You ever need a break? Or someone to be nice to you. That's the kind of day I am having. And I decided to go buy Nespresso so my day isn't a total wash. Yeah - like it was a really bad day. But I have been to the Nespresso store in The Prudential Center before and it is a lot of the time business as usual. But not today. The saleslady, a pretty blonde woman, was super kind while helping me with my deals. She told me about ways to save with the autoreplenish and offered to help me set it up. It's a long story but I declined and ordered 10 sleeves and got two free. After telling me all the ways to save money and the current promotions, she offered me a cup of coffee. I got to sit still and enjoy my coffee in peace and tranquility. Taking in the moment, while I know I am about to go back into Boston traffic to drive back to the North Shore. I did not try the cafe, but overall would recommend going in person if you're curious about any flavors before ordering a whole sleeve. Again. I'm standing here right now as he's taking care of the two people that walked in after me. I walked in and just as soon be invisible. No joke there's only two people at the register. I had just walked in ahead of them. Absolutely horrible service. The store needs to clean up their "Greater than thou stuck up attitude", and the manager needs retraining to ensure their staff NEVER puts administrative work ahead of a good customer experience. HOWEVER, Nespresso as a brand, receives 10 stars in my book. Their attentiveness to my concerns go over and above the call of elegance and professionalism (and their coffees and products are absolutely wonderful). As for the store, thanks once again for making my couple of times a year visit to Boston/Going to Eataly a bitter cup to drink. Cold, rude, snooty, stuck up, underpaid and over attitude staff. Ok so have been back a few times. Tonight's experience took the cake. The woman checking people in was far too preoccupied with her phone to actually help anyone. When we walked in my friend didn't hear the associate call his name and also didn't hear when he said "oh well guess not" and proceeded to help customers that came in after us. For a "boutique store", we ALL expect better. I have stopped using and supporting Nespresso, and this "boutique" was the deciding factor. read more

This place has the absolute worst most understaffed service. Its been this way for 2 years and its disappointing that nothing has changed. I bought my machine online and use their pods; however this location sucks. The coffee bar has a 15 minute wait just to order because they only have one certified person available to make the drinks who is busy being a sales rep for their machines. So u must wait for the store to not have anyone waiting since they will obviously prioritize anyone browsing at machines over making a coffee. Either have more people staffed or remove the coffee bar inside. read more

A Truly Disappointing and Bizarre Experience at Nespresso Prudential Center If I could give zero stars, I would. My visit to the Nespresso Boutique in the Prudential Center was frustrating from the moment I walked in. The entire experience was disorganized, unwelcoming, and frankly beneath the standards of a brand that claims to be premium. When I entered, I walked right past the greeter or at least I later realized she was the greeter. At the time, she gave no indication that she was there to help. She was completely absorbed in her cellphone and made no effort to engage or inform me that I needed to check in or be assigned to an associate. I wandered around the store aimlessly, waiting for someone to offer assistance. No one did. Eventually, when I tried to look at the coffee options myself, I was told not to touch the sleeves because they were for display only. So I was expected to wait indefinitely for help from a staff that didn't acknowledge me, while also not being allowed to explore the products on my own. The entire setup was confusing and borderline hostile. When I finally did get someone's attention to ask about sampling the White Chocolate Strawberry coffee, I was told it wasn't available to try. But the associate generously offered to let me buy a full sleeve and he would make me a cup. That is not a sample. That is a transaction disguised as generosity. For a brand that is trying to project a premium image, Nespresso might want to start by getting their customer service together. There is nothing premium about being ignored, corrected, and made to feel like a burden for simply wanting to explore products. Between the distracted greeter and the unhelpful floor staff, the experience was completely off-putting. I left without buying anything and with no intention of returning. You are better off ordering online or going literally anywhere else for coffee. At least there, someone might actually acknowledge that you exist. read more

This review is based on the experience I had on 4/19/23 with Garry. First of all - Thank you so much for making my experience well worth the hour and a half drive (again) I originally made a purchase with another team member on 4/11 and got all the way home to find that the bag given to me was not my order. I called Nespresso right away to make sure I'd be able to go back in store and get the order that I actually paid for and they assured me it wouldn't be a problem. (The original person I worked with was lovely and we had a great conversation re: all things coffee. Mistakes happen, we are human) Anyway! Garry and the assistant manager were able to pull up my order and get all of the pods I originally bought, I was a little worried they'd be out of the limited edition coffee's but they weren't. Thank you again Garry - you were fantastic and my inner coffee lover can't wait to try out my new pods. read more

The whole process to purchase pods is laughable. Waiting in a queue to purchase something you know what you already want is ridiculous. Took over 20 minutes to get service which speaks volume to the need for a direct point of sale and not the lousy attempt to elevate an experience. At this point you are better off buying online than the pain of trying to purchase anything from this store. read more

We found this place in the Prudential Center looking for a nice hot cup of coffee. At first it just looks Dispenser store, but once you go inside the store towards the left they do have a mini coffee shop. I ordered the honey cinnamon latte, and it was pretty decent. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back here again, but it was good enough coffee while in a pinch. The service was good the workers were friendly, and I would recommend it if you're in the area and need a cup of coffee. read more

I've tried to buy pods at the Boston location for 2 years. The last time was this past weekend. Every time I go I'm told it'll be a few minutes but I never get helped... I just wait forever even when there's nobody in line before me, or maybe 1 person waiting to be helped before me, yet I'm waiting 30-45 minutes until I finally give up and go home and order online. It shouldn't take this long to buy coffee... I've been to nespresso stores all over the world and It's never been this bad. read more

