Vegetable Pakora Vegetable Samosa Vegetarian Dinner
    Andrea M.

First time trying this restaurant and decided to go the takeout route, which is a bold choice when you don't know how well the hot food will travel. I was super impressed with how everything was perfectly packaged and labeled. No spillage and it made it home still hot and fresh. The food itself was delicious but my favorite was the vegetable pakora. Would recommend!

What is disappointment? The lunch buffet was. When I walked in, I asked what the price was, expecting it to be $17 like someone posted last month. The gentleman told me $19. When the bill arrived it was actually $19.57. As other reviewers have mentioned, the food was on the bland side. It did not have unique flavors compared to other places the garlic naan was excellent. Service was just OK. I had to ask for more water and there were no spoons on the buffet for the dessert.

Always love their food! Great buffet for Lunch! The water glass is crystal clean, water is good and the food is fresh! Parking is easy too, in the back and amazing view out the window! Look at the natural light!

Chicken Tikka Masala, Vegetarian Dinner, Garlic Naan

This place had delicious food, and the ambiance was really nice since the restaurant is located on the second floor of the building and you can see out. The service was attentive, and I'll definitely go back!

This was a fantastic experience. From the first bite of our vegetable Samosas I knew the flavor profiles would be outstanding. The service was fantastic looks like a small family runs it sweet kind attentive people. The food was finger licking good. Chicken Tandoori and Chicken Massala and chanamasala with the Garic Naan were perfection this will be a new regular spot for us.

Came here for their lunch buffet on a Sunday, we noticed this place after grabbing food at Hummus Labs and decided to give it a try since it's close by. Parking is usually not a problem in the upper lot of the structure and the stairs lead right to the restaurant. It was not busy at all when we arrived close to noon so we got a table right away. I don't know if their selection changes daily or occasionally but was a little disappointed they didn't have butter chicken or tikka masala that day. So I tried the chicken curry, potatoes, pakoras, chili chicken and lamb curry. The chili chicken was super dry and over cooked. The lamb and chicken curry was a bit bland. I also found the pakora way too full of nothing but onions which I'm not a fan of. The naan that came was fresh and hot although again a little bland, could barely taste the garlic. For dessert they had gulab jaman but it was cold instead of hot which is not NH preference. For $22.99 before tax and tip, I was left pretty unimpressed. I prob would've given them another shot if it was a little cheaper, maybe their other dishes are better but have a hard justifying $29/pp after tax and tip for pretty mediocre food. It's a shame because I was looking forward to having an Indian buffet spot close by (we typically go to a spot in Rosemead which is pretty out of the way).

This place is often overlooked, but their coconut curry chicken is the best I've ever had.

Service is good! They took like.. 30 minutes to prepare the food. I would recommend ordering ahead. They play soft Indian music which is a nice vibe.. also some kind of thin bread appetizer for free. - Chicken Coconut Curry 5/5 AMAZING. I asked them to make it 10/10 spicy and they did just that! It tasted amazing. It was very rich and flavorful and spicy! [RECOMMEND] - Lamb Tikka Masala 2.9/5 Lamb is very tender and delicious. The sauce however has too much tomato taste. - Tandoori Chicken 4.5/5 The chicken was very tender and had good charcoal taste. - Garlic Naan 4/5 I've had better naan, but definitely a staple to get with the curry! You also have to order basmati rice on the side. Free upper deck parking in the structure!

I came to this restaurant with some of my co-workers for lunch the other day. It is located on the 2nd floor so you'll have to walk through a flight of stairs to get here... not too bad. It is an Indian food buffet. The food selections are okay, but the flavors were lacking a little bit... kinda bland. Portions that they bring out every time was kinda low. I wanted to get some of the meats & veggies and they were gone really fast. Anyway, one of the chicken items was tender and delicious though... I just don't remember which one... sauce was yellow with chucks of dark chicken meat that's all I remember... probably chicken curry LOL. I didn't care for the chicken tikka masala as the chicken was dry and tough. Naan bread was good, but I didn't taste any garlic though. The spice level was just right for me since I tend to normally go for medium spice. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Buffet price was a little high for the food selections IMHO. Ambiance was quaint... love the artwork! They have plenty of space for group gatherings. You're more than welcome to give them a try. Happy Dining!

Ask the Community - New Delhi Palace

    Do they have lunch buffets?

Yes. they just started like a month a go after covid

    Access to use for Wheelchair?

Yes, there is a ramp from the parking lot entered off of Mentor.

I tried to go here tonight, and could not for the life of me find the entrance to the parking lot! Of course, the weather was so awful I could barely see. Where is it? Thanks.

The parking is on North Mentor Ave. Just north of Colorado blvd. Mentor is a oneway street. If you turn from Colorado Blvd the parking lot is upstairs and it's the first lot on your left.

Expect to pay $20+ for most of the dishes Ordered the Avocado Benedict ($20.95) and it consisted of 2 egg muffins, topped with a poached egg, avocado, and ham, as well as a garden salad and country fried potatoes. One of the eggs arrived destroyed so it was already runny and the other one was a little overcooked so it wasn't perfectly poached as I was expecting but it wasn't too big of a deal. The ham was a little dry and salty but the avocado was very delicious and fresh. The egg muffin was quite cold and dry so it wasn't too enjoyable. The garden salad was pretty basic and just had some greens, corn, and tomatoes so nothing too special. The potatoes arrived cold, dry and slightly crunchy. It was extremely salty so it was hard to enjoy Overall, I thought the food was a little pricey and underwhelming unfortunately.

Unfortunately, this was a really disappointing experience. The woman taking our order did not seem to know what Celiac disease or gluten even was, and became visibly annoyed when I asked basic questions about food preparation and cross contamination. When I asked about the prep station and whether gloves or utensils could be changed, she refused to ask the cooks. From what I was told, nearly everything shares the same grill. The only item that might potentially be safe would be eggs cooked in a separate pan, but without changing gloves or utensils, even that would not actually be safe for someone with Celiac disease. I ended up not eating at all. I actually left my party and waited in the car because I wanted to cry. It was embarrassing and honestly heartbreaking to feel like asking questions to protect my health was treated like an inconvenience. I completely understand not every restaurant can accommodate Celiac, but kindness, honesty, and basic understanding go a long way. I hope the staff can receive better education about food allergies and cross contamination in the future.

So rich, flavorful, and exactly the kind of thing I wanted to keep drinking forever. The actual noodles and beef were a little underwhelming though. At one point the noodles kind of gave instant noodle vibes, which felt like a missed opportunity because the broth deserved better. I almost wish there were different noodle options or honestly just less noodles because I mostly just wanted to sip the broth. We also tried the ube gnocchi, which sounded amazing in theory, but it ended up being a little too creamy for me and I did not get as much ube flavor as I was hoping for. The real standout besides that incredible broth was the chicken wings. So crispy, so tender, and ridiculously flavorful. Absolutely would order those again.
