This company is a scam. I have the same issues with most of the other reviews, where they would come out and accept the initial service charge, but would never follow up. I've called to receive call back and nothing. They keep changing the dates and I've now requested a different service company for repair. Horrible company stay away from. Choice chose this company for my fridge repair. I wish I had read the reviews 1st. The tech ordered a part that was making a noisey clunking sound associated with the freezer. He installed it a couple of weeks later. Another week later the fridge was making a beeping noise I think is related to the install because the sensor not recognizing the freezer as closing. So I tried to reach the company for a follow up for over a week and they haven't responded. These jokers are the worst. Get the money and run should be their slogan. Very dissatisfied, will never use again and would not recommend to anyone! Came out and charged for initial service call in August. Said I would receive a quote within a few days. I never heard back. I followed up 5 times via text and 5 phone calls. I only got two responses after I was a little short. This was over the course of two months. The technician was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The service fee was paid and this was the last time we'd see anyone from Ness to make final repairs. I would think that 6 weeks would be enough time to return, but all we got were excuses about why the technician wasn't going to make the scheduled appointment!! They made no concerted attempt to remedy this as soon as possible and I would have to be the one who initiated contact with Ness about our repair!! The lack of response and constant follow-up is unacceptable. The comments made by other customers that the part was ordered incorrectly is very interesting as the same thing happened to us. How does this pattern of saying the company sent the wrong part be used to tell customers be acceptable. This is a repeated pattern by the company. I was feeling encouraged when 13 days ago the correct part would be delivered but now was told the delivery company could not deliver but that it would be delivered 14 days ago and that the would call me when in hands. i still don't have a working refrigerator! Ness was selected by Choice Warranty. Reviews were not good so we were not surprised that we have been lied to every time we phoned to get an update. Never heard from them. The warranty company is not without fault -- having such horrible reviews, why do business with them??? Thankfully, we charged the fee on a credit card which we were able to cancel with the card company. Can't imagine why they run a business so poorly but they do. Had a service call with Choice Home Warranty for fridge control panel not working. Paid the service fee and a part was to be ordered. I follow up with them weekly for 4 weeks and kept getting told the part had not yet been delivered. Then no further contact. The phone number 979-599-4820 no longer works and the voice mail box is fu. Choice Home Warranty was no help because over a month had elapsed and they had closed the ticket and I would need to open a new ticket and pay a new fee. I am beyond furious at both companies. My fridge broke down. Technician Austin came out and was quick to identify the issue, explained everything clearly and knowledgably, was professional and polite. He also gave my helpful advice and handled everything with a great attitude and helped to alleviate my anxieties. I HIGHLY recommend Ness Appliance Repair, because they are one of the few companies that didn't try to add on a bunch of unnecessary charges and aim for an arm and a leg. I submitted a claim through Choice Home Warranty Company in September 2024. Once they approved Ness Appliance to perform the repair, they did not stay true to performing the repair. They do not communicate effectively. When you call the number, it says to leave a message or text message and they will call or text you back. They rarely did that. When CHW asked them for an update, Ness Appliance replied with the arrival date for the part. The first time was in October, but the part did not come on the day they estimated. They did not notify me or CHW. I called and texted and CHW sent another message for an update. They would only answer my calls a few times but not most of the time. They would only text back after I text a few times for an update. When they gave another update, they said the expected date of arrival for the part was another month later. November comes and still no update from Ness until a message is sent and they said the part would arrive on December 15th. It is now January and we still have not heard from Ness Appliance. I have had to complain to CHW numerous times to the point that they are now looking not to use them for service. read more

