My son needed new shoes so we came to the outlets to try and replace them. We came to New Balance because we knew that they would have high quality, durable shoes. What we didn't expect, however, is how expensive they would be even in an outlet store. My son's shoes (who's 7) cost us over $50. And that's on discount! (For comparison I got new shoes at another athletic brand in the outlet & only paid $35 for mine). We were shocked. I think they were really hoping people would opt for the 'buy one get one half off' deal they had. I ended up also getting a shirt because of that. I wanted to spread that money across a few things. Like I mentioned before, I know New Balance is a good quality brand, but I never would have expected to be paying those prices on kids shoes. Especially when there are several other stores in the center that can beat those prices by more than half. Now I really hope my son's shoes last because I want to get every penny out of them before they have to be replaced. Staff was friendly, though limited. I only saw two or three for the whole store and that includes the one who was stuck behind the register. Lucky for us it wasn't too busy, but if it was, you'd have to spend a lot of time waiting around if you needed help with something. Pretty good sale prices and selection on shoes. They Also offer accessories and active wear. I can find good quality athletic shoes for my whole family here on a good day but regular prices tend to be high. For example we usually pay $44.99 for kid's shoes, I can find women's shoes on the clearance rack for under $50, but hubby needs a particular shoe called the 990 that is over $150. When we go in during the BOGO 1/2 off, then we save some $$$. Today was awesome and as usual quite by chance that we found clearance shoes for my son and daughter for only $20 per pair and they qualified for the Buy 2 get 1 free. Great store and service. I'm a disabled senior, so I couldn't care less about brand names or fancy styles, my main concern is quality, comfort, and assistance. After visiting several other stores, including large dept store chains, I discovered the New Balance Outlet store in Camarillo, even though this is a huge and busy place the moment I walked in, a salesperson approached and within 15 minutes I found not only one but two sneakers for walking and hiking. I'm really not a fan of the New Balance brand, but I did check this store out a time or two. This store, as other reviews have stated, is all about the shoes. There is minimal apparel, but I think they are most known for the shoes - so they are sticking with what they are good at. I think with this location, knowing the price point of a particular shoe you might be interested in, before you arrive. They do have some good prices and paired with the sales you can do quite well. But, if you don't know the going price, you may not be scoring 'outlet' prices. No interaction with staff since I didn't make any purchases, so I can't comment on the overall customer service that you may or may not get if you come shopping here. I drive from Santa Monica to the New Balance store in Camarillo at least once a year. Difficult to find my shoe size in any New Balance store but I always strike it rich at this particular store. I was there this past Saturday and was assisted by a manager named Rodolfo. Not only did he find a pair of tennis shoes in my size and width...but I ended up with two beautiful pairs and was able to receive the 50% discount...buy one get one half off. This New Balance store is all about the shoes. They have some apparel but it's the selection of feet huggers that keep people coming through the door. The way the shoes are displayed makes your search easy. Each style has its own space with the display model on top and matching boxed sizes below. Lots of benches to sit and try stuff on. Can't find your size, ask a friendly associate and they will be happy to check in back. Prices range from "yeah, this is outlet doable" to "no, still too high, I'll pass". When you find your size, be sure to check the width because some of the styles only have the Wide width and that might not be what you're looking for. Try them on to be sure. This is located kind of on the quieter side of the outlet so you can probably find parking a little closer to the store if that's your desire. read more