Amazing sales team. The employees are right away friendly and ask questions about what your looking for so they can get you to the best employee in that area. Our salesman over sold us ALOT and was not upset about it at all. It's rare I get upsold becuase I usually know what I want and I stick to it. We bought a brand new machine with over 20 sleeves and got an amazing kit with purchase of coasters and beautiful temperature controlled mugs. I love all their new seasonal flavors. Hazelnut and vanilla are my favorite pods to get. I reccomend this store. I travel from Rhode Island just to come here! We hadn't even planned or thought of going to Nespresso Boutique Bar. Yet, as we found ourselves walking up Newbury Street on a Friday evening in search of Georgetown Cupcake, we spotted it and on a whim decided to get some coffee. I'm not much of a coffee drinker but my husband is. I figured that I would find something that I would like---and I was right! When we walked in, we weren't sure how things worked. There were some tables and we noticed that servers attended to them. Then we noticed the bar and decided to sit there. The barista behind the counter gave us menus but we didn't need them as there was a list of various drinks and what they cost that was put on a wall at the bar. He brought over 2 glasses of water, then we gave him our order. I wish that they had a menu online so I could check if I have the correct name of the drink I ordered but I think it was called "iced salted caramel latte". It sounded good, so why not? When I ordered it, the barista pointed out that it had salted caramel ice cream in it and asked if that was okay---of course it was LOL! My husband ordered a cup of cappuccino. I watched as my drink was made and noticed that they use Blue Bunny ice cream (I don't know---I just figured that they would use a pricier ice cream). When I got the drink, I was given a spoon and a straw. Once receiving the drink, I noticed that it had to be mixed well before drinking since the coffee was on the bottom followed by the ice cream. This was a tasty (and no doubt high calorie!) drink. I had to make myself slowly savor it. My one criticism---I tasted no salt, just caramel. My husband enjoyed his cappuccino and said he would have it again. Before the tip, the cost was $14. We would go again next time we're in town :) read more

Delicious, strongly flavored coffee. It's my new favorite pit stop for dessert drinks if I'm looking to enjoy a little piece of luxury. It's on the same bar as LA Burdick's hot chocolate with regards to richness in taste. All their drinks are visually appealing and their cafe has a chic vibe. Their chairs are oh so comfortable. Recs: +Pistachio iced coffee (certainly unique and a great option for my nutty aficionado friends out there). +Iced caffe (coffee with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.) They do the bare minimum. I walked in and went to buy my usual but I also like to sometimes try a sleeve of the limited edition flavor. There were 7 employees in the store and only one bothered to help me after a few minutes of waiting. Then he also couldn't describe any of the limited edition flavors so I left without buying any of those. I've been to the store on newbury and the boutique in Chestnut Hill Bloomingdales and this one was the worst. The others are pleasant. Also, I downgraded them to a 1 because I realized when I got home the gave me the ristretto decaf instead of the one I asked for (arpeggio) which means they couldn't even do the bare minimum of their job correctly! read more

My experience with customer service over the phone was not any different in terms of horrible customer service. over the phone, they were more polite but they made mistakes with the order, promised what they didn't follow through and the issue was not solved after being on the phone for 30 min twice. love the coffee but i save myself the trip to the store and get my favorite flavors online. For a new store, there's no staff enthusiasm nor product knowledge. When I asked one of the associates about a flavor, she stops in the middle of her answer and says, "Sorry, I'm just really tired..." and stops servicing me altogether. She then goes to chit chat with another one of her associates. They were more interested in observing the plants in their store than servicing and converting their customers. How can everyone there be so lethargic surrounded by caffeine? Another associate that rung me up couldn't tell me what certain adjectives that were used to describe some of the flavors on their menus meant. It's unfortunate the location on Newbury Street closed. I'm sure the product basically sells itself, but it'll be nice to interact with friendly, knowledgeable associates. read more

I understand covid times can be challenging for businesses (I am a nurse), but to straight up lie to our faces multiple times is unacceptable. We tried to contact customer service or the manager at the store and there was no number. We were told we couldn't come into the store, because there was a staffing change at 2:30, and they needed to sanitize the store. They told us it would be 15 minutes so we waiting outside the store. 2:30 came and the current staff went into the back, no cleaning of the store was done and it was after 3pm when the new staff came out... so not only did you not clean the store but the new staff also did not come out right away. Next the staff member handling the front door told us to order online, and they will get our order ready. She told us it should be out as soon as they receive the order. We waiting until 3:15 until the next staff was out and had to ask them about our order, which we could see the staff member go and pick our order, so let another lie. Lastly if you park in the prudential center garage any store can validate your ticket so it's only 3 or 4$ instead of 13$ for an hour with a certain amount (which we exceeded that amount at nepresso). We handed our ticket to the sales person and he did something on his computer for 5 minutes handed us back our ticket saying "all set thanks". We go to pull out of the garage and the price was 13$ so not validated at all. Thanks man, after spending over 200$ on coffee glad you treated us like shit. read more

Awesome cafe. Got the iced Melozio. It was so incredibly smooth and flavorful, but not bitter at all. Super friendly and informative customer service. My friend and I got to talking to other people at the coffee bar which was also a fun experience. Will definitely need to come back for the tasting bar. I really love the atmosphere of the cafe, it's like a bar/lounge, but still with a cafe feel. Can't wait to go back! read more

Wonderful, wonderful iced coffee. I take my iced coffee black, and it was cold and strong -- the perfect thing to drink while walking around Boston Public Gardens. This coffee bar is just a short walk from the gardens, so it was where we stopped to grab a beverage. The baristas are super quick, too -- I hardly had to wait at all from the time that I ordered until I received my coffee. And in case you're wondering: Yes, they have a nice bathroom here! read more