On January 15th this company came out to fix our stove and to fix our dryer for a squeal. Promised he could fix it easily just needed to order 3 ignitors for the stove and service the dryer. Even though one visit had to pay 2 service calls. Not a word was communicated to me for a month. Once I did get ahold of someone, they told me that only 2 of the 3 ignitors came in but they have the part ordered. Still no oven or no dryer. A few weeks pass and call again and give me a date a time. Take off work and wait. At 430 I call and am told that he is stuck in Temple with 2 people in front of me they guarantee someone would be there that night. At 10 I gave up. So call the next day to see thinking that they would honor there promise. No they said they came out and no one was there. They rang my door bell and no answer so I am being buried to the bottom and the job in Houston was more important. The next week I call and am told that the parts came in but broken. They are on order again. Easter comes and set a time. Again take off work am promised a noon service time. At 130 I call and am told that once again they came and no one answered and no phone call was made to me. I tell them I think it is funny that they say no one answered the door bell when the insides are removed from my door bell and all that is there is a case that no one can mistake ad having a doorbell. Memorial day weekend was promised someone will be there on Thursday. That morning got a text saying there was a family emergency. And now here we are 4th of July and still no oven or dryer (the heating element went out) No one ever answers the phone or returns a text. Contracted with Ness via Choice Home Warranty. The tech came out quickly, I paid the service fee, and he politely gave me a diagnosis that my microwave needed to replaced due to electrical arcs that had punched a hole through my wave guard. What followed was a month-long argument with Choice and their refusal to replace the unit because the damage was not due to "normal wear and tear". When I reminded them that my oven was 14 years old, and asked what Ness reported to them, they said they did not have the report or a diagnosis but based their decision on the fact that electrical arcs "usually" occur because people put metal in the oven and the damage must have been our error. The report never materialized and Choice eventually sent us a gift card for 20% of the replacement cost while fraudulently claiming that we agreed to it as a "favor to us for being good customers". Ness and Choice seem to be of the same mind -- deny every claim and act like it's the other company's fault. read more

Where do I start ! Horrible Liars that my home warranty hired twice. Ending to it all my dryer heating element was never repaired but bypassed this past summer. Here we are in December and it went out again and still not working supposedly now thermostat out . I got sick of it and my husband repaired it in 5 minutes and noticed my heating element was never repaired and was still bypassed that Could've caused major damage! Horrible . I, too, had the same experience as many other reviewers. They came out, took my service charge payment, and then the back-and-forth game of ordering a part, oops, wrong part, and having to get another part began. This went on for three months. After being stood up by them again, although they claimed I was on the list for that night (it was already past 8 pm) and had two customers ahead of me, I had to submit another claim through my home warranty company. After not getting my freezer fixed for three months, I have to start all over again and pay an additional service charge. Unfortunately, my home warranty company was not helpful at all, and I will also be looking at canceling them once my freezer is finally fixed. This company was contracted through our home warranty company to repair a leaky refrigerator. The technician spent less than 5 minutes at my home to diagnose the problem and reported back to the warranty company. They scheduled a repair at the end of August 2023 only to cancel at the last minute. One month later and there was still no repair because the company claimed the part provided by the warranty company was the wrong part/out of stock. However, I was told by the company a new part was ordered and given a repair date. On the second scheduled ate of service, I called the company to get an ETA only to be told they had somehow thought I was a different customer and so scheduled a repair for me that was meant for another customer. Then, today, over two months from the original service request, I received a call cancelling the service repair scheduled for today because the technician determined - apparently only this morning - that this replacement part was also the incorrect part. Three strikes and this company is out. Horrible communication. Horrible service. Incompetent business operation. They will try to blame the warranty company, but there is no doubt this company bears responsibility for its poor value. read more

I'm very unhappy with Ness Appliance. I have and elderly Mother and disabled Brother had a problem with the refrigerator Ness came out and determined the compressor was out. He then told them he would have to order the part 3 weeks ago and he said he was coming out to replace it once it came in . Fast forward Ness Appliance didn't follow up on his agreement and now he's not answering his phone, email or texts. Choice Home Warranty put them on a waiting list for 24 to 48 hours and ask us to follow up if a technician doesn't contact us. This is very frustrating I called Choice and the gentleman answered had an attitude for no reason he sent my call to a lady that didn't provide either of their names. It's horrible my mom's and diabetic, high blood pressure and have trouble getting around my brother have MS and hasn't walked in 10 or more years. He performed a very quick assessment, and determined we need to replace the refrigerator. I paid the $100 and he left. That was 2 weeks ago and Home Warranty has heard nothing from Ness. I have tried calling, but get no returned call. I have called Home Warranty to check on my claim, and was informed that they cannot reach Ness. It seems that this company is not worthy of claiming to be a service company. I would give less than 1 star if possible. read more