GOT 100% AMERICAN MADE SNEAKERS! Yup! How much? About $100+ Worth it? Every damned penny! How many models in this Outlet store? One, but that is all you need. Can you find other special or custom 100% ones at good prices? Yes, Ebey has all kinds...especially for various Marathons. I have the Boston Purple, the New York, etc... NB also has a custom design your own custom sneaker that has thousands of different color combos for around $200 ....only on their website. Do I have to remember the weird model #'s to get the 100% ones? No, just make sure that they are labeled as such. The model numbers vary from year to year. Weirdly the most expensive 100% ones for $220 are not as comfy as the $160 ones. Do they have nice service? Yes, but they are clueless kids. Can you be fooled by other sneakers in the store? Yes, there are cheaper ones that are NOT 100% Made in America..... ANYWAYS BUY the most expensive ones in the store. The Outlet price is still $20-50 cheaper than what you can get elsewhere...unless Nordstroms is clearing out last years model....& you can snag a 50% off deal. I order 5 pairs, that time! YAHHH!!!! Hubby and I stopped here on our way back from a "Sideways" weekend trip...New Balance shoes for $25, are you kidding? The store clerks here are retarded. I asked for a non-slip shoe, and they sold me a shoe that was not slip resistant. I live in Glendale, about 50 miles from this store, so the price of gas of returning the pair of shoes is not practical. I actually bought my New Balance ("NB") sneakers online recently, but when I came into this NB Factory Store at the Camarillo Outlets with my husband, I thought I'd ask if they sell any padding/liners for my sneakers and shoes. Not sure what even made me think of it because I usually just buy Dr. Scholl's liners from drug stores. Since we were going to be doing a lot of walking in NYC, I thought that perhaps NB might have something to offer. I never had any point of comparison, so I thought Dr. Scholl's cornered the market on this kind of stuff. I was wrong. I paid almost $30 for one pair at this NB store, which is shockingly high to me for liners, and I almost didn't make the purchase.... but something told me they'd be awesome....... and awesome, they are !! In fact, they are such high quality that I walked around NYC with almost NO complaints from my feet... and they usually give me some serious pain and discomfort, and that was with Dr. Scholl's already in place. The NB liners (I bought 2 pair) exceeded my expectations, and they brought me ultra comfort. Excellent arch support, heel and ball support too. I want to also mention the sales associate.... I told him what I wanted, and he brought me right to their display. He then handed me the one he thought best described what I was looking for. I'm glad he did because they had dozens to choose from, and they all looked the same. He got it spot on, and my feet have been happy ever since. I also bought some socks, and they are really soft and well padded as well. Considering I had brand new sneakers, and I waited till NYC to "break them in," I could/should have had some blisters, but I didn't have one because of all the cushion and comfort that I received from all these NB purchases. Gosh, I almost forgot.... I love the NB sneakers, too, even though I purchased online. They're still NB..... they're lightweight, kinda cool looking, and very comfortable..... especially now with the added help of the inserts and socks. Check this place out...... while kind of pricey, you do get what you pay for...... good quality..... and happy feet. read more

I buy one good pair of running shoes every 2-3 years. I was heading out to Camarillo to go to the Asics store. But on this trip I ended up at New Balance where I found their 860 model. Really loved the fit, stability and weight. It was pretty pricey but I'll pay for quality every couple of years. My wife also found a pair so I figured the Buy One Get One 50% was worth it. I'm happy with the shoes, BUT low and behold when I looked up the shoe later I learn A) last years model and B) it's online EVERYWHERE for $60 less than I paid. What happened to being an outlet factory store? Yes, I expect to find last year's models at the outlets, but certainly not to pay the same full price as the latest release. Maybe go here for the deal rack, but they certainly aren't working deals anywhere else. read more

This location always has a nice mix of styles and extremely affordable prices. The associates that work here are very attentive and pleasant during the shopping experience. I like unique tennis shoes that are comfortable and I believe New Balance kicks offer that. So both the hubby and I were able to find a pair of shoes. My 84 year old mother and I had such great customer service help from Carla at the Camarillo Outlet store yesterday, Nov.13th, that I really want to let the company know. We had specific needs and requirements to fit my mother and Carla went above and beyond to help us. She followed our needs and wants and even kept to our need to purchase shoes on sale. She went all around the store and pulled at least 7 different pairs of tennis for my mom to try on and really did ALL the work for us. My mom found a perfect pair with Carla's help. I can't properly express how much we appreciated the VIP service that Carla gave us. TERRIBLE service. Their clothing hangers advertise sales and discounts for NOT that item! Went into the store to look at their work out clothes and saw that the hangers had advertisements that said "sale 2 for $25", I pulled 2 pairs of pants in my size and take them up to the counter to check out. The cashier rings me up for close to $40, told her that that's not what is advertised on your racks. She sends one of her associates to check on the price, but wanders around the area not really with the intent of looking for my item. My husband had to pull the item off the rack to show her the advertisement that was hanging on the hanger. The associate and cashier then banter back and forth only to realize that THEY had put the sale advertisement on the wrong hangers. The cashier refused to honor their mistake and made me feel like I was the liar that switched their signs on the clothes. while waiting in line, the customer ahead of me had left in a huff, also because of mis-advertisement and that the cashier was so rude. read more

The shoes they carry in this store are factory seconds. They will tell you they are called seconds because they are overstocks. If that were true, I assure you they wouldn't be calling them seconds. Anyway, I bought some shoes, they felt like two different shoes on each foot. Definitely seconds. I took them back. I shop at this store everybody's very nice. The prices are OK if you're in the area but they're not worth driving out there are for. I ended up buying from their website which did not allow me to try on the shoes. which I learned a big lesson. I'll never do that again. If you're intrested in the 824 trainer and you have a wide foot do not buy them! They run super super thin. I bought a 9 and a 1/2 for E which I always wear in new balance and I couldn't even get my foot in the shoe so then I returned them and got a size 104E and the same thing happened it was like there was no difference in size. But they back their shoes in honor them and took back the merchandise but it's just a waste of time you have to be able to try the shoes on in person. For now on I'll make sure to try on shoes at another shoe store if I plan on trying known buy them online. But again if I happen to be in the area I always stop by this store. read more
