This new store inside Ontario Mills is disappointing. It is so much smaller than the old one that was down the road. There are not even two aisles for women, one seems already mixed in with kids shoes. The selection is now very limited and I certainly miss the old store where you could choose from running, walking, lifestyle, sandals, clearance and so on. Another drawback of the newer small store is the lack of space and benches to try stuff on and narrower aisles. read more

I came to New Balance (NB) outlet just to return a couple pairs of NB pickleball shoes that I bought online. It's hard to get the correct size of shoe that fits our feet. It's like a box of chocolates... we just don't know what we're going to get LOL. Anyway, I normally wear women 6.5 wide for my tennis shoes, but for the pickleball shoes I had to go up women 7.0 wide. I even tried women 7.5 wide, but that was a tad too loose. I got here about couple hours before closing time. They weren't too busy. Staff was very friendly and nice. The gentleman informed me that it takes a little bit longer to process online order returns... about 10 mins or so. No issues for me. I just perused around the store to see if there's anything to my liking. I love New Balance shoes and merchandise! I tried on a couple shirts that were 30% off... sweet! I even tried on some sweatpants also 30% off... not a very good design whatsoever! My pockets were poking out just with me standing there. No bending whatsoever was required LOL... just not the greatest design or fit. Did not buy! Worth the trip to this factory store! I was initially intimidated by the location and thought that I routed to their admin building by accident because it's literally a business building. But upon entering I felt more at ease as I was welcomed with a greeting and saw the sale signs :). They have apparel, some accessories, and of course lots of shoes. The sale price on top of the factory store special prices is unbeatable! The staff was very friendly and I was helped twice by different people. I ended up bringing home two pairs and got to use mymilitary discount on top of the other savings. I had a great shopping experience and I love my new shoes! read more

I am so sad 990 v6 is completely different than vs 3 vs 4 and vs 5. My podiatrist recommended the 990 shoes 20 years ago and I have been buying them ever since. I was buying them at least once a year in all three colors available for women. Now I am struggling finding shoes. Also unisex is not true. Women's shoes come in B with and unisex come in a D with. April was very helpful. Right when I walked in, she asked did we need any help. I explained It was our first time in any New Balance store, we'd never owned a pair of New Balance shoes, and I know absolutely NOTHING of New Balance shoes. I was told to come to New Balance from my 13 year old son's podiatrist, because my son was born with the club foot and he is starting to roll it outwards very badly; which is negatively affecting his gait. April stayed with us the whole time, helping him try on 2 different sized shoes. His right foot is 2.5 sizes smaller than the left foot. I appreciated the fact that she noticed with the pair on sale that his foot was still rolling to the side a good amount. I noticed it as well, but me knowing nothing about these new types of tennis shoes on the market nowadays, I thought, that's as good as it's going to get. She said, "I'll be right back." And came back with a more expensive 2 different sized shoes. There was a HUGE DIFFERENCE in stability with his foot. Ultimately, I dropped $400 on identical 2 different sized sets of shoes, but it was well worth it. I'd rather pay for the more expensive shoes to get our desired result; and I appreciated that April gave me both price options. All 3 of us could tell the $200 shoes were what my son's club foot needs. April is very knowledgeable in her work, very pleasant, positive, and helpful. Great selection. Prices, the day I went, weren't anything special. I did end up buying 2 pairs of sneakers that have been extremely comfortable (New Balance Women's 577 V5 Cross Trainer). I have been wearing them on vaca for the past almost 2 weeks and they feel great! I have a bump on the back of my heel (Hagland's or pump bump) so I need to have soft back shoes. Its a hidden little gem in an industrial area, that someone wouldn't even think was there, if they were just driving down the street. I happened to look up New Balance locations, and that's how I found it. We were assisted by a Brian, and he was very helpful with all her needs. They have variety of shoes and if the size isn't on the floor....they can look in the back, as well as on the IPad, to find a size. I invited Rosario after window shopping on Saturday we returned to take advantage of 2nd pair at 50% off. She took advantage and added 2 more pairs to her ever so collection of shoes collecting dust and I got my son a pair of running shoes. I feel obligated to mention, I saw a floor associate help a senior citizen using a cane assist 100%. He used a foot measuring ruler for width and length and properly fitted his size. They went through multiple styles until customer felt satisfied. Unlike the large majority of outlet stores found in Ontario Mills Mall, this New Balance Factory Store is located on the opposite side of the freeway, about a mile away in a large industrial building. It was a good find, we had been looking all day at other shoe outlets, but who am I kidding? Prices are still high. Just NOT AS HIGH. Mr B discovered one of their newer shoe designs, called Fresh Foam 980. This is an extremely light as a feather, airy shoe that he can both exercise in or just use for general wear. They carried three colors, white, grey, or blue. The shoes have a playfully multi-colored sole, and are a comfortable, good looking shoe that retails for about $119. He found them at the factory outlet for $89. Who pays retail anyway, right? The best part was, he wears a small shoe size, one that is a lot more difficult to find, but he found limited quantities here. So, we bought more than one, just for back up you see. I figure he is set for life, considering how old he is (ha ha). I hope he doesn't read this! read more

You gotta love the factory store especially then they are doing the additional 40% off annual sales for family and friends. Parking can be abit of a pain but there is plenty of street parking available for overflow parking. They pretty much stock all your usual New Balance products ranging from clothes, shoes, and workout gear. You definitely need to inspect the item before you buy it thought because they do sell "imperfect" products for certain items. They have great prices to begin with, and they are often having holiday sales, or just seasonal sales on their already great prices. The other thing that I really like about coming here is it's not your typical factory store/outlet... the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I've been to this outlet location multiple times, they always have either a sale , take and extra % off or clearance going on . The staff is great! Very helpful they always make you feel welcome. I love the fact that if they don't have my size on hand and if it's available online I can order it and have the items shipped to the store for pick up. This is important to me as I'm not at home during the day and prefer not to have things shipped to me.
