I found this Thai restaurant after looking for a new place that stayed open past 8pm. I was very happy with the quality of their food! The customer service is always excellent and I particularly like the curry dishes. The vegetables red curry dish is better than other places I've gone to, such as Saladang. Also ordered fried chicken it came with rice, trued to substitute rice for salad but server says cannot do that. We've been coming to this spot for years, even back when it had different owners the Thai food was always amazing. We recently decided to try it again under the new ownership, and wow... still absolutely delicious! We ordered the Pad Thai, Thai Fried Rice, and Pineapple Fried Rice. My husband also had a Thai Iced Tea with boba everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. This is officially our go-to Thai food place! The restaurant is small and cozy, with a calm and quiet ambiance. The service was excellent professional, polite, and very attentive. Even the bathroom was spotless, which is always a plus. I dropped off my car for a tire service and had an hour or so to kill. It was close to lunch time so I walked into Beau Thai as I saw the attractive lunch special menu outside the restaurant. I walked in and promptly greeted by the server. It's a quiet and relaxing restaurant for a party of one for lunch. There is a huge variety of items on the menu. I always love pad soon sen and that's what I ordered. The lunch was good and the service was prompt. I enjoyed the quiet lunch and was able to pick up my car immediately after lunch. More people need to go to Beau Thai. I'm mad this place isn't packed every night. It's easily one of the best Thai spots in Pasadena. I got the green curry with chicken and literally licked the bowl clean. So rich, so flavorful, just the right amount of spice. The pad thai with shrimp was great too. Not overly sweet like a lot of places make it. The spicy eggplant with tofu was tasty, but the tofu itself was kind of bland. Might have just been an off day for that one. The menu has all the hits, from panang curry, pad see ew, crab fried rice, to Thai iced tea. Portions are solid and prices are totally fair for the quality. It's more of a casual takeout or delivery vibe with some indoor seating if you want to eat in. I'll definitely be ordering again. This place deserves way more love than it gets. It gives hole in the wall place and there were not a lot of costumers, but that didn't stop the wait staff from being attentive and constantly checking in on us. More cream cheese to crab meat/green onion ratio but it tasted pretty good. I also liked how the wonton wrapper wasn't too thick but still very crispy. The sweet/sour sauce was also tasty and had a thinner consistency than others I've tried. Tom Kha Noodle Soup - coconut-y, creamy Tom Kha filled with purple onions, mushrooms, and tomatoes. My husband and I ordered food here last night when we found our regular Thai spot to be closed. The service was really wonderful. They were very accommodating to our gluten sensitivity and were able to adjust dishes accordingly. We got the pad see ew, green curry, and the spring rolls with shrimp. Given our restrictions, they kept sauce off from the pad see ew completely. This is a different approach from our regular spot who just uses different sauces for gf, but we still really appreciated it. It definitely wasn't as flavorful as we are used to, but we are grateful for their care. The green curry was very good. A little bit on the sweeter side, which is not fully my preference, but it was still nourishing and flavorful! The springs rolls are gluten free, but it looked like the peanut sauce had hoisin in it, so I was unable to use it just to be safe. You may need to take extra care and double-check menu items if you have a gluten sensitivity or allergy. This wouldn't be my first pick for Thai places when eating gluten free, but I think those without this dietary need will really enjoy the food and service here! read more

The best part was the pork, but the noodles and veggies were right there too, just flavor burst after burst with every bite. Came here for dine-in on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty. The outside area can seem a bit sketch but there's plenty of parking right out front. The server was very quick to get everything taken care of. The tap water tasted funky though, not sure if it's the bleach taste or a weird filter. Papaya Salad- a bit tangy, sour, and sweet, with lots of lettuce. I wouldn't say it's my favorite but it was enjoyable and fresh. 4/5 Satay Chicken - Nicely seared and not dry, and comes with peanut sauce and chunks of cucumber. 4/5 Spicy Basil- very flavorful dish with fresh bell peppers and lots of garlic and basil flavors. I had the ground chicken and it was very good to mix with rice. 4.5/5 For most of the dishes, the quality was there, however portion sizes were just average for the price, most of us were still hungry despite ordering 2 appetizer and a main course for each person. read more

Decided to come here to check out this place as I was volunteering at the American Red Cross in Pasadena. Super close by. Yay!! Feels like I won the lottery. Located on Colorado Blvd, between Eloise Ave and Altadena Dr. You can park on the street, but I must warn you there's this ginormous tree that will have its fruits drop on your car. So I recommend parking in the back of the parking lot and walk to the restaurant. Inside the restaurant is cute, small spot. Love their fans and lighting. There are about 7 tables and sufficient chairs. Love their plants and decor. Thank god it's not stuffy in here. They have music playing in the background and it's pretty relaxing. It was not too busy when I got here so I got a table right away. I was provided with a menu and the waitress took my order as soon as I was ready. Everything I ordered came out pretty quick. I ordered their Thai iced tea ($3.95) and it's perfect for this hot weather. Love the fact that they also bring cold water without me asking for one. I ordered pork jerky ($11.95) as my appetizer. You can tell that they just cooked it as it's soft and hot. The sauce that comes with it is banging!! Can you say umami?? For my main course I ordered one of their lunch specials: (available Monday - Friday from 11-3pm), Chicken Pad Thai ($10.95, additional $3 if you want shrimp or beef) and it comes with green salad, white rice (you can get brown rice for additional $1), and veggie egg roll. Flavor of the entree is on point. Portion is pretty big for one person. For dessert, I ordered their sweet sticky rice with mango, which is seasonal ($10.95). Coconut is creamy and sweet. Mango is a bit on the sour side. But it balance out the sweetness from the coconut on top of the sticky rice. This place is legit and would totally come back when I'm in Pasadena. read more

Amazing service and food! We celebrated our grandma's birthday tonight with all the grandchildren and they accommodated us so well! They were able to fit 23 of us and were really quick with bringing orders out for us. There was only one server! She also had to tend to other tables but did so well with our hectic family! They kept our cake in the back and brought it out on a little table to help us celebrate! We all had a wonderful experience here. The food was amazing, the service was even better! Yum! Stopped by around 3 pm on a Tuesday, so the restaurant was pretty empty. Service was very quick and I received my order within minutes. I ordered the fresh ginger with pork at a reasonable price (about $15 without tip). Tasted fresh and good; I liked the generous shreds of ginger. One of our favorite Thai places to order now! Pad Thai is good, better than a lot of places in the 626 area but definitely not the best. Their shrimp quality in dishes are very good and fresh. Probably the BEST, even fresher and more quality than Long Beach's Chiang Rai. The pineapple curry I feel I end up with just the broth, not as much veggies/ingredients as other places. Their papaya salad is delicious! The BEST in 626 so far. The only minor complaint is instead of some cabbage they provide you with a mixed green salad (just a preference thing). The salad is still really good, and great because I dont like eating rice sometimes and it's perfect enough to eat by itself. And WHOoOoo WHEeeEE their spiciest ?? They don't f around it was deliciously painful. Couldn't stop. When I'm in the mood to just have spicy but chill I order their medium spicy. (Disclaimer: I eat spicy foods well).
