins or play cards needed.

Great 90's vibe inside this quaint arcade situated a block south of Old Town Pasadena. Friendly counter staff, clean machines, and a good mix of classic arcade games, unique pinball machines, and even a couple of wall TVs with Xbox/Playstation games. Customer bathroom inside. Reasonably priced hourly rates. Stayed a little over an hour and the time flew by. Perfect stop for some good laughs.

Visiting from out of town and staying at a nearby hotel, we were looking for a place the kids might enjoy. This fit the bill perfectly. $15 for each of us for an hour. Gal gave us an extra ten minutes cause we had to wait a bit to get checked in. There were only a couple other folks in there on a Wednesday afternoon so the four of us had no problem getting on any game we wanted. Pinball machines for me. Only one wasn't working right. Place was clean. Best part was the AC was working just fine cause it was so HOT out. An hour was just the right amount of time for everyone to play what they wanted to.

Ask the Community - Neon Retro Arcade

What are least busiest times to go?

We’re busiest on Saturday and Sunday before 4pm. If you’re looking for a quieter time to visit, try weekdays or right at open (12pm). 😃

Are the arcade games old school and take quarters or do you need to purchase a playing card?

Thanks for your interest! Admission is $15/person for 1 hour of game time or $25/person for an all day pass. All of the games are set to “free play” so you can just walk up and press start. No quarters, tokens or game cards are needed.

Do you have food and drinks available ,alcohol?

No they do not. From what I saw a couple bottled drinks water etc. and I think I saw candy snacks.

Do y'all have Daytona USA or know of any place that does?

    Unfortunately, we do not :(

Hi. Are there games here that are appropriate for a 3 and a 5 year old? Thank you.

Hi there! I would say the arcade works best for ages 6+. Little kids visit often but require their parent’s help in figuring out how to play.

Please tell me do you have skee-ball?

Unfortunately, no. We specialize in retro video games & we have a few pinball machines.

Do they have Millipede? Not Centipede, but Millipede?

Yes, we currently have Millipede at our Pasadena location. A full list of our games is available here: http://neonretroarcade.com/games-pasadena.html

Hi can I know if adults need pay for admission or just the kids pay?

Adults are customers too, no? 😇 /// Truth be told, the staff there are very accommodating. I'd be surprised if they gave you a hard time about accompanying your young one. Then again, $10 gets you access to a boat load of arcade game. The Simpsons…

If i plan an event are all the games in the arcade available?

Yes, all of our games are included when you book a party. Games are usually shared with other arcade guests but we also have full facility rentals available.

    Is their a foosball table?

    No foosball, yet!

Can you reserve the whole place for special events?

Hi Gia, We rent out the facility for special events for up to 50 guests. For more information, please visit the following link and include details about your event in the notes section. Thank you! http://www.neonretroarcade.com/events.html

At what age do kids have to pay?

    5yo

Is there an air hockey table?

    No there is not :(

    Do they have a bar?

We do not have a bar or restaurant but we are located in a neighborhood with countless food and drink options for before or after game time. Thanks for reaching out!

Any parking for Neon Retro Arcade?/

It's self parking with the parking meters or you can use the parking structure and pay a fee .. I'd suggest arrive early .

Can it be 10 dollars per person or group?

Thanks for reaching out. Admission is $10/person for an hour of free play games; $25/person for an all day pass.

I've taken a special needs young adult client there twice now. At $20 for a minimum card load, the value is... eh considering the selection of games. I've been only on Wednesdays, so we're literally the only customers there. I'm really not interested in going on the weekends because I wouldn't care for crowds of youngsters in a tiny place like that. Basically, it seems to me that the purpose of iPlay is to elevate dominoes pizza next door into a Chuck E. Cheese. The female attendant there kind of hawk eyed my client and I, and it felt a bit uncomfortable. With the dinky selection of games in the limited space, iPlay as a hole is a bit underwhelming. But for all your parents doing birthday parties or just wanting to kill some time, it serves its purpose.

You're not cramped in here fighting for space. Game-wise... don't come here expecting anything crazy. There's nothing super serious for hardcore gamers, no rare cabinets or anything you're gonna geek out over. It's more like solid, familiar stuff. That said, it does work really well as a date spot because there's a lot of co-op games, so you're not just standing there awkwardly -- you actually have something to do. Now the food... I still haven't gone deep into it, but the wing deal is actually a good deal for these times, which is rare. That alone makes it worth pulling up on a Tuesday. Menu is kinda big though, and anytime I see a big menu like that I start side-eyeing the kitchen a little bit... like yeah some of this gotta be frozen But overall? It's a good spot for wings and beer without spending Ye Rustic money. If you're trying to keep it chill and not blow your wallet, this is a solid move. Not a gamer spot, not a foodie spot... just a good hang.
