This is my local neighborhood Chinese spot. The owners have changed quite a few times. With the owners changing food also changes. The wings and fries are my go too order. It's a hit or miss. Sometimes the wings come out small and sometimes big. But with the fries ketchup and hot sauce it definitely smacks lol. I just ordered the beef and broccoli which was good. My kid also likes it so that's a win! I've ate inside pre Covid, but haven't done so since. This is the pick up or delivery Chinese spot for sure! read more

Love, love, love their Fried Pk Dumpling :) - always the best!! [think they're the best freshest dumplings on the island*] Great Moo Shu. Love trying new/ small dishes- give the Beef w/Peking sauce a go if you like spicy, or Roast Pork w/veggies if you can't take the heat. The Orange Chicken, or the Orange Beef are good; or try the Jumbo Shrimp in garlic sauce, or the Double Delight!! Someone at this restaurant recently learned about price gouging by means of inflation consciousness, and thought: "why not?" Given the mediocre to execrable food this places serves, there is no good reason for sesame beef at close to $16. $5.25 for disgusting and tasteless hot and sour soup? This is not Shun Lee Palace, whose prices have always been absurdly high. At least the ingredients are fresh, and there are tablecloths. As to cost, I'm sure Shun Lee's rent is beyond belief. DB Chinese is not located in midtown Manhattan. DB uses pre-cut vegetables, plenty of canned mushrooms, soy oil or fry-max, and sauces that come in a bottle. All of this is incompetently handled by the kitchen, and prices aside, is some of the worst Chinese food I've stumbled on. "Great" Chinese restaurants are sadly a rarity. "Ok" places are just that. But DB Double is one of the multitudes of machine-quality Chinese food establishments, virtually all of which are terrible. And shame on them for trying to gouge this neighborhood. I guess the "Double" in their name is a not so sly reference to what has happened to their prices. If bad Chinese food is acceptable for anyone , it needs to be reasonably priced, if not cheap. Their prices are insanely high for what you get. Fried rice is a relatively cheap dish, 1) their ingredient portions are nonexistent. Pork fried rice is supposed to have more than 2 cubes of pork, and since when is egg an add on? eggs are literally pennies and they charge a buck. Save your money and make it at home. The food is delicious and comes fresh out the wok. I really enjoyed my shrimp fried rice and the shrimp egg rolls. They were so yummy and hot. My Husband complained about his wings being too small and not crispy enough but I was satisfied. read more

The food is not a far cry from places like Big Wong and Wo Hop in Manhattan Chinatown. Wings are good, broccoli with garlic sauce is good, if not addicting. Fried chicken is dry. Singapore rice noodle is authentic!! The Chow fun is spot-on. Egg fu young, the sauce is a little too thick but it's tasty. General tso's sauce is so good its addicting. The steamed wonton is great with the sauce that comes with it. Sweet and sour dishes are bit over fried but you get what you pay for. The roast pork is good. Sesame chicken could be meatier. Orange chicken is good. I give this place 5-stars because it has saved me many nights of non-cooking. read more

Avoid this place at all cost it is disgusting.. Service is horrible. And the food is barely recognizable.. My little cousin got food poisoning and all she ate was soup and chicken wings. I've order from this place for over seventeen (17) years and I've always been pleased. The food is nice, always hot and very fresh. This food was not totally gross, it was edible, but basically flavorless. No garlic or ginger in the chicken with broccoli. Egg roll was Ok. Nothing to write home about for certain. I think this is the closest place to my job, so I had to try it. I will be trying another place next time. read more

I went to this place late night and was one of the few places to eat. How can someone mess up half fried chicken with French fries. Over cooked and instead of French fries I got fried rice. However there getting two stars because at least they were clean. I also got an egg roll and that was one of the worse egg rolls I've ever eaten. read more

Disgusting place. The food was nasty. The pork fried rice looked burned and was half hard as ticks and half rubbery. The dumplings were under cooked as were the egg rolls. We couldn't even finish our food and the couple of friends that tried it said they had the same experience with different dishes. I would highly suggest finding a different place to eat. read more

Normally, my husband and I order general tso chicken with white meat and broccoli, brown rice, and shrimp toast and it is pretty decent. However, today, was horrible!!!!!' I don't know if they are using a different cook, but the food was disgusting!!!!! The broccoli tasted like dish water and the chicken didn't even look like chicken, it looked like calamari......disgusting.....and the shrimp toast wasn't as good as usual. Until tonight I called this place exclusively but no more! They sent me some extras for ordering so much food to include red jello with mold on top growing in several places. Also I asked them to make the beef and scallio. Dish spicy and ot wasn't and the egg drop wonton soup was slimy and appeared to have raw egg in it. But the mold was what troubled me most so I called the restraurant. A male answered and told me they put "sprinkles" in jello. Not mold! Hahaha. I know green mold and there were more areas where mold was forming in the jello. I hung up. I will never call them again. read more
