Called the restaurant directly and placed a pickup order, the staff was friendly and the food was ready for us pretty quickly (about 10 mins). This was one of the few Chinese spots nearby where I found MaPo tofu on the menu, so I was excited to give it a try! I would skip the hot and sour soup (usually one of my favorites but didn't hit the spot here) but the tofu was excellent. I got the medium spice level, but could probably turn it up a notch and go with the hot. Would come and order from here again! read more

I order from here at least once a week and the food itself is amazing. I will never order from them again! The woman delivery driver was extremely rude and disrespectful. Laying on her horn outside my home after I asked her two other times not to do that. She persisted in being nasty and saying "well don't leave me out here" it was an all of two min I told her I was getting her tip and she told me to shove it up my a**! She then shoved the food at me and tried to rip the receipt out of my hand. I crumbled it and threw it at her and she pushed me and went for my throat. I couldn't believe she put her hands on me. I then call to tell the owner and she doesn't even apologize, she tells me oh no she's my friend and a nice lady. I couldn't believe it. No apology, no offer for refund, no nothing! Incredible Sushi. My mother and I love to get an impromptu dinner when we least expect it. It happens to be the best meal of the week every time we choose the new Beijing restaurant. The staff there are friendly the prices are fair and the fish are always fresh. The fish are so fresh you have to slap it before you eat it. Just ate there, and the food was horrible. I got General Tso's Chicken and it tasted more like sweet and sour chicken. I ordered Hot & Sour soup and it tasted like pool water and no spice or taste to it what's so ever. They gave me another one and that tasted worse than the first one I ordered. When I complained the second time they replaced it Wonton soup and that wasn't too much more of an approvement. I never complain about anything but this was the first time in my 50 years of dining out at restaurants where I had to make several complaints. On top of that after I ordered and sat down I spotted a cockroach running across the floor. That should have been the first red flag right there but we already ordered our food. I just moved into the are and decided to try this takeout joint. Place is clean. That's the only good thing I can say about this place. The Wonton soup is very bland, the wonton is almost all noodle and very doughy, very little meat. The Hot and Sour soup is the worst version I ever had. Extremely bland and oily. It looks like the just took the broth from wonton soup and add tofu and other ingredients. Not spicy at all. The egg roll had very little in it, mostly wrapper. I had the House Special Lo Mein. I should have asked what was in it 1st, but assumed like other places it would include meat and some seafood. As a recent transplant to the area, this is one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. I have a soft spot for Chinese takeout, and New Beijing definitely hits the spot. My husband and I have consistently come here since our move, and pretty much everything we've tried on the menu is delicious. The portions are generous and the food is delicious. My husband swears by their seafood options and I've had various items (on and off) the dinner menu. I love their wontons and their dumplings. Just brought 4 appetizer dishes from this place. First bite of fried dumplings was horrible. They literally were dripping in oil. The cold sesame noodles were 1) not cold, 2) mushy, 3) no garnish of carrot, celery or even scallions and 4) sesame was tasteless and felt like beach sand on my tongue. Just mushy warm noodles, yuk. Fried shrimp are pounded so thin you could only taste breading. Wanton-egg drop soup was thin and watery. Just barely passable. Don't waste your money here. read more

I'm giving this restaurant a 5 for various reasons. Asked for a side of vegetable lo mein opposed to the usual white rice. The kind woman did it with no hesitation. This is a huge factor being that i asked different places for that same request, including little schezuan in little silver. Every place insisted on the customer buying a pint. Kept it simple w/ general tso + vegetable lo mein and a shrimp roll. I have to say the texture and flavor was on point. The price was incredible being that it was 12.60. Ordered food over the phone for delivery. Lady on the phone asked me if I would like to put the tip on the card, I put a 5$ tip. When delivery boy came I wanted to make sure he was given the tip from the owner. Delivery guy never received HIS tip. Called the store, did not give me a reasonable explanation and was rude. Owners only care about them selves. If you do delivery make sure your tipping them in cash. And do not tip the owners if they deliver!! I'm new to the area and a self proclaimed "foody". Dining out - whether alone or with friends - is one of my favorite activities. That being said, I make it a point to try several of the same types of restaurant to determine my go-to's and faves. I was really disappointed with my meal from New Beijing, unfortunately. I ordered Chicken w/ Garlic Sauce lunch special, pint of shrimp lo mein, and shrimp toast. The chick w/ g sauce was tasty, but the rice was unremarkable.. reminiscent of a Lipton pack I could make at home. The lo mein was soggy and lacking in flavor and the shrimp toast tasted as though the batch was fried in oil that was also used to fry fish. Yuk. The upside is the establishment was clean and the proprietors were friendly and welcoming. But I couldn't eat them :) read more

Then when I returned to the restaurant the woman was trying to call the gentlemen who had my order to come back and give it to me. just ordered a full vegetarian meal. i was given wontons with pork or beef or some unsettling meat. i was very uneasy. i have not consumed meat in years. i called in to see if they would replace at best with the vegetarian option. no. she was wildly rude before i even requested making the switch. i ordered tofu, vegetable dumplings and a few other vegetarian options... it's mind blowing that she would add pork or some other meat wonton into my order. not only that they were soaked in oil. our dumplings came with no sauce and our tofu was under sauced and oily. customer service is very important to me. if im satisfied by the service i am given.....i will a customer for life. not only that as a reviewer i will take pictures of the establishment and make sure consumers know where to go to get the service with a smile. that is everything to me. this place is a fail. dont go. read more

Wow just read the reviews on this restaurant and ordered. Disappointed is not the word. First the Hot & Sour soup was dish water the Sweet & Sour Chicken taste like it was cooked in burnt oil.
