The food was absolutely terrible! The food was cold and upsetted my stomach . Me and my guest both have upset stomachs , asked to pay for the rice and my beverage and they refused to allow me to do that and forced me to pay for the whole buffet . Called the police instead of trying to resolve the issue in house because their food was disgusting . They said they serve 300 people so there is no way for me to dislike the food . The food was delicious and our server was pleasant. My only issue with this place was the seating (too close together) and the desserts (average buffet desserts, just not very good). It was fun while it lasted. 11 years. I'm a regular - maybe once or twice a week - almost always with others. Went in today by myself. The hostess wanted to seat me in the back room. I don't like it back there. There were tons of open table and booths in the front or along the side. She told me people were sitting in those places and only place was in the back room. I walked out. My husband and I love Chinese food as well as sushi. The place was very clean. However, we requested to be setted in a booth and the two hostess got very flustered and argued with each other about if they could. When there were plenty of booths opened for us to sit in. The chicken on the buffet was good. However the sushi left very little to be desired. It was awful!!! Not sure how this place gets a 3 1/2 average. There a couple of items that were decent but most are chewy and or flavorless. Waitress was unfriendly, as in no hello, goodbye, how is everything etc... Last week I went into New China Buffet and noticed some things that weren't very appetizing. The sushi station(like anyone should be eating sushi from there anyway)seemed to be a little warmer than it needed to be and the hot stations seemed to be colder than they should have been. I also noticed a lot of employees sitting in the back eating their own made food from the restaurant. Which consisted of a very large metal bowl they were all sticking their hands into and grabbing whatever they were eating out of it.. Which I investigated; some kind of meat floating in water. Then I noticed a woman who was distributing the food to the buffet. At this point I had already stopped eating. She was wearing gloves BUT she never changed them, which negates the reason for gloves. She ran her had down the buffet counters(the way a child would run their hand down a wall, carefree out of boredom)stopped at the large metal bowl, stuck her hand in, ATE THAT FOOD WITH THE GLOVED HAND, then went to the back, grabbed another tray of food and distributed it out to the buffet. I got up and left. It was disgusting. Probably one of the dirtiest restaurants I've ever stepped into. Probably not to anyone who hasn't been in food and beverage for 20 years, but as someone who has, absolutely disgusting. I, by no means whatsoever was expecting a fine dining experience, but I was expecting something a little more sanitary than a gas staton bathroom. Also, the staff might as well be non existent. We have been going for years, and have never been disappointed. They have a huge selection of good food including in-house made sushi, raw oysters, crab legs (which I don't care for, but are wildly popular,) and a hibachi bar where they will cook everything right in front of you. I always start with a big plate of sushi, of which they have a very good selection. The honey chicken and coconut shrimp are two of my other favorites. The spring rolls and crab angels are always very good too. They have a selection of American food (pizza, fried chicken, and even fried chicken livers,) but I have never given any of it a taste as there is too much good Chinese food to try in one sitting! The place is usually pretty crowded, but I have never been overwhelmed by the crowds in line or anything. The prices are also very reasonable. Very highly recommended, and one of our go to Chinese restaurants (and honestly the only buffet of any kind in town that I really like!) read more

I've given this place it's last chance. A few years ago, it was great but my past few experiences have been rough. The bar is always empty (except for the food so old no one will touch it.). If you ask for something, you will be ignored. I awaited for 45 mins for dim sum and the attendant wouldn't get it and the rest of the staff refused to acknowledge me. Not long ago I watched the attendant repeatedly play with a skewer in her mouth then touch the food. Tonight I thought to give it one last shot. Half the bar was empty even though it was dinner time. I barely got any food to go and was charged $16 when I didn't even get to get the food I wanted. The person working up front didn't seem to care when I told him it was empty. I've worked in restaurants for my entire working life and I have never given a poor review but New China Buffet III, you earned it. read more

