New China!! Either I have not been to a buffet since pre pandemic or you decided to put the "New" back in New China. This stuff good! Today, I'm with the family. Everybody commenting, "green beans good, these some new tasting hot wings, everything so fresh", I literally can't keep up with all the accolades. I'll just say food and service hand in hand gets 5 Stars from me. And, you already know, if you keep this up, I'll be back.

I came here with my mom and her boyfriend to eat. I had one plate and the next I made a salad. I had put a noticeable dent in my food the ranch tasted funny but overall it was ok when I noticed a price of hair in my food. It ruined my entire appetite. When I brought it to my waiter's attention he went to get his manager. Once the manager came he tried to accuse me of putting hair on my plate. Saying "This is curly hair we only have straight hair." I honestly didn't put anything in my food my hair is colored and in braids and my mom's hair is braided and her boyfriend has dreads. There is no way I would pull hair out of my braid and head just to get a discount that's insane. All I have to say is pay close attention to your food here.

Just a sampling of a plate full!

This is one of the better ones in town when looking at a run of the mill buffet. I have never had dinner at this restaurant but the lunch is great for what it is at the end of the day. They have a good selection of items and they have hibachi as well. The food is always hot and it is clean and well kept. They have the most choices of Chinese items and have a good selection of American items to for the kids. They have a salad bar, sushi, and desert too!

This place is cheap and predictably mediocre. Drive down the hill and go to China Way instead.

Food is alright. Most has been sitting for a while. Definitely NOT vegetarian friendly. Servers are quick to clear tables.

The buffet is also the largest I've seen in the state; Top China in Hoover is a close second.

Just a few select items are discounted, and not at 50%. More like 40% for a few, the rest at 20%. 1- The service is absolutely lousy and slow. By the time I ordered my food and saw it in front of me, this nice family of four arrived 10mn after I ordered, ate and left! The restaurant was not particularly busy. Was it because I am Asian? 2- The second time I went was with a friend visiting from Chicago. He LOVES sushi. So we, 2 older gentlemen, dressed in shorts and a Star Wars shirt, arrived at 4.40. Waited about 7mn by the hostess to get seating. We asked for a booth and the said "Sorry all booths are reserved from 5pm" I knew that was a lie as which restaurant has all their booths reserved at the same time. She asked if we didn't mind seating at the sushi bar. Normally this is where they seat people when it's packed, or when they want to hide you. My friend was cool about it so we did. Again, the restaurant was not particularly busy. Upon leaving at 5.20, just a few of the booth were occupied. So yeah, the hostess lied. I wished I got her name. 3- The food was ok to good. Not a single Japanese chef in view. I lived in NY and Honolulu, and I can tell you when a sushi is good. Our waitress was fantastic and very helpful though. 4- I wonder how I will get treated when I go in a casual business attire. My take is that it is a very snobby place. I bet if you look like have money, they will service you well. If not they will reluctantly. Bottom line, do not waste your time. Service/food is inconsistent.

It was saucy but difficult to isolate the flavor of the spicy salmon and crab mix. I also got a house lime margarita which was delicious and simple. It is busy during these lunch happy hours so make a reservation or you can always sit at a bar! I will be returning but for the relaxed vibes and happy hour prices!

IKKO Japanese Fusion…read more IKKO Japanese Fusion was a pleasant culinary surprise! We ordered delivery one night and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We tried both the Salmon and Beef Poke Bowls. The Salmon was outstanding -- fresh and flavorful, easily my favorite. The Beef version was a bit bland and dry for my taste, though. The sides really shined. The Takoyaki (octopus dumplings) were delicious and unique, topped with Takoyaki sauce, tempura scraps, and perfectly cooked. The Gyoza, Japanese Egg Rolls, and Shrimp Tempura were all light, crispy, and excellent. The Squid Salad was also very good and made a nice addition. Overall, a tasty experience with some standout items. We'll definitely be back soon!

They have so many different types of ramen that are perfect when you need something warm, flavorful, and comforting. My absolute favorite, however, is the build you own sushi burrito. They have so many different additions and proteins to choose from at a very affordable price for the volume you receive. My friends and I also love stopping in just to grab boba at the front to-go counter. The boba always comes out very quickly and they have a large menu of fruit teas and milk teas to choose from. Service is always quick and friendly and I usually am able to be seated immediately. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for Japanese cuisine, or just to gather at a restaurant where there is something everyone can enjoy!

We started off with the pork momos which were delish! Couldn't decide between ramen and sushi and they let us order one ramen and split it for us, which was perfect! All servers made sure drinks were filled and each table had what they needed. Food is always great but I did try something new and everything was excellent. The batter on the green beans were so crunchy and perfectly salted! I dipped mine in soy sauce but it also comes with a pretty tasty and mild sauce. My cocktail was so light and refreshing! Not sweet and very nice sake! Highly recommend! The bulgogi was good as well! I'm not a huge fan of kimchi but this was good! Lots of jasmine rice and carrots! Only critique for the entree would be to add a little more flavor. Maybe a tempura crunch, or a roasted nut, or each some green onion to give an added flavor. I did add soy sauce on it and it was pretty good! No complaints and a happy belly here! Great atmosphere for date or family night. I have a hard time refusing any brussel sprout dish when dining out, and this one did not disappoint! The Brussels were perfectly crispy and had a perfect sweet & spicy flavor. The Kadoma Tuna is a circular, crispy rice cake, topped with spicy tuna and avocado. I love trying rice cake dishes whenever I see them. This one was more rice-heavy, but it's still packed with flavor. We then ordered the Beef Wrapped Asparagus, along with the Bangkok Sushi Roll and the Suteki Roll. My favorite was the Bangkok Roll, which was topped with matchstick potatoes. The Suteki Roll was super unique, filled with sliced apple, cream cheese, avocado, and salmon. The Beef Wrapped Asparagus was a good addition, but I'm most impressed with the rolls we ordered. The menu is unique and comprehensive. There's detail put into every dish! With more dishes left to try on the menu, I imagine I'll be back shortly!

Overpriced mediocrity…read more First off, the restaurant is more of a sports bar sushi place. Which doesn't really work. The inside was extremely dark, and very loud. There was clearly an overstaffing of servers. There were about 6 or 7 servers for about 4 takes that were in there. Meanwhile the sushi makers were trying their hardest to push out the rolls. And the single bartender was overwhelmed. The sushi was pricey (18-20$ for 6-8 pieces) and EXTREMELY underwhelming. Didn't seem like high quality fish or anything special. Could get similar quality for much cheaper elsewhere. My favorite sushi place that is about the same price point is Bamboo on 2nd. I've been going there for years and never had a bad experience. They have much higher quality sushi, better service, and food in general. (No I'm not affiliated with them)