This place sucks. It is the worst Chinese that I ever ate in my life. The food tastes old and everything was dried out. $3.50 for a soda. For two people the bill was $29.79 and I took only a few bites of this crap now I have to go eat some where else. Some people go for all you can eat instead of quality food. I do not recommend anyone to ever come to this place honestly. We came in and walked to the woman to seat my fiancé and I, she firstly directed us to the checkout desk to PAY first when the people in front of us was just seated. Didn't think about it then but as we were eating, I saw people receiving their bills along with Fortune cookies. I then asked my waitress, "why did we have to pay first if others didn't?" She pretended then to not know any English and directed me to another woman. I presented her the same question, she was hesitant to answer and said " we have some-" then said, " I don't know how to say this." I interrupted and said, " you thought I was going to just leave without paying." And she said yes and directed me to the front to management which is the same man who cashed me out. I asked him then the same question and he had a dumbfounded face and said "we do have people who just walk out" and I said ," so u just looked at us and assumed we wasn't going to too?" Then tried to lie and say he asked me first did I want to pay first or later. Like wow, he really just profiled me as a thief. If you feel some people will leave and not pay, make EVERYONE pay first. After my son's graduation, we decided to take my whole family here. We arrived at 8:15 and were continuously told that they closed at 9:30 and no later. The staff was very rude, the food was cold and sucked! At 9:05 they brought out a shop vac and began to vacuum . Continuously spraying dust from the back of the shop vac all over us and the buffet line. The bathrooms had no door locks, no handles on the faucets and were extremely disgusting. I have visited this restaurant before with caution, and it was just ok...nasty restrooms, and broken booths. Went to this restaurant on yesterday and had the WORST service I have EVER had! First we walked in and the restaurant was very warm, and they had suchi and oysters sitting out on ice. Red flag that something was wrong! My food and my daughter's food was cold and my husband's rice was mushy and hardly any was left on the steam table. He asked them to bring out more. We informed the waitress that my chicken, fish, and shrimp were cold and my daughter's chicken on a stick was cold. I told my daughter that if it's cold don't eat it, so she won't be sick! The waitress touched the fish and said it was warm. I nicely told her I am pregnant and CAN NOT eat the cold food. We tried to be as nice as we could and she kept telling us that they keep their food at 250 degress and that the food was fine! My food was ICE COLD. She tried to take us back to the steam table to prove to us that the food was warm, and I just wanted to leave. We told the cashier and the waitress followed us as if she was about to take us to jail! After the cashier listened to the waitress yell in their language, he says how can you tell the food isn't cold if you didn't eat it! Me and my daughter ate NOTHING, and my husband had a few bites. He told him that he ate and that we would pay for his food. He quickly rang up our order as if that's all he wanted to hear, that I was paying for something just to get us out of there. I told him that I would go back and sit down and eat the food, get sick and SUE THEM! They were VERY rude and didn't try to help satisfy us in anyway. WE WILL NOT BE BACK! read more

It's a standard Americanized-Chinese place with everything you'd expect, and a bit more than some (sushi, which I tried and found okay; hibachi grill, which I didn't; oysters [fine, not a lot]). Went there twice, once when they weren't busy, once late on a Sunday afternoon when they were very busy indeed. A bit better when they're not too busy as things tend to run out and they're not always able to keep up. The food is... not bad. Of course it's better when it hasn't been on the steam tables too long (an advantage of visiting when they're very busy), and I'd say this is one of the better buffet restaurants of this kind I've eaten at in the past few years -- but still, that means a 3-star rating because the food is the sort of food you get at this sort of place. If you're really hungry and Chinese-ish buffet food is comfort food for you, this place is just fine -- maybe 4-star in your book. read more

this place is absolutely terrible!! the hostess came up to me and my little brother to get in my face and ask me why am i sharing with him with out him paying i informed her he brought his own food and he tried a bite of a cake. he does not like chinese he just wanted to try. so as shes informing me shes maybe 1 foot away from my face talking to me like im stupid. definitely will not be back and the man taking our money was just as rude. im not one to complain but when we come in there and pay 30 dollar for shitty service its just pitiful ..i highly recommend if a manager sees this to atleast give a hint to them or thats where they will be working for the rest of their life sadly. was having a good day until too!! just pitiful. but im just confused why she is worried about a 7 year old trying a nasty cupcake is just as important as her phone. because everytime we saw her she was bent over the podium on her phone. hope they have a better day than what they are. read more
